If you want complexity, PG Zeta. That was six months of nightmare fuel making sure everything lined up and the wiring didn't impede any of the movement. Plus, it's a transforming PG.
nah, man. I would recommend you to build the MG first. This PG is hard, but not Zeta hard. I would recommend you the PG Exia because it is a good start point, and get it with the light system. It will make the kit 10 times better.
Jabman I recently built this kit under your recommendation. The gun handles have a lock at the front the handle will slide into to keep them locked in no dropping.
Hi like to watch ur reviews & finally after 2 yrs sitting in my store room & watching ur videos, i have found the courage to start on my pg banshee norm. Only things that gives me nightmares is the wiring. Wish me luck!!!
@@BarelyDecentProduction for me I was on the budget at the time, it also depends what you're going for, mg you have the option for the full burst package with the dragoon stand, the pg it's a little more expensive but you're paying for the incredible amount of detail if it weren't for the budget I'd get the pg. However the mg for me was the best for its buck.
For me ill go for rg version it got the pg wings and it cost less than the mg. I have the mg full burst mode of strike freedom and i would recommend rg version UPDATE I got the rg one and the build process is great more pg gimmicks than the full burst mode version
some of my slide mechanisms for the wings worked really well, and some didn't. some of the dragoons wanted to fall off easy, some didn't mine also only came with 6 springs instead of 8.
looks amazing, hope the crappy gold plastic is better then on the MG though. on my MG stike freedom it was really brittle, ended up snapping where the arm attaches to the chest and inside one of the left arm as well :(
Let's be real here, after SEED Freedom redid the Strike Freedom with a hamfisted redesign with a little more bulk on some areas and an intentionally detachable backpack that can be a support unit, do you think Bandai will take extra steps to update this Strike Freedom with anything missing, like, say, DRAGOON effects, Wings of the Sky, and maybe even conversion to the Mighty Strike Freedom? Just saying this now that embargo on some mechanics have been lifted since Monday.
I heard its nice. But I don't care for the exia. Or the 00. Only Gundam I really like from 00 is the Dynames. Exia is just kinda... weird... Also melee suits just make no sense. Why would a future robot fight with a sword? A gun always beats a sword. It's not like the exias swords are more powerful than Dynames or Kyrios' guns.
@@ForgedHorizons You got to remember though, the reason he had the physical sword was in case any of the gundam pilots went rogue, he could deal with the GN particle shields. I get what you're saying though I'm not entirely sure I agree. Sure melee weapons aren't practical but it's anime so how often are things practical in an anime? Also the upside to having a physical sword or a sword in general is that you wouldn't need to worry about power or ammo usage with that type of weapon and in a universe with giant mechs with thrusters that can move as fast as fighter jets in some cases, a sword wielding opponent would be far more dangerous than you'd think. The downside of close range could be less of a disadvantage especially with a skilled pilot. IBO is a good example of this with the Barbatos.
@@joeydahl9594 sure ammo is a thing and such. And I get that it's anime. It's just that Gundam tends to be a bit better with the anime-ism's like big swords etc. And yeah something moving so fast is pretty scary. But it would really only be effective on earth. In space melee weapons would be pretty much worthless without having a beam or anything the like attached onto it. It doesn't matter how hard you swing a sword in a vacuum. It's going to hit hard armor and the suit would bounce back. No more effective than a blunt object. Add on top of that the vastness of space and melee fighting is worthless. You get a high mobility mobile suit with a beam rifle out in space like say the V2 or G-Self and the exia is worthless. The pilot can just dodge all of the sword attacks and hit them from a distance. And if it does devolve into a melee fight standard beam sabers would be just about as effective.
@@ForgedHorizons Again though it is an anime and "realism" is only carried so far. If it was 100 percent accurate to what a real fight with mechs in space, yes a sword would be ineffective but the battles would also be completely silent since noise wouldn't travel. Anime as a whole is usually pretty over the top, even the realistic ones. Also for the Exia, in the anime he primarily used the beam gun mode in space first and only switched to the sword when he was in close range.
Hi Jabman, some pictures of the Pg strike freedom I see shows a gap on the shoulder armour that exposes the gold inner frame is that something you can do like a sliding gimmick or need to customise the kit to do?
jabman025 thanks for the reply. One more questions. Where can I get a action base for the 1/60 Gundams or are they all the size one size fits all? Does it happen to come with a stand?
my god this looks so amazing. send it to me please!! JK been binge watching reviews on your page. Hoping to see more content and hope everything is fine on your end because you know corona's a pain in the A. god bless you man
I'm trying to make a custom Mk. II and I have pretty all the weaponry sussed, but I want a Shield, preferably with Funnels! It's a Twin-Drive using the GN Sword III, the Freedom's hip-mounted rail guns, the Strike's head (for the gatlings) all on the Mk. II body for the moveable frame, but I really need a shield and I kind of want to work in funnels! What would you recommend in terms of trying to create this monster in RG and MG?
Ok, seeing as I'm a toy collector of a bunch of varieties, I know of Gold Plastic Syndrome and this kit, as cool as it is...has me horrified. Does anyone know of any kits with gold plastic that have suffered from this?
I dont if this help 8 months later but I've heard people have used molds with some kind of clay to reinforce the connection pieces but it's better just to watch those videos
Question: a year later, are you still finding the wings holding up? Any issues with the joint? Finally building mine after a long time of it sitting in my backlog and want to know if I should go ahead and reinforce the wing joint by filling in the peg cavity with modeling putty.
How about putting your lights in front and not the top sir? So that the kits will not look dark because of the shadows. Just suggesting sir. Really like your reviews. Keep it up. Will be waiting for mg dynames
Basically every time my friends talk about the worst Gundam shows and movies "Destiny doesn't have shit on double Zeta" - proceed with explanation on why and constant jokes about ZZ

So glad I found this review. Definitely gonna be my first PG. I just love the design so much

@@kamillebidan364 oh damn although i am beginner and I really wanna build this kit in pg or pg red frame the astray i mean....
I built the unicorn as my first pg; I’d built around 10 kits before but was definitely not prepared for a perfect grade

Going to paint all the gold on my PG Strike Freedom with chromee and clear yellow.

Btw my PG wing Zero was a disaster & PG red frame was just ok ok . So this is my 3rd try on PG.
To people who have the mg version, does it used the same design as this pg? You know... only smaller
15:48 master grade?
Nope
It's way different, part wise it has more pieces for the limbs especially the hands. I've had my mg strike freedom for 3 years.
@@delanthach153 so which one was the better version? Pg mg or rg?

Double beam rifle - Giant sniper - Gun of Doom 😂

Does the perfect grades usually require screws like the Kämpfer and the Gouf custom ?
No screws required
Older perfect grades do like the zaku II or RX 78-2

The biggest question: Is the Master Grade better?
Jab is back!!! So excited I commented before even watching :D
why would you have 3 lights in the background and no lights infront? why????
Thankfully there are now water slide decals for this kit which I’m glad because I plan on buying it soon
My dream build Perfect Grade! 😍
how are the wings after all these years?

No you can slide the shoulder armor up if you want I personally don't like the look but to each his own
Kinda sad there isn't a wings of sky effect part for this :(
Good review Jabman! Here's to the next four Perfect Grade reviews.
Would you recommend to paint any of those gold runners before-hand or just leave the bad ones like they are because you won't see them?
you don't need to, you rarely if ever see them when the armor is on
What is the dimension of your display case?
Your voice sounds like the early years of Emgo. Nice video man
Maybe start a collection for a new camera that can focus? :) Love your work tho :)
I keep reading that this model has a LED. What exactly is the Led for? The stand?

well the pose you see at 14:46 has stayed that way untouched since I put it up there, and the wings have not dropped even a little, so far so good

they just slide in, problem being that the spring does not want to stay in place
