Ok so I’m watching this video probably for the 27th time. Why? I don’t know, I’m just obsessed with the pattern, fabrics, Donna’s voice and techniques, just the entire pattern process. Obviously this quilt is on my bucket list.

I so appreciate the fact that from start to finish its all about the project at hand! No going on and on about stuff that has nothing to do with the project, you're not trying to sell me items I don't need! Easy directions, easy to follow. I feel a beginner could make any of your patterns, thank you and your staff for all the hard work.!

You make everything look so easy! I would have to put up a 'do not disturb' sign on my sewing room door and meals delivered to do this one, all those angles would be a challenge for me, lol. 🙃

I used to thread a bunch of needles for my great grandmother who would sit and piece quilts by hand all day long. I wish I still had one of the beautiful quilts she made with the little girl in a bonnet. She only used scrap fabric in whatever color or pattern there was, so seeing beautiful quilts that have been done with purpose of the color design is amazing to me. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm thinking I may need to try my first quilt. :)

Love the shadow triangles in the border. I bought the pattern several years ago but have not made the quilt yet. Reading the pattern, it just seemed beyond my abilities. Having seen you sew this, I do think it's less complicated than it seemed in my mind. Thank you so much for demonstrating this pattern. Now I just have to pick out the layer cake.

I'm so glad you showed how to make this quilt. I was given the pattern but it looked pretty tricky to make. After watching you with your good tips along the way gives me confidence to make it. Yours turned out so pretty. Thank-you for your great tutorials. I agree with the comment below -you just get right to the instructions and don't go off on story tangents. I do like when you mention your husband or son once in awhile for the jobs they do around the shop, but you pretty much stick to making the quilt and that's what we want to see and learn.

I do like the shadowing effect in the border, but the techniques for the sashing aren’t the way I’d do it. I find it easier to manage and to line up the seams if I sew the sashing on one side of all blocks that need it, then the adjacent side gets a sashing+cornerstone, then they’re assembled in rows. I learned this from The Gourmet Quilter (Susan Clare from NZ), and it really works well for me. Thanks for demonstrating a pattern with a few advanced techniques, Donna!❤
