While I hope they add it to this game, it would be tough to make the new animations for swinging and blocking, and to add a new button map to detach the two with such a finished build of the game already out. By the time they test glitches to make sure it works, the second game will probably almost be out and I’m 99% sure they’ll let us do that in there
@@finalgaming8053 makes sense, while I dont think it would be too hard to bug test and animate considering that there is already animations for the dual wield. Such as when cal throws his lightsaber or when he does that one power strike. Otherwise I'm excited to see what they bring in the next game, and hopefully dual wield will be available then

For the New Journey+, it would be awesome if you could keep all of your upgrades in the Skill Tree, but you can only use them when you unlock the Force ability. That way the game could stay the same regarding unlocks, but also making it a "true" New Game+.

Absolutely brilliant. Currently going through my first play through and was gutted the game didn’t have new game plus... but now, just awesome.
I think we need more outfits like robes or a temple guard skin I mean not to be rude hut I don't want to wait till a new game for more outfits I think it would be cool if they just added new suits and such now anyone else agree? Not asking for likes just wondering who agrees
What Respawn need now is just monthly cosmetic up dates with new chests scattered around the map and i pray that one day we see and online duel mode.

This is not new game plus. This is replay the game with cosmetics. The point of new game plus is to play through the game again with all your abilities and skills so you can try the game on harder difficulties. Hate that they didnt bring skills into new game plus
if u beat the game on regular, not new game +, and want to use the inquisitor outfit or the red saber, you can’t. at all. and i’m not going thru the strenuous rigor of exploration again. this game does not really offer any replayability which is sad. one of my favorite games and i don’t even want to do the story again.
I really hoped they'd give us the ability to disable the auto ignite and extinguish of the lightsaber. One of the fun things about sabers is being able to turn them on, but Cal does that automatically. Plus if I want to run around with it on he'll just turn it off.

Really wish they would have just made it so u can have a red lightsaber in your completed game instead of just having it for an option for a new save. If your going to start a new game the options are now new journey and new journey+ why would u chose just the story option if it’s the same thing with less content seems pretty pointless to still have it as an option

Patrick Tomlinson not when I spent hours searching for specific blueprints and crafting an armor set, then spend more hours finding higher tier upgrades blueprints for the armor set just to start new game plus and find a shit tunic that vastly surpasses my grandmasters armor set that I spent time and a fortune to craft.

I was so hyped for this until I entered NG+ and lacked all abilities, skillpoints and stim packs.... I wanted a NG+ where I could run through with all the abilities from the start.. it's an amazing game and i finally felt like a jedi after unlocking everything in the first play through, but then the story was over too soon... 😑 this doesnt feel like a new game plus, it's just a new game where you don't have to unlock cosmetics again...
The incentive to play new game plus is to literally feel like a god in the story your more powerful more health, force AND STIMS new game plus is about going and just enjoying the story and taking in the scenery not going out and collecting EVERYTHING OVER AGAIN the abilities are understandable because it's part of the story but everything else is just disappointing not to mention the fact nobody's gonna use the cosmetics they collected other than the lightsaber stuff because of the new skin so it's literally have a new game with no +

I understand having to re-earn the powers through story. But, why should we re-earn the lightsaber skills and survival skills again? This is like driving an old car with a slightly new paint job.

God, I'm so glad I skipped this game. It looks like a better version of "the Force Unleashed" with worse outfits. "Exploring" linear "planets" is fun only once. Doing the same narrow leve- I mean "planet" twice just ain't fun. I don't expect a full open-world Action-RPG, but what about a decent semi-open world Action RPG with a short story, but many different outfits and details to explore
well, for me it was the oher way around, for the first one, i focused mainly on the story, then i focused on collecting everything on the second playthrough but its fun either way you do it...

This game has a metroidvania-esque level progression. You do revisit worlds, but only to open up pathways that were previously blocked due to your lack of force pull or double jump etc. It's definitely not just a "better" Force Unleashed. It's an entirely different game with a decent (6-7 hours if you rush through) length story that fits really well into the universe while simultaneously expanding on it in a really meaningful way. It has a lot of issues that made me want to pull my hair out, but the story at least is definitely worth a quick glance.

Worst "New Game+" in existence. The entire point of them is usually to carry over your skills and progression, while allowing you to replay the story.
Exactly the cosmetic stuff is garbage.
I think the fact resta we got the cosmetics is good but of course, it would be better if we could use our skills and stuff.
Could not agree more the whole point of wanting to do it again is to go back with all your upgraded skills as well not just the cosmetic stuff that has no affect and the fact that you can’t skip any cut scene on new game, plus and you can’t skip the beginning is pretty crap

I would have liked to have kept at least some of my abilities. At the moment this isn't an incentive for me to replay the whole game.
Right like keep everything I had already just unlock it as I go. So say I unlock force push in story - all the upgrades are still there. Not just keep cosmetics + some new ones come on.

This is no where near what the community asked for as a whole. NG+ that had no abilities carry over? Hardly satisfactory. Only one new outfit that you cant even customize like the previous one? Making the grand total of outfits to two? You call this giving what “their paying customers asked for”?
@@jaykayhooray I mean to an extent absolutely...lol, they added in a whole new mode for a new game which was asked for along with the battle mode that was also asked for...is it 100% perfect...absolutely not, but it brought me back to a game I genuinely enjoyed my first play through with and I'm glad they followed through with it!
I'm surprised. Respawn said that they couldn't do NG+ for this game in particular because of how it was designed and laid out. But here they are with New Game Plus

I would actually prefer Jedi Knight robes, but that would actually take an effort, unlike flipping on switch for something that was already in the game.

Leonardo Farias I think he’s referring to the inquisitor outfit, because that was already in the game, we only saw Cal with Jedi robes when he was a kid, which is why it would be harder to add it in the game
They've planned dlc. Hopefully we'll get the robes in one of those content packs

This might be the worst New Game Plus I've ever seen. Part of the fun of a New Game Plus is the ability to rofl-stomp on the earlier levels with a maxed out character.

Me personally, i love it. I am a prequal fan and it would be cool if they added clone troopers to the arena. It's like Cal wants his revenge on his past with the clones
most underwhelming ng+ I’ve ever seen. being able to keep everything (cosmetics, datas, plant seeds, skill trees, XP, stim canisters, both droid hackings?, all 3 saber configurations?) and stripping all abilities would make way more sense than just keeping the cosmetics. It’s basically just a NG instead of a NG+.
Still needs dismemberment on the storm troopers... Thats what lightsaber do 🤯😂

So what was the point of obtaining all those extra skill points then??? That's just bull$hit, have obtain all the health canisters, and force and health secrets from all the worlds, and to top it all off, skill points go down to zero. seriously, F that. at least give us our skill points so we can just unlock. Was excited for this, but now screw it, back on the shelf it goes.
I played today on a save that still let me use all of my abilities in the arena's. The world is still active to play in after you beat the game.
Honestly this game doesn’t really work well with new game plus, because of the way it’s designed. Although it would be cool to have non linear approach to the story in new game plus. Like doing planets in different orders, it would make the game kinda interesting. Although it would also not really work because of how the story is presented. Like I said before the game doesn’t work with having new game plus.
It sucks that you cant get the xp from the chests enymore when you have already opened them in your first playtrough because it helps for the abilities

I would love to be able to play as all of the lightsaber users (inquisitors, Jaro Tapal, Cere, ect.) with their own unique abilities. And it could be multiplayer-you and a friend taking on hordes of enemies. That would be really cool.
But this update is more than enough content of course👌🔥
New cosmetics as well as keeping old ones are nice and all, but I agree when people say more should have been done to make this feel like a new game plus. I understand keeping ALL of the abilities is practically impossible, especially for a story dedicated to learning new abilities as you progress. But I think this is how it could be done: with every new force power, Cal relearns in context of the story (every time he's in trouble and a cutscene triggers to help him remember how to get out of it based on what his master taught him in a flashback), all of the skills you could normally upgrade once you receive that power will show up without having to hunt for XP to earn them all over again. The same goes for the BD-1 stims: after the cutscene where the healing stims are introduced to Cal in Bogano, all 10 of the stims could be unlocked, again, without having to hunt for the crates that contain them. The story would have still flown as smoothly as it normally does and nothing would feel out of place. The game will still have that sense of progression if they did it this way.

I love this game as I think it is one of the best Star Wars games I have ever played, but this isn't the new game plus mode I was expecting nor wanted.
The arena mode is something im very happy about, been looking for a mod or trainer for a long time.
Man I’m not happy with new game plus not letting me keep my powers.
Absolutely loved this game! I don’t enjoy multiplayer or online so I was delighted to be completely immersed in Fallen Order. It’s the first game in years that I’ve completed 100% EPIC FUN!!

This is awesome because I was jonesing for New Game Plus. I am very happy that I'll be able to play again without having to hunt down all the cosmetic upgrades I found. But i hate that I don't get to keep all of the skills I unlocked. I want to play through the game again as the total badass that those skills allow you to be. Many have said that skill progression is needed for the story of the game but at this point I don't care about the story because I already played it. They should just let you keep the abilities and if you have to play through missions to acquire skills again, so be it. It's new game plus, I don't care if the game/story is a bit broken because I already got the intended experience on my first play-through.
They should add where you can have one kyber crystal color on one blade, then a different color on the other for an option.

I was kinda hoping that there would be some new abilities for new game plus, like force lightning, or maybe absorbing blaster bolts with the force. Would’ve made for a good opportunity to make Cal feel like a real heavy hitter without having to worry about canon. Maybe those abilities could be unlocked through perfecting the challenges, making it feel more worth it to max out Cal again, for an extra layer of new progression.
But I wanted to feel like a badass in my first play through this is so annoying I will not play it twice just for a red saber

How come no one ever acknowledges the fact that we were flat out lied to in the marketing of this game. We were under the impression that we could choose to go where we want when we want and that was not the case. The story forces you on to a linear path and while you can backtrack to planets you have been to before that’s pretty boring and pointless unless you’re trying to beat the game on the hardest difficulty and need all the upgrades.
This just gave me a reason to play this game again, thanks for the info

It's really disappointing that they didn't bring over the Skill Points I've earned through my first playthrough. At least I could just unlock them instantly as I progress. Now, I have to grind them all over again. So much for a "New Game Plus". 😒
This game was so much fun, 1 of only 4 games that I've ever platinumed. I'm glad they added more stuff and I'm definitely looking forward to Fallen Order 2.

Just for reference to everyone that thinks they can't make a real new game plus because of powers breaking the story, God of War has the exact same thing and they just block the ability from allowing you to progress until the story calls for it, you still start with every power and weapon you had and they just created a prompt that says you can't access this part yet. It would take time but it's totally possible to let us have everything.
i think, overall, its realy well done! however id like a rerun option where u keep all ur skills etc (maybe new game + and newgame ++? something like that)
I'm personally very disappointed in this update. I wish you would stop calling it NG+ cause it's not. While I understand why they can't give us all the force abilities from the get go they could have at least given us the different light sabers and their abilities/skills. That wouldn't ruin the progression. ALSO I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY DIDN'T INCLUDE THE OPTION TO SKIP CUTSCENES!!! Who does that in this day and age???

Makes no sense to say it would break progression if they included all abilities and equipment. God of War 2018 did exactly that and just blocked areas that weren't available until the story progressed. The point of ng+ is enjoying OP of your player from start to finish while doing stuff you missed. I guarantee NO ONE plays again just so they can wear a silly outfit..
I hate that you have to redo all your melee and force progression... I understand it disrupts the story flow, but idc lol That’s the entire point of a new game+ mode. To replay the game from the beginning at full strength :( Don’t wanna spins ungrateful, but yeah sorry
The skills will need to be learned again? You have to re-get the life canisters? That doesn’t sound like a new game plus. The first NG+ I played was with Chrono Trigger back on the SNES. That’s what a NG+ is to me. Not this. Good try EA. But no. Thanks for the video though! 👍🏽

Wait, did you say I would have to re-obtain all skill points to unlock all skills again, as well as recollect all stims? Well F that is my first thought, not sure if it's worth it. Definitely an easy mode ng+ if anything.

@@Fiiwse5676 Force push/pull/etc sure. But it's not going to break the game to start with my unlocked skill tree. At the very least let me keep my unused skills points so I can start with something. The whole point of a ng+ is to start with your skills, weapons, etc... who cares about starting a new game with all the ponchos you collected.

LMAO I started reinstalling the game then I heard this isn't a REAL NG+ I immediately stopped the installation. How do you fuck up a NG+? How do they even got the nerve to call it NG+? Did some dude watch Witcher 3 NG+ game-play and say "Oh look he has the same outfit from when he finished the game lets just do that!".....idiots.

New game plus usually means harder/remixed enemies. It's not that though, it's literally just restarting the campaign. Wasted my time and a little bit of SSD lifespan re-downloading and playing for hours waiting for new content.
They may have needed to block off skills for the sake of progression, but they could have added/changed the enemies.
I was waiting for something like this for a while and I just uninstalled the game today
Not sure what system you have but on the playstation 4 even if you uninstalled the game you still have the save data still. So you can still reinstall the game and still have your save progress.
