My father was a Devil Dog in Korea and he and I never stopped ribbing each other. I alwas liked to remind him the Marines are our (I'm Navy) "sister service" and he was always telling me how we just hauled the Marines around so they could do the real fighting. Always with the greatest love and respect, though. I admire the Marines more than I care to admit, and when I call them "Crayon Eaters" it's with the utmost respect. Well, that and I know they wouldn't understand a real compliment. ; )
Hello... I'm a 7th generation Marine, since the first of my family joined the Corps in 1775, even before there was an America. My grandfather was in WWI in France, earning the title "Devil Dog" from the Germans, my father was in the South Pacific, and yes, he served with "Chesty". I had the honor, as a child, to meet the man himself when my dad took me to his house in Virginia. All I recall is that he had a booming voice, his wife made great cookies, and my dad acted like he was in church, for the reverence he gave to that elderly man that day. I served, going in at the tail end of Vietnam, thru Desert Storm, the first Gulf War. At the time of this, I have 5 cousins still in uniform, and three of their children are talking about joining the "Family Business". Some families have doctors, some have carpenters, we make Marines I guess...

John Basilone and all the United States Marines and Navy Corpsmen that fought in the Pacific are the greatest men that ever walked the face of the earth.
I joined the Marine Corps 2 days after I turned 17 in 1981. I'll be 59 this year, and it was still the best thing I've done in my life. I was fortunate enough to have served during peacetime, but I couldn't be more proud of my service, and even more proud of my Brothers and Sisters who have served throughout the great history of our Marine Corps. Semper Fidelis!
You should listen to country artist Big and Rich song "8th of November"!!! Also, "That's Why I Pray". John Rich is very outspoken on controversial topics and is a true American patriot! Love from Texas🤠🤠🤠
Been to the tomb of the unknown. My son took his mom n me … I’ve seen my share of parades for fallen .. this one place is a humbling experience ! This is to remember those who were never identified .. they have given up it all for America even their past life & name ! 🙏🏼🇺🇸
Not a music video, but you should look up Audie Murphy. He was the most decorated soldier of WWII and then an actor in about 40 movies. His story is amazing...
There's actually a song about him by a band called Sabaton. The song is called To Hell and Back. Some of the lyrics are pulled from poems that he wrote.
Thank you for the respect of the American spirit, and the Red, White, And Blue we love so much. Remember where the spirit and resolve, the colors came from. The transplanted roots grew strong, and took hold in this land. We kept the colors, only exchanging St. Andrew’s Cross for a field of stars, our representation. Brothers May argue and fight, but in the end, are brothers.
My step dad drilled me day in day out to be a marine, I'm AF and ARMY was too afraid to be a Marine I wish I was... but I feel like I am since the age of six
Love all the videos that you have shown, Thank You. you might enjoy the Marine Silent Drill Team. it's great, what they do with their rifles. Go Marines, Go U.S.A. Good Bless You
I know the marine corps gave a lot of its tanks and tanker to the army. The reason being is because of marine corps wants to go back to what a marine corps is, like securing beach heads and fighting on the water

Love the marine corps but they haven't truly been deployed for a long time, Most appointments to Active combat zones are done by the army. Marines are usually sent to train others or patrol, they usually just get caught up in the figh but Marines are crayon eaters and don't shy from the fight
I would enjoy a variety. I mirror your political views, etc. So I would enjoy your commentary on each. I also love history. I'm quite interested in WW2.
I think that when you come to America you should run for President of the United States. You have more love for our country then our own president does. Thank you for caring for America and the ones who serve. God Bless
