Great to hear a guitars talk about how important your HANDS are for you tone, almost no-one talks about how much your hands make a difference, not about all the gadgets! GREAT VIDEO
wow..lovely playing from JD at 39min10sec mark!!. Its all in the fingers. Not sure about his view on vintage vs new guitars. there are some awful vintage guitars and some great new ones - Best to focus on the music and the tone and the hands themselves - Im sure Blind Blake was playing a brand new parlour guitar in 1927 not a vintage one ;)
J.D. was gracious enough to let me hold “RED.” It was an experience that I will never forget. Thanks J.D.! Thanks Zac!
The Real Simo, wonderfull and true what he is saying and wonderfull and true how he is playing so faaantastic!!!
Amazing insightful interview, that 335 sounds amazing in Simo's hands
Thank you. Wait for Part 3, he uses a Tele and the Burst

Excellent. Performance was incredible.
He is pretty amazing
His playing on his 335 at the end of the video is mesmerizing.
I am a huge SIMO fan. His second album, in my opinion, is absolutely excellent. Great interview.
Thank you. He is a world-class player, and we were happy to interview him.
What’s the album called?
Dang, he didn't end up talking about the burst. Great interview!!!!
Part 3 covers the burst

Thanks for putting up these great video interviews.
One criticism: your intro goes on for over 45 seconds- far too long.
You are welcome. You will notice in our more recent interviews with Reggie Young and Brent Mason, that they are shorter. Zac
I just watched the Brent Mason episodes- thanks again, great stuff. You're an excellent host/interviewer.
Thank you so much! Zac
I heard his amp got stolen at a gig
Yes, a week or 2 after the interview while in Italy.
Aww man did they ever find out who stole it? I know this amp meant a lot to him , damn thieves.
The amp has not been recovered.
Truetone c'mon man, that's low to steal a man's amp...
We flew to Italy to do it, because the amp is that great. Kidding....
