In the Mega Drive version of Sonic 3D, as seen in this video, the final fight level takes on a virtual reality aesthetic, while in the Saturn version it takes on a more physical scene with lots of pipes in the background.
We think that's why we like the Genesis/Mega Drive version of this fight more then Saturn one. It feels your between dimensions in the Mega Drive version and the music gives this fight a other worldly vibe to the fight. Meanwhile the Saturn Version you feel like it's a standard Robotnik boss in one of his bases which makes this fight seem less special.
I’m curious as to what Robotnik’s intention was when he pilots the machine forward for a second. It’s almost as bad as the Lava Reef Zone boss from Sonic 3.
Maybe it’s because I just came off of playing quite a few of the gamegear games, but I actually enjoyed this one. It was surprisingly pretty fun to play through, more fun than I remembered it being. I don’t think I usually ever made it past Rusty Ruins when I was a kid, but I 100%ed it on my first try last night. Solid 6/10 game, great music and atmosphere
Haven’t played this in years. It was a tough game back when I was kid in the 90’s, but I always used to like listening to the soundtracks in the menu options.
A game that if I reuse music and sound effects is Sonic Pocket Adventure, in that game it was reused I think 23 songs and 7 or 8 sound effects v: Ah y... viva México :vv

The type of shit to traumatize me as a kid. Luckily, I only got as far as diamond dust zone.
the "Prepare to fight the final weapon" screen, alongside the sounds it made, scared me when i first went through it.
*_MACHINE RANDOMLY MOVES FORWARD FOR SONIC TO HIT_*
*MACHINE SLOWS DOWN SO SONIC CAN CATCH UP AND HIT IT*
Eggman is a genius even after all these years i see.
Nice strategy

You dare question his 300 IQ?
Maybe because he tried to ram machine into Sonic?
still similar
drunk behind the wheel
Hes like, "How is he supposed to beat me...?
Prepare to fight the final weapon. Me: "Metal Gear!?"
THAT'S METAL GEAR, IT'S ALREADY ACTIVE!
Robotnik: No you fool, a weapon to SURPASS Metal Gear!

We stop Sonic 3D Blast to show you Sonic Mania
25 years...
After more than 10 years, we are releasing Sonic Rush A New Land: Sonic 4 Episode 3, the last sonic game you'll see in 8 years
Did I get him? *comes down for a closer look then gets hit* Nope, let's try that again.
Had so much fun beating this game!!
Same here
I remember seeing this floor in the music video for Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean."
He's like the early version of Dj Octavio

I'm somehow having goosebumps when hearing the credits music XD
I can't play this game for to long, because it makes me dizzy
Me too
I’m gonna be completely honest, I accidentally triggered the level select code and went right to the final boss😅
Why does the final boss music sound like an atgames game
What are you playing this on the picture looks really good crt?
I don't even remember. I've recorded this video many years ago.
my favorite boss !!!! THanx sonicfan1984
Paul Demercado same here. And this game alwast put u where only have 1 ring. Times change and this game still hard 😂
Music in this game is awesome! If only they made the game as awesome as the music.
The games pretty good tho. I enjoyed it as I completed it today! The physics can get you killed sometimes but thats pretty rare in my case.
I never played this game before, it just doesn't look fun but I should give it a try eventually
sonic mania sounds.
Sonic 2 and 3 sound that were reused.
The final boss is easy but you will fight him for a long time
COOL IT ME
5/10 game. Glad its over
They're so lazy, they re-use every single Sonic 3 (& Knuckles) sound effects.
Err... no.
Ernest Jay How is that lazy? The sound effect are fine enough.

Ernest Jay Most of the classic Sonic games reuse the same sound effects. Your point?
Itd be real fuckim weird if sonic noises didnt sound like sonic noises. The sfx reuse is fine.
