Yes would like to see comparison with the v3 & v3 pro. My main issues are the delayed notifications, & slow glitchy playback and the horrible audio! Otherwise theres so much i love about these cameras. No problems ever with wifi, LOVE the low light starlight sensor, (also can use through glass), and how you can scroll events with pictures in the app. App now is super easy. Comparison with app changes too, please. Good clear video, wide vision, decent distance. But if that audio still sounds like charlie browns teacher, then no deal.

A thorough and useful video. I am largely saturated with Wyze cameras, so this is not on the list for me, but if I needed to replace one I would consider the V3 PRO.
i have a v3 without the spotlight, im gonna use it for another wyze cam, alot of people said the v3 is better than the v3 pro. No clue, in the video in the night and day it looks a little blurry, not sure if it was because you zoomed in but normally without any zooming its crispy. When you zoom in its a little pixilated. My job is to make sure our house has 24/7 security cams in every area no matter the cost. Thanks for the review!
Looks like a nice upgrade from the V3 cameras....my 13 V3s are still doing good but when one dies I'll replace with the V3pro for sure. Great review thanks. 😎
I think for the price you can't beat Wyze. I'm happy with the picture, detection and all the settings/options. Their weak point is their mics which I think is the least important thing on a security camera. At least they give the option. Their subscription prices are very reasonable also. I wish they offered an option to record everything locally by purchasing a base station or something that you can put a hard drive in. Otherwise, I've been happy with every Wyze product I've bought.
I just bought the v3 1 week before the pro came out for Timelapse project, it would be cool if you compared the 2 keep up the good work I really enjoy your format 👍🏼
Now, I just realized and have to double check... it seems like there is no timelapse feature on the new V3 PRO... I'm not sure if I just can't find it... in the new user interface, it is not there.

Nice review...BUT I think you should note that there are really no solutions to make this work if there is no plug nearby (perhaps other than plugging it into their spotlight camera as you noted)...My understanding is that the V3 Pro doesn't work with the Wyze Solar panel and it doesn't work with the Wyze Lamp Socket solution either. So if you need to mount outdoors and you don't have power outlet within 6 feet then you are SOL unless you are willing to purchase a longer cable at an extra cost and then string that through a window to get to a plug.and if there is a way for thief to access that unlocked window that is now open to accept the wire you've had to string through it now you have a perfect opening for a thief to break into your house....This is a MAJOR issue...it's a nice piece of technology at a good price but what good is it with so many limitations. Wyze needs to get into a solution mindset not a component mindset. Also it looks like Wyze is increasingly going down the subscription path...today it may be cheap but will they raise the price tomorrow? It's for this reason that I passed on this camera and went with the ReoLink Argus 3 Pro with a Solar panel...it's a solution that will work just about anywhere and it doesn't require a subscription fee to get the most out of the camera. Wyze should NOT be limiting the features of the camera as a way to extract more money out of the customer...In my opinion subscription services should only be available as as a way to offer offsite storage of the videos. Don't cripple the camera's capability for subscription fees. I'm jussayin.....
If I knew the Wyze V3 Pro weren’t compatible with the Wyze Lamp Socket I would’ve never bought them what a waste of my Sunday evening installing these only to have to uninstall them and reinstall the V3’s

I'd like to see the comparison because i have all v3 (about 10 cams) and if its well worth the upgrade, i'll change it out. Seems pretty good but not sure yet. I love my wyze products, never had any issues with them.
To all those people who are ambivalent about upgrading to the WYZE Cam V3 Pro ,let me give you all reassurance that it is definitely worth it. I upgraded one of my WYZE Cam V3s to the WYZE Cam V3 Pro and it is vastly superior to the older iteration in absolutely every way .I will soon be replacing all my other V3s with the V3 Pro .
Since low light is so good, I'd love to see a V4 in a smaller form factor without the floodlight and IR lights. Something that takes less power and is more concealable. But yes of course, please compare with both V3 And the old V2. Maybe a full Wyze cam lineup comparison...
How is the new app with scrubbing through video in playback? I seems like Wyze doesn't do any caching so skipping around in videos has always been a laggy experience. I'm curious if it's any more fluid with this new one.

Dude hell yeah! Been waiting for this ever since you dropped the hint on your story. Also wanted to ask if you know anything about reolink messing up SD cards. Just got the811wa and have it in a camo set up. Put In my 128gb pny card. Went to format it thru the app and it didn't work. Took it out and tried thru a PC and it wouldn't let me format it at all.
I noticed the timeline is different. Is that for just the V3 Pro or is that new layout for the V3 as well? Did the V3 Pro fix the 90 GB MicroSD storage cap issue (won't record more than 90 GB, even on a larger card)?
I'd also be curious if this would be compatible with their Wyze light socket. 🤔 Edit: Per Wyze, the Wyze Cam V3 Pro is NOT compatible with the Wyze Lamp Socket. That sucks.
I want to know about how it can be easily viewed on live stream externally over hacks. This part you're quiet on. What ports need to be open? Most chinese cams be easily be hacked... even the ones that claim storage is "only" local.
Audio still isn't good but Picture quality is good both day/night . i like the zoom in function and this camera for 50 bucks is better than the new Ring Pos I mean Pro camera.

But what sucks about that is that we still have to pay for shipping if and direct order from Wyze is shipping via Amazon even if we have Amazon Prime, which is free shipping.
At least he did mention the notification speed was faster on the pro over the standard v3. That in itself makes it worth replacing. I have mostly the V3's.

The Wyze Cam V3 Pro is a NIGHTMARE!!! I ordered 1 of these cameras. It came with November 2 2022 firmware out of the box. There was a firmware update for Dec 12th 2022 so of course I loaded it. Camera wont play captured events. It always says 09 playback error code. So after calling Wyze support. They were kind enough to send me a replacement camera. Same exact problem! So after calling support again they sent me another replacement camera. SAME EXACT PROBLEM!!! After many hours of troubleshooting with Wyze support and many phone calls and ridiculous e mail solutions that were more of just passing the buck. I AM OVER IT!!! I have about a dozen V3 cameras so I was very happy with Wyze as the V3 cameras are a great camera. So I assumed that the new V3 Pro would be just as good even better. Now Im out $50 plus shipping. Im disabled and I dont have a printer. So Wyze was nice enough to let me throw the cameras away. I asked Wyze to send me a peal and stick return label before asking that. They said they would. I had to call Wyze back and ask them why I havent recived the return labels 3 differnt call backs about that. Then I called them back and asked them to send me proof that I dont have to pay for the 2 replacement cameras. At least they got that right. The next couiple of days I check my e mail and it was from Wyze . They told me to send the 2 cameras back that are in the garbage. I WILL NEVR BUY A NEW PRODUCT FROM Wyze again! I have read to many reviews that say. Wyze has a reputation of selling new products before the firmware is stable or even mature. I have wasted many hours of my life trying to make the V3 Pro work that I will never get back. On top of that Im out $50.00. I feel very strongly that Wyze knew this was a problem when they first released the V3 Pro camera in November 2022. Just in time for Christmas sales. I am so disgusted with Wyze it makes me sick to my stomach!
The onboard AI doesn't seem to offer faster notifications. I have cam plus on my v3 and the person detection notification is just about as fast as the pro. I hope they will improve this. Would also like to see a demo without Cam Plus on this camera to see what it will do without it.
So im using the V3 currently and regardless of day or night objects detected and faces are blurred or animals… unless object is close to camera than faces are shown clearly but still not that clear! So my question is ! When you zoom into object does it show clearly on this new v3 pro?

The problems with the Pro version is: many times it doesn’t always record events (even with AI), playback doesn’t show any recordings even though I have a SD card inserted, not compatible with Amazon, so I can not view the Live stream mode, not user friend. I highly do not recommend buying the pro model because it’s no a reliable camera compared to the Wyze v3. I have both these cameras facing the same area, but the Pro model has been a fail.
Only wifi b/g/n support though is so strange. its 2022. And no barrel power connection option. Which pretty much most wired systems already use, so if you are running that already and looking to change to wyze, you gotta do a bit of work-around.
It definitely is a solid product, however I think I will wait for Version 4 cameras to come out. I have plenty of V3 Cameras. The only exception is I might pick one up to go with my spotlight camera extra USB Extension from my garage.
It is actually delayed when you have a subscription and way faster without..except without subscription you have a 5 minute cool off on the notifications.
It really depends on your needs.. if you have the V3 and happy with it.. just stick with it... but if you want another and additional wyze cam.. then this is a good option.
I can't get the micro SD cards to work? I have tried both formats, including formatting from the device itself. I'm using the same cards out of my older cameras
From what I’ve been reading the V3 Pro will not work with the Lamp Socket. I was hoping to simply swap out my V3 with the V3 Pro but that would require running a longer micro USB cable to power inside my home.
No more timelapse ? That's too bad, that was a great differentiating feature for the Wze Cam cameras IMHO. EDIT - oh I see in another comment that it appears when you scroll far enough.

Follow up reply... yes, there is the timelapse setting in live view on the menu..you just have to scroll more to the right.

I haven't experience any issues on the micro SD cards in my Reolink. Try formatting it in your computer. Thanks.

Can it work with the garage controller and the spotlight work?
You should have tested the Zoom from far away to see if we can see the plate license clearly or not.

Major issue for me, is the limited sharing ability. Family members can not see events. (By design from wyze)
Do you think this Panv3 will work will wyze socket?
The Pan V3 needs 2 amps...so it is not recommended on their Wyze socket.
Do you know if the motion detection is pixel based or IR based? I have the v3 and it triggers even with shadows.
Pixel based live the V3 except the person detection is on camera and is included without subscription.

I will test this when the cam plus trial ends because I am not able to turn it off while it is on 2 week trial.

The problems with the Pro version is: many times it doesn’t always record events (even with AI), playback doesn’t show any recordings even though I have a SD card inserted, not compatible with Amazon, so I can not view the Live stream mode, not user friend. I highly do not recommend buying the pro model because it’s no a reliable camera compared to the Wyze v3. I have both these cameras facing the same area, but the Pro model has been a fail.

@@GameHEADtime - Yes, there is an option to rotate image 180 degrees in the app.
Only wifi b/g/n support though is so strange. its 2022. And no barrel power connection option. Which pretty much most wired systems already use, so if you are running that already and looking to change to wyze, you gotta do a bit of work-around.
Please compare to v3. How much more does the pro version cost?

I have 8 of v.2 and v.3 ..love them!
It definitely is a solid product, however I think I will wait for Version 4 cameras to come out. I have plenty of V3 Cameras. The only exception is I might pick one up to go with my spotlight camera extra USB Extension from my garage.

seems like notification isn't delayed like before even without subscription on my own wired cams so maybe they fixed it?
It is actually delayed when you have a subscription and way faster without..except without subscription you have a 5 minute cool off on the notifications.
Do you think is worth upgrading from V3 to V3 Pro?.
It really depends on your needs.. if you have the V3 and happy with it.. just stick with it... but if you want another and additional wyze cam.. then this is a good option.

I can't get the micro SD cards to work? I have tried both formats, including formatting from the device itself. I'm using the same cards out of my older cameras
From what I’ve been reading the V3 Pro will not work with the Lamp Socket. I was hoping to simply swap out my V3 with the V3 Pro but that would require running a longer micro USB cable to power inside my home.
That is what I heard. Wyze needs to upgrade their lamp socket to have more amperage output.
No more timelapse ? That's too bad, that was a great differentiating feature for the Wze Cam cameras IMHO.
EDIT - oh I see in another comment that it appears when you scroll far enough.
