    Great ideas! Maybe just to add to the list: West Coast Swing. WCS actually is danced to pop music, especially the current genre of pop music.

    Where du you look while dancing? If it is a casual dance with a random person would it be to intnse to look in the eyes all the time?

    • @BallroomFeed
      @BallroomFeed  Год назад +1

      You can look at each other if it feels right or you can always look over her shoulder off to the left if it feels to intense to stare right into each others eyes :)

    Is there a reason that you did Hustle with even counts (1234) rather than counting And 1 2 3? just to simplify for non dancers or is that a different style?

    • @BallroomFeed
      @BallroomFeed  2 года назад +3

      Actually has more to do with speed. I can dance either to any song, 1234 is just slower and +123 dances faster :) Great question

      @@BallroomFeed As the hustle/discofox dancer from Russia, i have greater question even for directions of the steps))) Like why the change of directions is placed on 1-2 steps, not 3-4)
      But i understand hustle differs a lot around the globe) Thank you for mentioning it)

    I woukd love if you can explain the counting. Sometimes you start at 2,3,4,5,6, and other tines you start at 123456. Thank you. Great vids

    • @BallroomFeed
      @BallroomFeed  2 года назад +5

      Depending on the dance you start/step on different "beats" of the music. Typically most styles start on the "1" therefore we count the previous phrase leading up to it "5,6,7,8" so you can be ready to step on the 1. Of course there are exceptions like in this video the cha cha breaks on the 2, not the 1. However there is a way to start on 1 in the cha cha with a prep step. You can find our "how to count music in dances" playlist below if you are interested in more specifics :)

    • @WaterNai
      @WaterNai Год назад +3

      Dancing is how you meet a lady who might later become interested in being your girlfriend. Lots of swing clubs and salsa clubs have dance class before the open dancing. It’s a good way to meet people as well and make friends with a nice crowd to go out dancing with.

    • @BallroomFeed

      Both the American Rumba and the Waltz start with the box step so I can understand the confusion! However the rumba progresses much differently than the waltz and has a completely different rhythm and character :)

    First time I see some explain Cha Cha Chá just as ¿Cha Cha? and use "Side, toguether, side" instead of "Cha, Cha, Chá". Why theach it like that? like the point of cha cha chá is the cha cha chá in the music.

    • @BallroomFeed
      @BallroomFeed  Год назад +3

      Most people who've never danced before, understand foot directions (side together side) before adding the rhythm & timing like (cha cha cha). It's a progression of learning the steps :)
