for new players, its important to note that the HEALER'S *"DAMAGE"* is actually the amount they heal, thats why their skills can sometimes say 10%+ atk, that buffs their 'attack damage' aka their heals.
The minimum levels listed at the start of this were definitely cutting it a bit close, I had a few enemies slip through here or there giving me that frustrating 399. The strategy itself is solid though, and bumping the levels up a bit seems to have fixed any gaps I might've left for now. Thanks for the guide
The level of your Plume/ Vigna or your main sniper is too low. I used Vigna and she + main sniper killed the boss right there, didn't need to use back up Melantha.
The boss also stops once more near the end of her trip, so if you're done with the toplane, you could also call some operator back to make room for more dps near the goal to catch the boss
So satisfying. I started this game 9 days ago and last week at day 1 or 2 the tutorial brought me here and i was clueeeeless trying to do this with low level team, still i got to 320 kills. I did not even noticed there was a hole that you could push enemies into. Now a week later with stronger team i figure i could do it but when i saw the energy cost i didn't want to keep figuring it out so i followed your guide and it was a pieeeeece of cake. Instead of dropping an archer i dropped Ling pet and the mages never shot back and instead of SilverAsh i dropped Jaye and he killed the axe dude so fast i was actually impressed. Then i redeployed him to kill that boss and also another fast kill, Liskarm on the top lane never dropped health with his first skill and Shinning 2nd skill and Nearl last push got half health and i activated her healing and that was it. It was so, so easy. Thanks for the guide.
Thank you for this guide it was most helpful, despite having to adapt the suggested strategy a bit to fit my lineup better, this helped me get my first 400 chernobog clear
@Just3c Your guide was so effective, I did a buncha tix rolls and a 10 roll on Skadi as my celebration splurge. I got not only Skadi herself, but Nearl and Mayer came to base as well!
Thanks a lot for this guide! I followed it when I didn't really have much in terms of strong operators and got to 395. But now with my new OPerators I did 400/400!
followed this vid religously, only difference is i have adanachiel (pretty shit) instead of shirayuki, and my cuora has the first skill (forgot to change). i still got 397 (cuora skill really huge difference, maybe lacked AoE too)
you can replace her with any elite 1 caster like lava, and level her up to 35 at least to withstand the attack until she is retreat, i use Skyfire instead of Shirayuki and replace Gitano with Lava
finally got through 400 kills with my own setup, lots of switching and retreating. Watching this video as probably many others....didnt realize there was a hole on top xD
Thank you! It's pretty effective! I changed abit of setup using an aoe healer on the top facing the sniper so it won't die and the enemies doesn't hit shaw anyways. Well done ❤️
Note: replacing Melantha with SA will mess up your run. Placed at the same area at the 385 phase, he’ll attack the boss with his bird and once Axeman reaches him he’ll switch targets allowing the boss to pass through. At that point, you may or may not kill the boss with Kroos just before it enters the right gate.
Man after watching this vid , i just realized how shitty i am in TD games like this , good thing i watched this vid coz i was really frustrated on how to deal with this map. I have all the ops in the vid , only lvling and promoting is left. That was on solid strategic defense right there , 11/10. 👏👏 Thanks for the vid!
Pretty good from what I saw, at least in the Global/English version considering that I had two Single-Target medics, and swapped my top-lane defender with Cuora with Hoshiguma taking her place since I had her. Pretty good until 308 kills though due to the heavy defender enemy that comes out. That might just be me though with all my operators being at least level 30 with no elites at all, only Meteor and Shaw being in the early fourties and no elites either. Pretty good guide though considering I got from 112 kills to 312 kills with this guide.
Before anyone starts though, I will be upgrading the Defender's first due to the test run as well, making sure Cuora, despite how much I don't really like using her instead of Cardigan (Self-healing) or Nearl (Ally healing), is the first Elite for that team/group.
imagine my face when I got 399 and not because of the boss, but just for a stupid soldier... yeah, cuora is useful. also, I forgot to do the annihilation the first week, didn't expect the week to restart on monday.
I thought you put Shaw here to delay the enemy, but what I didn't realize this whole time, is that *THERE'S F**#CKI***NG HOLES AT THE TOP ALL THIS TIME*
I didnt notice that hole tile too xD Ive been wondering how the hell that Defender can survive those with that level and with just that Healer's heals.
Had the wrong skill on for Cuora and i placed Melantha on top of the boss causing it to teleport and ignore her (placed in same spot just too early). Was super sketchy but it worked out!
For players with Manticore (E0 level 50 is enough for comfortable clear) - you can replace the AoE sniper and Melantha with Manticore. Place her where Plume started, facing west, when you retire Plume. She will sit in that position for the rest of the game, providing AoE for the big waves while killing half of the logger that heads for top left exit together with the casters. This is helpful, as there is a big wave to fight during the logger incident. You should also replace Myrrh with an AoE medic facing down. This way she will cover for both tanks as well as Manticore (I'm not sure whether Manticore needs covering. Her E1 will help if you don't have the AoE healer). This provides way stronger healing for the tank. When to retire Plume also becomes more relaxed, as she can sustain her position longer with the AoE healer's help. If you build the setup this way, you'll have only one thing to worry after placing Manticore: Retiring Vanguard when you need his slot for Kroos (before casters and logger arrive. Timing is not precise - he can stay there until you need his slot for Kroos) -> Placing Kroos to kill the casters and logger, then retring her afterwards. -> Placing Plume to kill the boss; Only one operator is getting swapped around as needed, while the rest of the setup sits stationary. Overall, this makes the hard wave at 350 kills a lot easier to handle, since you have Manticore there doing AoE damage to all those enemies piling up on the tank while simultaneously chipping away at the logger, enabling Kroos to finish the job in time. I think I did this initially with E0 50 Manticore with 0% trust.
I tried this stage 10 times lol 😂 3 big axeman in the end just to strong, and i lost the boss at the main lane and the boss go to uplane, but when i deploy vanguard once again at the back uplane defender, the boss teleporting to defender and pushed by shaw hahah thats close... But finally i can do it... Thx bro 😊
My top row tank dies at around 340 kills or around 6:00. I'm using lv.50 Hoshiguma for the top row and lv.45 Perfumer to heal her. Do I have to use a single target healer or what am I doing wrong?
Oh, that's a neat trick at end with the preemptive deployment of Plume to where the boss will be. This way, the boss won't fight back. I reckon if you deploy Plume when the boss is already out, the boss will fight back & kill Plume.
As long as the boss (or enemy in general) doesn't have ranged attacks, they'll peacefully stand there getting smacked around until they're supposed to move - though if you try to interrupt their attempt to walk to the next sightseeing spot by directly putting a unit in their path (or had the unit in the way of where they'll be going) they'll start fighting it, or flashstep past it in Crownslayer's case.
This is a good guide, but I think the levels listed are a bit low. Best have Hibiscus, Beagle, Melantha and Kroos promoted to elite 1 and at least level 20 for a guaranteed clear, as well as only removing Courier when the first two Casters heads towards the top lane - I didn't get full clear for a few times because the mobs managed to slip past Cuora right before I placed down Kroos.
Tbh I wish we had more control over the camera angles and such so we could see our units and field more easily... sometimes I won't even know a skill is ready or see that there's a hole on a map ;_;
I don't understand what is wrong but when I do it goes perfectly but then when I auto it towards the very end one guys gets by and the leader dies way faster than she every has before and the skills are deployed later in auto than when I activated them I don't know what is wrong.
It doesn't seem like you can put Liskarm into the spot where Beagle is, but it might also just be she lacks staying power without being at elite 1. Which is going to be a big resource sink. But so would silence(my stand in for the top row healer). Guess I need elite 1 on at least one of them to complete the map without issues. Probably Liskarm because she does have that ability to give points to allies... Which should synergize nicely with Shaw.
An issue occured in my gameplay, i was imitating your layout the same way just with some different operators. Then when the heavy defenders on the top lane appeared, they kinda pile up there and my Shaw cant even push thek down to the hole, so the incomimg casters, soldiers and loggers just pass through and consume my "breach points" until i inevitably lost. Whats that? I did the exact steps, so theres no way it would fail. Is it a bug or my operator? Fyi, i used a support Hoshiguna to defend that lane since my Beagle is just 1 level and i dont have much xp records, im gonna retry again and do something with it, thanks for the guide anyway i actually got to 380+ before i lost.
