Your travel content was and continues to be my favorite and your editing and composition skills have just become outstanding. This whole video si such a vibe, with snak tasting, montages, music selection and synchronization that's just SUCH a vibe. Somehow in a sea of travel content, some of which I subscribe to, yours transports and provides a kind of unspeakable emotional insight into not just a place, but the human condition as it navigates a place.
Agreed - I would have loved to have heard more. I keep hoping they will make a video with Sarah speaking Korean, but I think she is shy. I am sure her Korean is better than she realizes.
What a lovely vlog. Japan holds a particularly special place in my heart. But yeah, the heat, coupled with the humidity, knocked the wind out of me one October. It was intense! Loved your trip to the cat temple on the cat train and the delicious meal afterwards.
WAtching from Heart ICU in MIssouri..........it is fun to watch you....and keeps ming on the sunnysie of thing thanks o you guysl LOVED the cats temple.Thank you so much for sharing!.
We've flown into both Narita and Haneda, and yeah, definitely more convenient to go into Haneda, but ouch those prices haha. Have a pure Japanese culture story about small restaurants. We were in Osaka and wanted to try this ramen place, but it was literally like maybe 15 bar seats and there were 6 of us. So the customers that were already there we nice enough to scoot down so we could sit together at the bar. SO Japanese. That cat train is so Japanese too haha.
OMG, the vibe of Japan is so incredibly different to that of Korea’s. They both have a sort of Asian-ness about them, but then again, totally different. And it’s not just the look of the signage. I was so enchanted. It made me want to see it in person so badly, though you guys filmed it so perfectly. How can it be that you are sooo good at showing us things through your eyes? Thank you for making this vid, though there has to have been so much planning and work involved. One of these days, you guys need to just travel for your own pleasure, and NOT film for the purpose of making a RUclips video. Just to be able to relax and enjoy the moments flowing by would be so wonderful. But seriously, I don’t take for granted the vicarious experiences you provide for us regularly, because even your everyday life is such a treat to watch. Thank you, thank you, and thank you!
Guys, I love this travel video in Tokyo! I’ve been watching your channel for many years and I definitely noticed the improvement in your video production and editing. I love the sequences in 4:30 with both of you opening the curtains to reveal the Japan sky and 9:55 with you standing on the street with the yellow tram going bye. Very aesthetically pleasing!
Not far from Gotokuji Temple is the Shirohige Cream Puff factory, that does the most adorable Totoro shaped cream puffs for eating in at their cafe or to takeaway. It's a must visit for any Totoro/Ghibli fan. Also, not far from the hotel that you were staying at in Asakusa is Imado Shrine. A shrine that is also dedicated to the beckoning cat!
Thanks for sharing! I have to say, Sara and Kyuho, you’re both looking so well, beautiful and handsome! I’m glad you’re finally over your jet lag and getting used to your usual timetable. Have a really great and happy week!
I worked all day and when i came home i had my little dinner in front of my screen watching you guys, i waited for this all day, i loooooooved the video, can't wait for next sunday
This was such a relaxing video to watch, everything looked so peaceful! Your breakfast and dinner reminded me of why I love Japanese food so much, the freshest ingredients and simply cooked is what I love most about their food.
omg thank you so much for posting this! it just brings me back to how much i love japan. 🥰 there has to be a few years of living there in my future. the cat train seemed magical! =^·^=
Thank you for this vlog and every vlog. It was so beautiful. You guys are the favorite part of my Sunday morning routine. Coffee and you. And I am set for the relaxing vibes of the day! ❤
Visiting Japan has been #1 on my bucket list for at least 30 years. I'm hoping to finally go in the next few years as an epic birthday gift. The vibes in the video are immaculate and great research...never realized how easy it was to get to the cat temple!
I have been to Gotokuji a lot since I live in Setagaya. I love that it is surrounded by trees so it feels like you are away from the noise and crowdedness of Tokyo. I hope you enjoyed your time in Tokyo (I’m sorry the weather was still so unbearably hot while you were there). 😊
11:22 I wanted to bring back a bigger cat back home but all they had left was a smaller ones left at the temple. Cash only too There are cats built into the architecture of the grounds

I've been hearing how hot it is in Japan. How do summers (or end of summers) compare to Korea? I was feelin for Kyuho who looked like he really just wanted to go back to the hotel and lay down lol. That's me, I cannot take getting too hot!
It was very similar to Korea’s heat and humidity in the summer. But usually that intense humidity lifts in Korea around the end of August. I read that Korea and Japan had really long, hot summers this year 💦
That food looks so good!! I went to Japan last year and I loved it. I just bought tickets for Korea for next May. Can't wait! What do find different between Japan and Korea, apart from the obvious of course?
So glad you had a great time there! A difference that comes to mind would be the food prices in restaurants, grocery stores, and convenience stores-it’s noticeably cheaper in Japan.
I believe that if you get a "not so good" or "bad" fortune, you tie it so that you leave your bad fortune behind. BTW, Imahan is famous in Japan for their sukiyaki. I remember watching a japanese variety show where a convience store managed to snag Imahan sukiyaki bentos for their opening day. It showed all the hoops and kowtowing the company had to do to get that one day bento, which sold out in about 1 hour.
Yes! I thought so 😊 Yeah we looked them up afterwards and had no idea they were so well known for their sukiyaki, and we GET IT. Was honestly one of the best meals we’ve ever had on our Japan trips.
Poor Kyuho and his sweaty eyelids! Looks like you guys had a lovely time, I can't wait for the next installment. That sukiyaki looked so good! I appreciate that you've included addresses of the places you visit, that cat temple is on my list!
as tourist on a vacation 100% yes. but living and working there? rather not. remember, if you work there, the same strict rules on the workplace and societal rules apply to you
I loved visiting Asakusa. I first went there while I was on a business trip. Second time was on a personal trip.😊 Been going to Korea every year but some day, would like to visit Tokyo again.( I have friends there whom I haven't seen in awhile.)
I love that story about the cat at the temple. I wonder if the lucky beckoning cat inspired the creation of Hello Kitty? I was surprised the weather was that hot in autumn. I can't imagine how uncomfortable the Olympic athletes were competing during the summer games a few years ago. Sarah I had forgotten you had studied in Japan. You are very fortunate your parents supported this incredible opportunity.
We were constantly thinking about how Olympic athletes could possibly compete in that sort of heat when we could barely walk 🥵 And I actually won a scholarship for my Japan summer study abroad program in an essay contest at my university ☺️ My parents were a little worried about me going so far from home at first, but in the end they were super supportive of my experience :)
@@2hearts1seoul That's wonderful to have won that scholarship! You come from a small city in Canada, but you have had so many amazing experiences and seen more of Asia than many of your subscribers.

I reall really do love this channel. The shots in the vlog were really capitivating. I do have to ask how did Kyuho’s parents manage knowing where to go bc of the language? And was there atleast one real cat at the temple lol! Can’t wait for the next vlog!
Hi watching and following from Vancouver. If I may ask how much was that dinner with the wagyu sukiyaki? We will be in Tokyo from Mid October and would love to try that. Thanks in advance
We explained it in last week’s video. The first night and day was spent together, but after that everyone already had their own stuff planned, as we all have very different interests and moving as a unit of 8 everywhere would be so stressful 😅 Kyuho’s parents went to see some of the bigger touristy sites we’d already seen several times. His sister and her husband understandably took the kids to more ‘kid-like’ places they’d enjoy. Plus, we all wanted to eat very different things 😅 Kyuho’s family members also didn’t want to be filmed, and we respect that.
🗣️ The best part of Sundays is here!

That opening shot! So beautiful 😍

A part of my Sunday afternoons - your vlogs and a cup of my favourite cappuccino 👌🏻😊
Aww if you look at the thumbnail quickly it almost look like a Ghibli film poster 😍 something about the vibe and the colors.
That town we went to reallyyy made us feel like we were in a Ghibli movie! 🥹 Except there was a cat train instead of a cat bus 🐈
Was about to comment the exact same thing! Its a stunning shot!
