wow...amazing stuff...i am putting together an Italian army in the temperate uniform and I know what you feel...different sources show different colours and it can be really hard to get a match you are happy with....I am researching the Greeks and am seriously considering this as a secondary faction for my Bolt Action to go with my Italians....the Greeks were not supplied with any Vickers tanks from the UK (they were promised some, but non arrived). They were supplied with 100 Bren gun carriers from UK from 1941 and relied heavily on outdated WW1 mountain artillery.....They had captured L3/35 tankettes....and maybe Italian m13/40 medium tanks that were also captured....Fascinating guide to the paints used....Great escape make fascinating miniatures....The mule supply train is well worth adding to your army as a small mountain artillery carrier or supply for your troops.
Great chat and insight into how you are making your paint choices. I know I have a bunch of photos from the Army museum in Thessaloniki, lots of good uniforms in there. Will have to find and share.
Nice ! Interesting to see somebody else 'building' a Greek Bolt Action army. I used a mix of Warlord Games Italian and French infantry figures with head swaps (ie Italian torso & French head and vice versa) and different shades of khaki (and grey green) to 'identify' the individual squads. I've painted seven 10 man squads and French weapon teams. Still have to add mortars and machine guns.
