You would probably be surprised by those little rocks from your childhood. I've watched videos of people polishing rocks that look more like lumps of dirt and after polishing they are fabulous.
Yes, I loved my rock collection with veins of quartz crystal and mica flakes layered on my rocks. Love the rare pink rocks from up North NH. Great memories. ❤
ℹ used to think bigger is better then I met Ethiopian Opal cabs with so much fire 🔥 no matter the 💡 ing, inside or out! Don’t get me wrong I love big but there are times smaller is more elegant ( not less expensive either)! Just my experience❤️
I absolutely relate. I had a rock collection as a child. I especially loved my quartz specimens, which were plentiful in the area I grew up. I also loved my fossilised Kauri tree gum specimens, which are forms of copal / amber ❤ By the way, what a stunning collection of beauties you have 😍😍😍
Thank you!! I knew there had to be some other rock collectors out there. 😊 It sounds like you found way more interesting rocks than I did as a kid Lisa!! I did find Petoskey stones which are rocks with fossilized coral in them- which are only found here in MI.
Yes!! It went beyond just rocks- small snail shells, sea shells, tiny flowers, really anything tiny and cute 😊 I don’t think I’ve told you I actually lived in MI a few years of my childhood, my dad would take me and my sister to Lake Huron and would find the coolest rocks and fossils! I would love to visit again and explore- thanks for reminding me of some great memories :)
I did not know you lived in MI!! We were collecting the same rocks from Lake Huron lol. I also collected fossils and shells! So funny and I think I still have that box somewhere... ♥️♥️♥️
@@LittleBlueJewelryBox Aw what a coincidence! 😊☺️ My dad has the jar of rocks and won’t part with them, I think I was able to get one 😆 Fascinating how our childhood shapes us!
I collected rocks as a kid too. They amaze me! I loved beautiful jewelry as a little girl, but could never afford anything. Now, I am fulfilling that little girl’s dream. My obsession now is gold jewelry, gemstone jewelry set in gold, and vintage/antique jewelry! My coolest find so far is the same two-strand emerald cut rhinestone bracelet that Marilyn Monroe wore in Gentle Prefer Blondes!
Yes! I hauled rocks from islands that we picnicked on from our boat as a kid & then hubby -we boat too! I’m not much of a sailor though just there to be to an island beach in SE Alaska!😂
Well just once. When my parents took me to a beautiful transparent pond with different small colorful Stones. But now as a grown Up I do have a Big one!! 😁 I just LOVE rocks, gemstones and whatever brights! Beautiful broochs and bracelets you have!! LOVE them !! The three Brown Stones brooch is my favourite! Gorgeous! 💖💖💖
I have rocks from ancient pyramids and ancient RUNE/ruines all over the world and I have them in containers and I can look at one and tell you where it’s from even though most people they wouldn’t even think it looks like anything. I have ancient Roman. I have some from a pyramid and Mexico. I have some from Scotland and of course I love wearing actual semi precious stones all the time and agates.
Wearable rock, nice! Reminds me of the little circular prehistoric flint scraper i once found. Used is as a pendant for years until sadly one day the string broke and i lost it. Still a bit sad about it, wonder who found it next. Lol, but i guess that's not what you meant by wearable rock.
Same here. It has been my hobby since childhood.
Beautiful collection. ❤
Thank you! ❤️❤️
Same with me with rocks. Then geode/crystals & now collecting antique, vintage, modern & fine jewelry...
Totally can relate! 😊

I don’t remember collecting rocks as a kid. I love collecting “rocks” now the bigger the better 💎💎💎💎
The adult rock collections are definitely better!! 😉❤️❤️❤️

Have always had a rock collection both then and now.
Carnelian, picture Jasper, Moss agate, citrine, amethyst… and now I’ve moved onto big old vintage broaches.
I collected rocks as a kid, still collect rocks, and jewelry too!
Great video. My channel loves this

@@LittleBlueJewelryBox Petoskey stones are wonderful! I have one in a pendant, I didn’t know that they come from Michigan 😃

I did. And loved it. I also had a rock tumbler.
Oh yes I had a tumbler too! I remember my mom made me move it into the garage because it was so loud. 😂❤️❤️
@@LittleBlueJewelryBoxright they were very loud but great fun👍💕

Yup, had a rock collection as a kid.
Still have and it's growing. Just found a raw agate in a yard sale yesterday.
Not wearing much jewelry though.
I do love an agate!! Sometimes they are just nice to admire even if not worn as jewelry. ❤️❤️

I have a rose rock collection from when I was a kid.
Love it. 😊

I had one too! What a cool realization!

I can relate. I love geology, and guess what I collect? Lol
lol I have a feeling a good number of jewelry collectors had rock collections as kids...
Yes. Me too! It would drive my mom nuts because just about everywhere we went I had to find a rock! lol
Yes I did and I still have it!
Yes and I still do!
Gorgeous collection
Thank you! ❤️
Funny thing but the first gemstones I loved as a kid are still what I’m still drawn to decades later. Chatoyant and sparkly, and yes much much nicer.
I think a lot of the things we love as kids never leave us! ♥️♥️
Me thinks, I might collect too many rocks 😬😂♥️
Never too many! lol 😆❤️❤️❤️
@@LittleBlueJewelryBox 😬 tell that to my overflowing Jewelry collection 😂♥️
lol I know your collection has to be amazing!! Overflowing with treasures.
No I didn't but I sure do now!!!
You mean #WearableRocks😂
lol yes!! Wearable rocks- I love that. ❤️❤️❤️
