Thanks for making this brilliant product review! I definitely want to get one of these. Just one question, though, do you know if it can detect the health of a hybrid battery? (I have a 2022 Corolla). Thanks.
Get a cigarette lighter led volt meter/usb charger and you can see the voltage before you start it, for about 1 sec and it goes to charge voltage mode. I think this diagnostic tool can register different capacity or syle when you replace the battery.
Thanks for the great video review, Quick question..have you seen in the menu if it's possible to register a replacement 12v battery? So that when you replace the OEM battery w/new a re-calibration?
@@TunerwithKids Registration of a new battery after replaced, so that the computer can recalibrate the alternator as they not the normal 12v acid batteries, they are the start/stop
This is completely unrelated to the video but where were you able to get the right replacement capacitor for your craftsman compressor? I have been searching for an hour and still have not found the right one. Thanks
Thank you for the detailed video. I have two questions: Can I register another key fob using this? Is it possible to change the air conditioning temperature units from Fahrenheit to Celsius using this tool?

Thanks for this review! In your opinion is the bigger screen and $50 (CAD) price difference worth it over the smaller non PRO version? Also how much does it cost for the other OEM software upgrades from the mall?
Is there a function to turn off TPMS Warning altogether? I don't care about the red symbol being lit up, but when I'm trying to monitor a function on the little square readout, I don't want it to constantly go off and say check system. I'm going to wear out that damn display button going back to the readout I'm looking at!
The dealer quoted me $70 apiece for the sensors. Then I still have to have them installed. One of the things that really annoy me about this car I can check my own damn tire pressure. I don't need the nanny.
I actually got it to work. Now it only makes the windows go down but not the sunroof to open. I had to disable the windows down with wireless first and then go into sliding roof and disable that one. However, the thing that I wanted was to be able to use the wireless to roll them up, but there's no way to do that.
Thanks for showing the new product. Hopefully this one is much more tolerant to charging because the OG version will fail if you use any cable or wall wart than what comes with it. Still good stuff here that makes a faithful attempt at copying Techstream.
Do you know if you can do a health scan without connecting to a Wi-Fi source? My scanner connects easily to my Wi-Fi but I can’t connect to hotspot on my phone when I’m mobile and trying to scan other cars I’m interested in buying.
@@TunerwithKidsI found the trans under a/t oil temp. What about programming a new key? I don’t see the transponder code registration. I see the wireless registration to program a new fob but not to program a new key. I have an XB with key fob together so does that mean if I program the fob will that program the key also? Also I don’t even have TPMS programming, it’s not on the menu. Are somefeatures not available on some Toyota models?
I bought the last version, portrait. They sent me this one to compare. It does same thing except it’s slightly faster and has the landscape screen. The cheaper portrait one is better value. They offer different models on same product link, just change the selection.
I think the 123x might be more generic scan tool for all cars. This one I reviewed has brand specific software for custom features from the OEM scan software.
2 big questions... first will this read the Hybrid battery in my Toyota Camry Hybrid and can I use this to shut off the annoying seat belt beep? Second question.. After I have used it to reset the TPMS on my Camry, can I use it to reset the TPMS on my wife's RAV4? We area a Toyota family... Two Camrys and one RAV4 so this device could be a God send if I can use it on all three cars
The big question is will you be able update it if you buy a new Toyota in a year or two. I had midrange Autel with supposedly "free life time" updates aimed at DIYers. When I bought a new car i thought perfect i will run the update and at least I will be able to read codes and some basic data. Well... no update :( Call Autel...no updates. So my 2021 bought Autel is now just a brick - since i kid you not most of the models in this 2021 bought Autel are 2014 with some 2017!! Autel does not even recognizes my 2023 Toyota. So Autel's "free life time "updates is worthless false advertisement :(

Never heard of such a requirement for any Toyota

Amazon. See the links in that video description. If you know the uF rating and volts of the original just type it in. There’s a run cap and start cap.
Thank you for the detailed video. I have two questions:

Yes for keys. The F vs C units is a regular setting on the NAV or AC controls.
@@TunerwithKids sorry, the NX350 2022 model doesn’t have the option to change the temperature unit

I responded on one of the three previous times you asked this below.
Can this read the TPMS and also reset them?
Yes it will program tpms.
@ Excellent thank you!

The cheaper portrait version does same and probably not worth the extra for landscape version.

No way to bypass TPMS. Just buy sensors for $120 and have a safety feature.
The dealer quoted me $70 apiece for the sensors. Then I still have to have them installed. One of the things that really annoy me about this car I can check my own damn tire pressure. I don't need the nanny.
Can you make it so when you long press you can make just the driver and passenger windows go down and not the rear windows and the sunroof?
No it’s all or nothing.
Thanks!

The other portrait version is powered by the OBD port with no battery. This version has a battery but is also powered by the port.

No need for WiFi to use it. WiFi is only to send stuff to yourself or to view any information about a code pulled
How do you check the transmission temp and how do you test the alternator? Having a hard time finding those tests on mine for a 2012 Scion XB.
@jlo5470 under the transmission ECM, there should be a menu for monitoring all the sensors. Maybe under utilities.

@jlo5470 key program is under immobilizer module wireless registration is for fob buttons.
TPMS has its own module too, under utility.

It will work on all modern Toyotas. Lots of menus and options that you may never have time to test.

They been updating it, but thats all based on if they are in business in the future.
