SYMPTOMS OF A BAD KNOCK SENSOR IN A CAR

hello, i've made a swap engine from 318iS to m52b28 bmw motor, in e36. My car doesnt have knock sensor and when i accelerate in doesnt give any amount of strength and it sounds like it doesnt work properly. Probably its knock sensors right?
