Helpful video. What I want to ask is has anyone ever had just bad wiring or solenoid connection (corroded spade terminal to the solenoid)? I've had my BA ute since 2008 and seldom drive it as it's just mainly for getting parts for project cars, ie may drive it 2 years and park it for 2yrs - only 140k kms on it. I've been through many flat batteries and it always had at least thrown out the solenoid when cranking. Current problem started 2 years ago - turn key and no solenoid operation. I've been through the neutral switch testing, bypassing etc. Got a new starter fitted by someone else 2 years ago and ran fine for 2 years and problem returned - no attempt to crank, no solenoid operation. Since so many comments here have said they have had done multiple starters I was wondering if I just need another starter or if corroded spade terminal to the solenoid or bad wiring was also common? My car will crank once per day but most times it does nothing (is is not the neutral switch or relay) and in all 16 years of ownership previously I never had to replace the starter before.

Just fixet same model today from friend 2 wire was brocked change all 4 and just like new now great video this failure look like a standard failure that comes over time.

The catch can wont collect the extra oil from the turbo as its plumbed before the turbo, but will pick oil from the breather system.

Hi Simon I have an 07 bmw with plastic key....I was told by locksmith only bmw can supply new key. I purchased for $90 on ebay a blank unprogrammed key. Also on ebay I purchased an AUTEL MaxIIM KM100E key programmer for $700. I successfully programmed the bmw key myself. The bmw dealer quoted me $700 to replace the key and 6 weeks wait for key to come from Germany. Please note the Autel key programmer can not do all keys lost, you need a working factory key to program a spare key. It will however start a car (keyless) up to latest models without a key but loses the immo information when turned off. Hoping this info may help you in your business.

Hi Simon Just save some work if you can just open the plastic cap and take off the barrel easily without open the whole door panel. And you just need a key code from the barrel to do the key cut, and sometimes you can find it written down on manual book or metal key tag on key rings

The oil drain is on back of sump, you can see this on the tfsi spare sump images online. You need to support the brake calipers too as you risk damaging the brake hoses with the weigh hanging. You need to torque the wheel nuts with a torque wrench. I thought was diy job, surprised to see mechanic tee shirt :/

Swap those heated bolts with new 1s, they snap due to being heat hardened. You'll know about it when the active stability control tries to correct the wheels when one has locked up and bent under the chassis at 100kph, the whole territory will be forced sideways and roll. I have a territory ts with a 700hp vortech supercharger and have had multiple bolts in the rear snap, they were all the ones I heated to remove, since then I have replaced all my bolts with new bolts. I've done 170,000kms on mine. My front lower bolt that you heated snapped on me at 50kph and I went into the drain. The worst one I had in the rear was the suspension bolt snapping and the alignment bolt (I heated everything how you did also). The territory uses the same bolts used on the lighter falcon... should be 12.9 grade minimum...

I would highly recommend that anyone, especially without a hydrolic press, just replace the control arm. It comes with new bushings and you can get a decent one for 20 or so bucks more than quality bushings. It's a TON easier than having to do all of this. I had to use a jack to lift my passenger side wheel hub back into the strutt as well 😂. It was the only way I could get it up high enough to replace those bolts.
