I love how it initially starts with a more unique, sombre sounding Middle-8... Only to return to the more classic 'triumphant' version the second time round!
Cool. I remember 23 years ago when I heard David Arnold was doing a pass on the theme tune I thought we were going to get epic symphonic Independence Day/Stargate/007 kind of arrangement like the Murray Gold themes. To me it just sounded like he woke up badly hungover on a Sunday and realized he was under contract to deliver it Monday so put minimal effort into a quick first draft and went back to bed. It never sounded “finished” (big finish pun) This is definitely more complete sounding.
Everything is recorded in Cubase. What gets used for each theme varies, but usually they include elements from a DX7, Alpha Juno, Behringer Pro1, samples from an E-MU emulator, virtual CS80, and the spitfire audio BBC Symphony orchestra plugin. There’s also several effects plugins that do a lot of heavy lifting.
That middle eight at 0:45 is so beautifully ethereal-sounding.

I love this
I love when the middle 8 is in a different key than the rest of the theme!
I love that CS80 sound!
What's it feel like to never miss 🎵🎶
I adore this theme, really captures the 90s feel ❤
Great stuff, man. Great stuff.
Awesome.

Your remixes are superb! Do you take commissions?
Thank you very much. Not at the moment I’m afraid but I hope to be back doing it again soon
This rocks! Where can I go to buy/download your music?
