The main purpose of "variant coding" is not to transfer variant configurations from one unit to another, but to configure options on one's car, such as whether there should be a seatbelt chime, what unit of fuel consumption should be used, etc. This is a major advantage of the Launch Creader Elite 2.0 over many older scanners.
I lesson I have learned after buying a launch Creader which will talk to just about every manufacturers vehicles but it only communicates with the main modules - this Creader is targeted at Mercedes and looks like it talks to all the modules which is a consideration, probably this one would have been better for me - I'll be wiser next time. Please tell me if the launch scanner from this video requires an annual subscription fee? After all, it is known that launch scanners block access to software if the owner of such a device decides not to pay for updates and use only what is already in the device. Thank you for your work. I’m fed up with my 2016 40000 miles Discovery sport which is a shame because we love the comfort and the style, the car is well maintained I change oil and filters after 5000miles max…I’m old school. Engine management light P203B? Erase code with cheap OBD but it returns very quickly? Last week the car went ballistic bings and bongs and every conceivable icon. Relieved of £250 ABS sensor? Thought about Icarsoft after watching your videos, (if) sometime in the future we change car brand, I would need a multi car scanner, please advise, if you can. Thank you, please ignore the music gripe, I will use subtitles if I can.
Bought the launch scan tool off ebay from the official launch seller, wanted the elite they sent i believe is a lpwer version was told the elite version i wanted has cosmetic damage , not available. Was curious about launch, now not so much think i will look elsewhere
