Thank you for making the sleeper as close to flat as possible. As a taller person (6'), I prefer to sleep in my GX with my head towards the back, so my feet can extend past the edge of the 2nd row. If I slept the other way, I cant sleep with my head hanging off, so I have to scoot down which cramps my legs against the back door. Since the OEM inclines towards the front, I have to sleep diagonally to fit.
thanks for the kind words, flat is the goal! We want the system to be as generally useful as possible, so you can choose which orientation works best for you.
@@airdowngearupthe only other thing I'd like to see is something that locks the hinges or the platforms together so it stays flat, instead of using a blanket or 2x4 underneath it. Is this something in the works? Maybe something similar to the 5th Gen
@@Ill06Taco We wouldn't go to quite the extreme that is the 4runner sleeper, but we have an idea in mind that would change the orientation of the hinges, which would make the sleeper sit perfectly flat without any supports under
I have removed my 2nd row seat. how is the sleeper going to lay itself down now? Can you folks design something that accomodates rigs with no 2nd row seat. Also, if i do put back the 2nd row seat, I would have more storage room under if i fold the seat fully up. With the 2nd row fully folded upright i can have more storage room under there. But it needs a support for the full bed foldout.
We have our 'seat delete' kit for exactly this! A lot of people have removed the 2nd row, so we have designed a frame system that supports the sleeper while providing a TON of useable storage space. This seat delete frame bolts onto our existing drawer structure with 3 simple screws, so if you wanted to go back and forth it's very easy to do. 42inches wide by 67inches long. The system supports a 72+inch long standard mattress with no issue
