This is my first video, happened across it trying to find a solution to my second hand PKMN Blue not saving (Battery replaced multiple times) so I can get the wife started for the first time ever..... The name of your page alone nearly brought tears to my eyes thinking back over the last two decade... to saves, and games/consoles lost in time. Let the games begin!
Commenting purely to say i'm LOVING the content on this channel so far, to me it's just really refreshing. I appreciate it, and the effot you put in (to the main channel too of course) - all the best!
The algorithm strikes again, I literally just bought a Cart Dumper a few days ago and was recommended this video right after lol. Cool helpful vid still and I know where to look now if the one I got has any issues.
My brother ordered the GB Operator for Christmas or for my birthday back in October I think. Yet,...it still hasn't showed up. I might need to call my brother. But yeah absolutely, I want to use these and save everything I can. I'm okay with resetting on some emulators like my smartphones throughout the years for Pokemon. But games like Pokemon or FF6, I need this. I need it bad.
I prefer the GBxCart RW myself! Would recommend that as another option since their site usually has them in stock. Also had the joey-joebag gen 2 before that, but that one was for GB carts only back then. Really glad that there are so many ways to dump GB and GBC cartridges along with GBA ones.
@@lostsaves Nice! The software isn't as flashy as the GB Operator or Submodule, but it gets the job done. I think I mainly got it since I also use it with rewritable flash carts as well.
I have the GB01. Previously the cover download worked perfectly. But the company Submodule is no more, I think only 1-2 people work on the issues. Very sad :(
I guess a lot’s changed in the six months since this video was posted. I followed the link to Submodule, and it says they’re no longer seller the GB01.
This is awesome hopefully one day you can help us find a solution to backing up our digital games from.2ds and 3ds and thier xl systems since the pokemon games are very valuable on there
@@davless152000 You’d have to look up how to mod your 3DS. When you do that you can dump and load all sorts of things including saves and roms. I’ve definitely shuffled saves from my GB Red to VC Red to PC Red, as an example. XY, etc are just as easy.
I think I was 10 when I lost my Crystal Version game save. I'm not sure how old it was, but definitely not more than 5 years old when the battery died. I had a red Gyarados, lvl 100 Typhlosion and a Lugia. I was a sad camper that day :(
I wish my Fire Emblem lost the save. What happened there is too traumatic. But I can't bear to erase it myself either. Alas, it's Fujitsu FRAM, not battery backed. The design life of data storage is about 40 years.
It's absolutely not you fault, but this kind of guide would have been useful at least one decade ago, R.I.P. pokemon yellow and silver saves! (My yellow copy maybe has a faulty battery, because i lost the save twice and the cartridge itself was still very "young")
Is there any device for dumping DS roms onto a computer? I'm mostly new to this stuff, the Algo put this in my feed. Also nice reference there at the end to sands of time :)
@@Villain_Killin_Dylan They are better for no scratches. N64 Resident Evil 2 will last longer in the wild than on Playstation One. P.S.- If you like old stuff but want it in HD I recommend the Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB in the Vilros keyboard/touchpad hub. Use Berryboot Lakka and Berryboot Retro Pi. Great system. Keyboard PC'S are back. The Raspberry Pi 400 is also an option. I own them both but the 400 is just for travel for me.
I’m trying to find my silver version. I had all 251 pokemon. And they were all at level 100 🥲. If you’re reading this please send a pray for me. That I find it ✝️📖🙏🏻🗣️
I dont wanna dash your hopes but my old gold/silver/crystal carts no longer hold saves due to dead batteries, weird cus my og 3 still hold saves on their original battery
Please los_saves answer me ? How can get pack my games ? I have nintendo gameboy you know that classic one , everything was ok , I open my nintendo theb suddley I lost the nintendo games 😢

The gb camera pics were such a sick find im so jealous
I once had one of those 1000 block gamecube memory cards. It got corrupted and I lost a ton of save data. It was devastating.

I used the Monster Brain up until a couple of months ago when I got the Epilogue GB Operator. I love the thing now that the bugs are worked out.

What cart dumper did you buy?

Sad the GB01 is discontinued
Glad I found this, have a game I played so hard it's on its last legs.

Do you know if there's anything like this which can create backups of both ds and gba games?

What's the cheapest thing to buy off of amazon to download save file on computer?
sadly they don't sell them anymore :(

Just use hacked 3ds with godmode9 to dump ds cart into sd card then you can copy from sd card to pc
I’ve watched the video a few times. Can’t figure out Wich one you recommend
Either is fine. I prefer the GB01, but the Operator is kinda the only one available anymore
question, my jpn pkmn gold does not save, even after replacing the battery, could this method work on a cart that cannot save properly?
Here's my question can I write a randomized version of that ROM for example pokémon Gold silver or emerald onto the cartridge
No retail games are not rewritable
What happens when my gba sp shuts off while saving and my file is gone? Is it 100% gone for good?
Does this work with bootleg games as well? I read somewhere that the saves save to the rom itself on bootleg copies.
Since this is not available anymore to buy does anyone know anything similar that will let me back up my game save files like this did ?
GB Operator is still available
Will this work for LsDJ saves for songs files?
What' s the name of the item you use to copy a data?
I don't mind personnally.
how do you save a game file in links awakaning
I will
The sole reason I refuse to play cart games anymore
Cartridges are KING !!!!!

can I save my data file to my 3ds for my virtual console?
