subtle excellence. great watch for someone that appreciates quality without wanting a brand that shouts "I have money", or doesn't want too much attention

$6k. Wow. Well, I'd say I'm surprised, but I'm not. They make some really nice pieces, I have the Club 36, and I can say that I absolutely love it. It's one of my favorite watches. I don't know, however, if I would go to their top-tier watches, I think I would be most comfortable in the mid-range, where I find their designs most appealing. This is a stunning watch, though I have no use for a GMT, so the added cost for that functionality would be completely lost on me. Great review as always.

The not limited version goes for $3500 now, that’s a pretty good deal.

I've always loved this watch. They always call it a world timer but more of a GMT - showing two time zones, which is all that you need. Great design beautiful dial depth and a great way to display the information. Nice with the lacquer. I agree with you a unique piece.

That is unquestionably, to me, the coolest, most user-friendly and elegant world timer I’ve ever seen. I do a lot of traveling by ship, and keeping up with the time in various ports is a pain - even with my GMT watch. Most other dual-zone watches irritate me, because each time you adjust your local time, the home time changes too. This means it can be really easy to mess up. Nomos’ version eliminates this! Bravo!

Wish it wasn't so big, but man that's a cool watch

Have always wanted Zurich Worldtime with the blue steel hands.

Unfortunately this and all Nomos are an anti thesis of integrated lug / bracelets. The long lugs with gaping space between the strap, the watch body and smaller wrists makes wearing one pretty awkward! Only if they had curved the lug and made it shorter!

I’m still confused how you tell which time zone it’s reading? The cities are all around in a circle but what tells you which city is actually being shown? Is it whatever city is listed at the 12 o’clock position?

Beautiful watch. Always love this watch since I first saw it and played the jumping hour.

Great review... Is it just me or does the minute hand look too long when it crosses the hour hand? Cheers

so when you turn the crown to change time the "home" subdial adjusts as well?

its a worldtimer so I do understand the higher pricepoint due to the movement and such , but Nomos isnt a brand Id spend 6 grand on , but it looks like a decent piece and good vid!

I don’t like the clunky world timer mechanism it makes me feel as though something will break however I suppose it’s not used a lot and so it should be durable

What do you mean only 30 pieces? You can still buy it on their website.

This is a different piece, the hands and dial are different, look closer 😄

So, it is not really a World timer but a GMT: it shows only two time zone at the same time and not at least 24 time zones at once as a real world timer, e.g. the Orient Star wz0031jc, SJC00002D or SJC00001B0 all of those with the added benefit of including date and power reserve complications. Otherwise, a very detailed and informative review. Thanks for the video.

At 2500.00 they could sell hundreds, but at 6100 no way, too much competition.

    • @tonyl7000

Brian Teddy Their more standard GMT sells for about 4000 already.

Interesting.. At $6100, I am interested, not at $2500. If I am spending thousands, I would like to buy some exclusivity.

Bob Cortez its all in house made by real watchmakers and designers. So how is real craftsmanship like this not exclusive?

Damned, that looks huge and really doesn't look good at all. Shame, as it could have been a great watch.

it's barely 40mm. I went to a local dealer and saw it in person, I was suprised at how small it was.

Unless it's Patek, Rolex, or Omega... I'm just not interested. I've spent too much money in the past on shitters. $6100 is almost Rolex Explorer price new.

    • @wornandwound
      @wornandwound  6 лет назад +33

Nomos has bona fide horological chops. May not be for you, that's fine, but it's far from a "shitter."

    • @omginever

wornandwound I think if someone is mentioning words "rolex" and "shitter" in their comment its pretty obvious they came from our beloved horned troll.
