This is just a section from our day when we are on buying trips in Japan. We can easily see 10 breeders in a single day in Niigata. Today I videod 4 different breeders so you can see their facilities and the fish available in a typical February.

All great breeders with very different Koi to offer. Its a good experience to see how these guys work...its no different to when you guys buy a Koi. The facilities are similar to many Koi dealers around the world. You look in a pond, you see a nice Koi, you ask a price...simple! (ISH)

First time seeing a video of miyatora koi farm, I have a very nice tancho kohaku from them
I cant imagine how can you come inside the breeder produce fry very easly alone and walk around there, absolutely help us to know how and where they produce such a great koi 👍

Amazing place so wanna have an outdoor koi pond but winter is brutal here & don't think they'll survive.
Great insight to the koi farms, in your first stop what causes the white bubble surface foam, as I get that sometimes is it harmful.
What sort of filters do these breeders use? Do they feed the koi are keep it to a bare minimal?

At the first breeder, what would you say is the average top price for a 1 meter koi?
There isn’t really an average because there are not so many, they are expensive. Shipping a koi that size is also crazy price.
