For X431 you need to use local diag and manually choose car model or input vin.
Can be done without the 38pin if the car has OBD
I've used it on both ML55 (US made, with OBD) and W202 Euro Spec 38pin only. (I've got the 38pin adaptor from launch)
Works on both so OBD is possible
The great thing about X431 is it's offline coding function that will let you code most if not all recent Mercedes models
You can variant code it just like in a Vediamo or DTS Monaco environment.
Great for coding off O2 sensor, start stop function off, turn signal blip times etc.
If you have a hash calculator for TCU, you can even code CSMA and enable paddle shift with it !!

Have the launch X431. Used it to relearn cams on E63 after rebuilding adj. Worked great, charges when connected to car.

I have ordered the Launch 129 EVO. A nice go-between for 300-350 bucks.

Great video, only with the pro there were a lot of menus not visible for us viewers 😬
And with the pro that the menu of variant coding is much larger, it won't say that it will do the coding 😉
I had that with the launch elite, I want to code the rear sam to led light.
The menu says I can, but it won't code, it freeze and says that the function is not possible.
Try another module, and also there are not all the functions possible even when visible 😉👍🏼

Yes sorry about that!! Glare was terrible! Yes any programming I recommend picking up a STAR/DAS kit, but for diagnosing and functions these are pretty good for the money!

With crp 919 e bt you has to useinternet for intelligent scanning. That's what others say.

    • @DownloaderVideo

Of course, with any scanner and that’s because “intelligent” scanning depends on the internet to look up at the VIN number and find out what car is connected.

Thanks for the great review. Did you manage to connect the old c-class w202 through its 38-pin socket by any chance? If so, what kind of 38-pin adapter do you recommend for the CRP919EBT tool?

    • @ANDERZENAMG
      @ANDERZENAMG  5 месяцев назад +1

@@mihailsotirov3602 you can but you need the launch specific adapter and it only comes in a kit for about $150 last time I checked

    • @mihailsotirov3602

@@ANDERZENAMG The price is ok if it makes it possible to connect to all modules of my older w210's. If you have a link to the seller, that'd be super helpful. I've got the CRP919EBT tool, but it doesn't seem to work with simple benz 38pin-to-obd2 cables. That's why I'm looking for a Launch specific adapter, however there are several ones available on ebay, Amazon and Ali and I'm struggling to choose which one would be suitable for my tool.

@@bobikotevski7046 considering they are close to same price the launch tools run circles around the icarsoft lineup. I have one and since I got the X431 I haven’t touched it.

Thanks for putting this together. I have the iCarsoft w/38 pin connector and I'm not wowwed by its results.
Could you share any info on the dos setup for the w202? I've been wanting to buy, but there are so many on ebay that I'm not confidant in what to buy.
    Thx. Good content as always!

Any body with a w203 (04 c230k) experience issues with no sound coming from speakers? Checked all fuses related to sound system and they seem to be okay. Cant find location of amplifier, not even sure if my package has one. Anybody have any ideas? Car battery is also running at low volt. I have android auto and dashcam running on both usb ports, just recently purchased a radar detector and i noticed the issue started acouple days after i had all three of these devices running at the same time
