Ok so I’m watching this video probably for the 27th time. Why? I don’t know, I’m just obsessed with the pattern, fabrics, Donna’s voice and techniques, just the entire pattern process. Obviously this quilt is on my bucket list.
I so appreciate the fact that from start to finish its all about the project at hand! No going on and on about stuff that has nothing to do with the project, you're not trying to sell me items I don't need! Easy directions, easy to follow. I feel a beginner could make any of your patterns, thank you and your staff for all the hard work.!
Hi from Australia, loved the quilt pattern and the choice of material. Donna you not only do great tutorials, but the camera work is very professional.
I like the Emilia quilt and all the other quilts you’ve made. I’ve rewatched several of the videos more than once because you’re my favorite for quilt tutorials, Happy quilting Donna 🎉
When Donna says, “I haven’t seen this method before…” my ears perk up! Thank you for all the wonderful videos, I’ve learned so much. Your easy going style gives me confidence to try new things.
I find it very encouraging that even you have to unstitch and resew some of your quilt pieces. Thank you for your videos and making it ok to make mistakes!
You make everything look so easy! I would have to put up a 'do not disturb' sign on my sewing room door and meals delivered to do this one, all those angles would be a challenge for me, lol. 🙃 Thanks for another great tutorial Donna, and thanks to your Son for the filming. editing and all that goes into the videos, much appreciated!
I think that among Donna’s many strengths is that she chooses different levels of difficulty to help us to continue to grow as quilters. Donna, thank you for choosing this pattern and for helping us see that we can expand our quilting abilities.
I used to thread a bunch of needles for my great grandmother who would sit and piece quilts by hand all day long. I wish I still had one of the beautiful quilts she made with the little girl in a bonnet. She only used scrap fabric in whatever color or pattern there was, so seeing beautiful quilts that have been done with purpose of the color design is amazing to me. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm thinking I may need to try my first quilt. :)
Beautiful pattern! And a little more complicated, but as usual, Donna makes it look so easy! I have a Kaffe layer cake that Matt cut that I have been saving for something special. I think this might be it!
Donna, You really "hit it out of the park" with the EMILIA Quilt. That is a Very Special Quilt. I love the fabric choices for that pattern, Thank-You for your tutorial.
Love the shadow triangles in the border. I bought the pattern several years ago but have not made the quilt yet. Reading the pattern, it just seemed beyond my abilities. Having seen you sew this, I do think it's less complicated than it seemed in my mind. Thank you so much for demonstrating this pattern. Now I just have to pick out the layer cake.
I appreciate tutorials on quilts that are not dead easy or just for a raw beginner. As long as you’re familiar with making HST units, this really is an easy quilt.
I'm so glad you showed how to make this quilt. I was given the pattern but it looked pretty tricky to make. After watching you with your good tips along the way gives me confidence to make it. Yours turned out so pretty. Thank-you for your great tutorials. I agree with the comment below -you just get right to the instructions and don't go off on story tangents. I do like when you mention your husband or son once in awhile for the jobs they do around the shop, but you pretty much stick to making the quilt and that's what we want to see and learn.
I have this quilt pattern and most of the fabrics except the gray. Thank you for showing the unusual piecing techniques as my ADHD brain would have stopped. I like the one you chose instead of a Bella solid I was contemplating. Thanks Donna
I do like the shadowing effect in the border, but the techniques for the sashing aren’t the way I’d do it. I find it easier to manage and to line up the seams if I sew the sashing on one side of all blocks that need it, then the adjacent side gets a sashing+cornerstone, then they’re assembled in rows. I learned this from The Gourmet Quilter (Susan Clare from NZ), and it really works well for me. Thanks for demonstrating a pattern with a few advanced techniques, Donna!❤
Boy! Donna, you certainly showed your knowledge and talents with this one! It had a lot of cutting and sewing on this one…a couple of different methods that I have not seen! It turned out beautiful! Thank you again for showing us how to make this quilt!
I’m so glad you made a video for this pattern! I bought the pattern and ordered all the material to make it 2 years ago but once I read the directions, I was too intimidated to start. I feel better having this tutorial. It’s beautiful!
I always love your tutorials❤. You're channel is a calm happy place to hang out. You always make even tricky patterns easy to follow. Thank you for sharing ❤
Oh…all those points!! I agree with an earlier comment-this is for a more advanced quilter. It’s a beautiful, somewhat complicated quilt that I’ll probably never make. But I love everything Donna taught us in the cutting and sewing of this very lovely quilt.
Wow what a fabulous pattern! It’s very cool how the blocks & borders are made - I must look for this pattern. Donna as always you are a pleasure to watch. 💫
Donna, you make this beautiful quilt seem so easy to piece together … but way beyond my skill level. Thank you for the video. Always a happy day when I get an email that you have posted a new video 😊
Thanks, Donna, for doing this tutorial! I'm quite sure I would have gotten confused with the pattern instructions. As always, you make it look so easy!
I was so happy to see a new video this morning! I love this. I have looked at this pattern before but I wasn't sure about it. Now that Donna has made it, I think I might be ready to attempt it myself, with the video. Thanks so much, Donna!!!!!
Love this quilt. Not sure if I am up for the challenge of making it. Maybe after the other hundreds that have caught my eye. I love watching your channel and all the lovely quilts.
I LOVE watching your videos, Donna. I always learn at least one tip that is useful even though I have been piecing quilts together for a long time. I too enjoy the shadowing effect in the borders and the bubbles quilting is a lovely finish.
I love how you walk us through new techniques. You take the scary out and show what is possible. The quilt came out real nice the giveaway one is one of my favourites
That quilt is absolutely beautiful. I have to say I thought my head was going to explode with all the various instructions. I'm still very much a beginner but you do such an amazing job with your explanations, cutting and sewing tips and tricks....maybe one day!!! Thanks again, I love your videos. ❤
I love watching your videos and recommend them to all my quilty friends. I have made Emilia and just love it. It’s the perfect pattern to showcase both the fun of the patchwork and the beauty of the fabrics. Thank you.
Really like how you explained the blocks, and saying this is a different way of doing the construction of the parts of the blocks. A lot of waste on several parts, but really like the shadow borders. You are an awesome teacher.
I was surprised that you chose the silver thread, because I thought you wanted to enjoy the quilting design in the borders...then surprise 🎉 The silver thread was perfect for the quilting design and it didn't fight with the piece work. such a beautiful quilt. Thanks for the tutorial!👍
Stunning quilt which I didn't expect. I'm watching on my small phone (personal choice as I have small hands). So the first image of this quilt was very small. So happy that I watched the entire video. I have quite a lineup of upcoming quilts with this one very tempting as it's so gorgeous. Much thanks from Maine for this wonderful content.
Wow….love it! Way too involved for me, but you did an amazing job! Loved the quilting pattern you used! Thanks so much for sharing your time and talents
I simply love this quilt. Your fabric line choice was perfect for this quilt. You make every quilt easy to make with your clear and concise instructions. Thank you for another fantastic tutorial. Happy Quilting and good luck to everyone in the quilt giveaway. I’d love to win this one.
Did you guys see that fabric that looks like knitting!!! Oh my, I am in LOVE! Can you buy that by the yard, or are these special fabrics that are only in those sets?
This has got to be the most complicated pattern you've done yet in terms of both the cutting and the sewing. It turned out gorgeous however, so worth the painstaking effort
Love your tutorials. I sewed two of your Tutorials already. The race quilt and the stained glass quilt. Out of the latter, I made curtains for my sewing room. Thank you so much. Would love to win the ‘give away’.
I stop everything I’m doing when you post a new video!!! I love every minute of it!!! This turned out great and will add the pattern to my list of I want to make it!!!!❤
I am a HUGE Robin Pickens fan and have a number of her patterns (yet to be made). This was on my list but I have to admit that even with Donna's generous sharing of methods it still intimidates me a little. Might purchase the pattern and add it to my "stable" of patterns to be made when I have more experience. LOVED this video. THANK YOU DONNA!!
Wow! Very beautiful quilt. I'm not sure I would make it, it seemed a bit, ummm, daunting maybe. Different techniques that really probably aren't hard, just different. ❤❤❤❤beautiful
I've made this years ago. It had no sashing and was called "Corn and Beans", like a farm field. It was one of the first quilts I made when I returned to sewing. I used a bunch of scraps, just in case I screwed up. I somehow got a good smattering of colors. ❤😊 Beautiful as always.

Exactly. So many sites I skip and do not subscribe due to not getting to the point. Also disorganized people
I luv playing “which color thread will Donna pick?” Beautiful quilt!
Me too!
Me too & this is the only time I got it right.
Me too I get it right a lot of times but I missed it on this one .
I do the same. I’m about 50 50 with being correct.
Me too, I get it right about 3/4 times a
Hi from Australia, loved the quilt pattern and the choice of material. Donna you not only do great tutorials, but the camera work is very professional.
Beautiful quilt but for the more experienced sewer. Shows of Donna’s talent

4/23/2024 at 5:30. I love this quilt. But then I love all of your quilts. I was so happy I pick the light gray thread.
I used to thread a bunch of needles for my great grandmother who would sit and piece quilts by hand all day long. You Donna, are the best teacher of sewing. You always make the patterns look so easy. Thank you for all your tutorials and emails.

I really like the shadow blocks in the border
Beautiful quilt. Lots of pieces but the way Donna organises all the parts it flows together easily - thanks for the Tutorial 🌻
I'm so glad to see you do a quilt with a few extra steps! Those are my favorites and I think the effort is totally worth it! Thank you!
LOVE Robin’s quilts. You did beautifully Donna. Added yet another to-do to my long list of quilts!!

I love how you take what appears to be a difficult pattern and make it uncomplicated! Happy quilting!
Oh my!! So stunning. You make it look so simple, but this was a lot of work!
I would have never picked that pattern to make. Donna you did that pattern justice! Gorgeous quilt, and awesome tutorial!
The bubble play quilting was a great choice, Donna!
Beautiful quilt! Your tutorials are fantastic and make me think, “I could do that!”

Most favorite quilt you have done in all the years, EVER!!!! Thanks for doing this.💙❤️🩷🧡🩶🤍
Thanks for sharing how to iron the different seams (including the big patched triangle) so they don't get stretched out of shape!!
That is a very interesting pattern. You do such great work!!

Perfect choice in my opinion as this is a pattern where the piecing is the star so quilting is the support act.
Love this quilt. More sophisticated than some of the patterns you show, though all are beautiful and so well presented.❤
Soooo many triangles! Thanks for the tips.
The quilt pattern is so unique and the colors are beautiful. I love the shadows on the border. Great job as usual
I like the triangle that is made up of smaller triangles. That is very clever and really interesting.
Stunning quilt which I didn't expect. I'm watching on my small phone (personal choice as I have small hands). So the first image of this quilt was very small. So happy that I watched the entire video.

A beautiful quilt completed, as usual.
Love those shadow triangle edges.
This is a really different way to make a quilt top and I love it. The colours looks wonderful and the shadow blocks really finish it off.
WOW! What a lovely quilt! It's fun to learn a different way of doing things, isn't it? Thank you for showing us how to do it!
Another wonderfully beautiful quilt made by Donna. I love watching these . I need to get off my bum and Finnish the quilt I started.
Did you guys see that fabric that looks like knitting!!! Oh my, I am in LOVE! Can you buy that by the yard, or are these special fabrics that are only in those sets?
Ooh, a little tricky with all of the bias edges but this quilt is a stunner. 😍 Thank you, Donna!
I always think I will do that quilt next and then you come out with another one that I want to do. You are awesome.
This has got to be the most complicated pattern you've done yet in terms of both the cutting and the sewing. It turned out gorgeous however, so worth the painstaking effort
Great color choice. Didn’t realize it would be so nice!

I’m with you on the intimidated part Linnie. I’m thinking I’ll use my scraps to try the methods especially the first block. You can do it 🌸🧵
You make a more difficult quilt pattern manageable. Thank you for your tips (especially on pressing!).
Wow! Very beautiful quilt. I'm not sure I would make it, it seemed a bit, ummm, daunting maybe. Different techniques that really probably aren't hard, just different. ❤❤❤❤beautiful
love you showing 2 different ways to make 1/2 square triangles. beautiful quilt.
I do love Robin Pickens fabrics and patterns, I’ve done a few. Her color stories with the blocks for Moda Blockheads is always gorgeous.
Wowza!
You make them all look so easy!! Thank you for the videos! Love the colors in this one!
Amazed at how I like the black triangle squares against the colors, which I love !
There needs to be a “love” button ❤thank you!
The silver white thread is prefect! And so is the bubble pattern!❤
From my Mom: Absolutely beautiful pattern and colors. You are a skilled quilter.
Great pattern. Thank you for sharing Donna. So glad you are quilting again now
I always wondered how people put those smaller triangles in the larger ones, thanks for teaching us that skill, beautiful quilt.
I love this quilt pattern. I want to thank you for all your wonderful quilt tutorial videos and to say how much I learn from you. 😊
Stunning. A little advanced for me - now - but I'm working on my triangles 😊 Someday!
Magnifique, comme toujours. Bonjour de Vichy France
Wow, this one has a lot of different components to it. Very interesting. Thank you for sharing.👍❤️🙂
