    For all of those wondering, you can also do this with a flat template and then run the dried hot glue under warm/hot water and form it to your face!

    Thanks for this mask. I love fire, and searched google for a fire mask, and found yours. After studying your video, I decided to go to a craft shop. I already had one of those mask templates you can get, and I liked the shape of it, and I saw that the heads cost £10, so I decided to instead modify your idea with my equipment.
    I glue gunned two layers of fire, spray painted it black, acrylic painted it, glitter glued yellow glitter onto the yellow, orange to the orange and red all over. I attached feathers and everyone else liked mine.

    I'd use a ashy grey or just a white base so the colors really pop while the black will still be on the edges or just the tips but won't dim the colors. Some Feathers would be great too

    Hi. Your masks are lovely! I would like to know what material would you advice the base mask to be (since I don't have a face cast)? I had a quick look at your blog and didn't find that information if it's in there. I guess the glue will stick too hard to plastic and paper, so... What? Fabric? Or maybe it's the kind of glue sticks you use? Thank you.

    Is there any way you can do this without using the face cast? Some other tutorials use a template with plastic wrap over it, so I'm wondering if it's at all possible to do that same with this mask design.

    SUPER COOL AND CREATIVE! I'm going to try this, but i really think it would be way cooler if you used acrylic paints and stuff to make the colors pop more and plus you'd save your nail polish. ;D

  • @thunderdragonish
    @thunderdragonish 11 лет назад

    I'm sure you could use any paint instead, but nail polish has a glossier, shinier finish than most paints, and with a fire mask in particular you'd want it to catch a lot of light.

    Looks great! I was just wondering how you were picking up the rhinestones. It looks like you're using a q-tip...did you put something on it to stick to the rhinestones? What did you use that was sticky enough to pick them up but not so sticky that they won't come off? Thanks! Also, I've subscribed so please keep making videos!

    So I'm totally going to do these masks, seems like an awesome project, and pretty simple. I'm wondering though if there is any specific reason for using nail varnish over other kinds of paint like acrylic. I also paint miniatures as a hobby and I think that those paints would give better color and more coverage than nail varnish, as well as give the drybrushing more depth and color. Excellent video though, thank you.
