There's a bracket under the the throttle body. Remove the bolts that connect it to the plenum. If you look on the body just below the bracket, you'll see an out of place extrusion. This is a wedge point. Loosen the three bolts on the top of the plenum, the two mentioned above, and the one above the oil filter. Stick a wedge between the bracket and the wedge point. The starter will now wiggle out. Gotta undo and redo the connections at this point. If you try to do the connections where it's easy, it won't go back in. No need to fully remove the plenum.
@@TheDingdong78Thanks. Were there any bolts under the car for this job? I have bolts under my 2011 Outlander Sport. Its very similar to this unfortunately.
Wow,i tried to fix my starter motor till i saw this..thats a huge job for a tiny lil part..i saw a video where they removed the whole motor and the starter motor is stuck to the engine block..and the solenoid is at the top and starter is at the bottom..so to remove starter you have to pull it out and downwards..so i was thinking maybe tried removing it from the bottom then
I agree. Changing this car motor starter is in pain. ❤your video mate.

yeah that the mess
Honestly most things on this car is easy to fix. But that starter location is very stupid
Very very crazy ha ha ha
A painful job indeed! Wouldn't have bought this car if I knew about this! I cannot get the intake to budge!
Mitsubishi is much much more easy to do maintenance than Nissan.
How much can we charge to the customer for this service 🤔
I got similar car but the 4a92 engine access to starter motor is much more easier
There is a easier way ..I did it.
I'm listening 😮
There's a easier way to do this and it's so simple,, 1 stick of dynamite,,, a match,, and a bag of marshmallows of course 😁👍
