I really enjoy David Arnold's take on the theme, and I finally got around to doing one inspired by it. Mostly done on the CS80v. Thanks for watching!
Disco Doctor Who Theme X Girls On Film (Duran Duran / Mankind / Meco / Space)
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.Год назад
Duran Duran's 1981 "Girls On Film" sounds very similar to Mankind's 1978 "Dr Who". I have mixed the two together along with Meco's "Cantina" and Space's "Magic Fly". Thanks for listening! The songs used in this mix are the property of the original artists. No copyright infringement is intended.
What if Modern Talking made the Doctor Who theme?

I've always liked the series 'What if did a Doctor Who Theme?' that @GeorgeCMusic does, so I thought I'd have a go at one as well. Thanks for listening.
Who Monday - Blue Monday X Doctor Who Theme Mashup
Просмотров 7 тыс.Год назад
I had this idea ages ago but only just got around to it now. I may do a longer version in future depending on the popularity of this one. It's mostly built up of samples from the original Blue Monday stems and the 1963 Doctor Who theme, with a bit of Arp Odyssey to make it a bit more 'Howelley'. Thanks for watching.

I've always felt like Delia Derbyshire's 'Delaware' version of the theme has unnecessarily been frowned upon and is rarely referenced in fan covers of the theme. The bassline was reconstructed using the extended version of the Delaware theme as it features several moments where the bassline isn't accompanied by the melody or any other effects. As well as the Delaware version of the theme, the p...
Giorgio Moroder 'I Feel Love' Bassline Demonstration

A quick demonstration of the layers that make up the bassline for Donna Summer's 1979 song, I Feel Love. All layers (minus the string synthesizer) were recreated using the Behringer Pro-1.
Roland Alpha Juno 'Rick Astley Drums'

This is just a demonstration of the ElectroDrm preset on the 1985 Roland Alpha Juno, one of my favourite sounds from this synth. Its a sound that was used heavily by Stock Aitken Waterman / Pete Waterman Label. Probably its most famous use is the opening drums to Rick Astley's 'Never Gonna Give You Up'.
Doctor Who: The Dark Dimension | Cybermen Cliffhanger (Plus a Bonus Theme)

Merry Christmas everyone. Heres a littles experimental track, mostly drawing inspiration from Keff McCulloch's late 80s work, but with plenty of other little references throughout. If you're curious about the image in the video, or what exactly the Dark Dimension is, I recommend having a look at this: tardis.fandom.com/wiki/The_Dark_Dimension_(TV_story) Thanks for watching.

Doctor Who Theme - Modern Classic

I gave in and got myself a CS-80 VST. This started out as a part two to the Amalgamation theme but evolved into something a bit different. The baseline took ages to get the sound I wanted for it but I'm quite happy with it at the moment, might tweak it a bit at some point. Instruments used: Yamaha DX7 Roland Alpha Juno 2 Behringer Pro-1 Yamaha CS-80 VST EMU- Emulator Samples

V. Good
how many layers is it?
5 including the drums/percussion track
oh wait, so there are three layers to the bassline, and the phasy flangy staccato sound is one of them?? Interesting. Because I'm always wondering what that sound is. It travels through the stereo spectrum left to right and is also phasey sounding too. And sounds like 16th notes, like the right channel highat.
I clicked on this thinking "oh this is something I could enjoy", found a comment by my very self saying this is incredible, and stayed to see if I agreed with my past self: and indeed i do! This works so so well!
[Geronimo!]'s Cadillac is the perfect joke for this. Awesome combo!
@@solomedz9420 kicking myself for not giving it that title!
Much better than the slop they serve up now.
SUPERLATIVE!
0:00 (The Doctor and their companion turn their flashlight to the corner of an otherwise empty laboratory, finding a half cyber-converted human corpse) Companion: Oh my god, that's...I saw her. I had a feeling the Cybermen got her, but...like this... Doctor (closely inspecting the half-converted Cyberman): Yes, it would appear that the test's "reward" isn't quite what it's made out to be for those who seek it. Companion: They're killing the test's winners without anyone realizing it and making new Cybermen out of the dead, like some kind of zombies... Doctor: It certainly appears so, in a way. I'll need a closer look. Companion: I think I'm gonna be sick...how are you not in the least bit horrified at all of this? Doctor: I don't have time to panic, I need to concentrate, see what makes these particular models tick. If the Cybermen here are to be stopped, we need to cut off their means of increasing their numbers. Let's see, outer-level circuitry certainly seems more Mondasian-leaning...(continues mumbling to themself and analyzing the half-converted Cyberman) 1:22 (Another partially-converted Cyberman directly behind the Doctor and their companion activates and starts slowly getting up and approaching them; the companion notices after a few seconds) Companion: Doctor... Doctor: I told you, I don't have time for- Companion: DOCTOR!!! (The Doctor turns around, realizing the danger) Doctor: Looks like these models only require partial physical conversion to function as Cybermen. Companion: Okay, well, now that we know what makes them tick, let's leave here. Doctor: Good call. (The Doctor and companion turn to make their escape, only for several lights to come on in the darkness in front of, behind, and around them, revealing more partially-converted Cybermen) Companion: They were all active, they've got us boxed in! Doctor: I can see that! (Sighs, irritated) We're too late, if only this level of conversion is enough, the Cybermen could swarm the entire- 3:04 (The Doctor is cut off as they are grabbed by the neck and lifted up by one of the Cybermen, who begins strangling the Doctor with one hand) Cyberman: (Distorted, static-y voice) DELETE, DELETE, DELETE, DELETE!!! 3:08 (Close up of the Doctor being strangled, cut to episode end credits)
Great stuff, man. Great stuff.
This rocks! Where can I go to buy/download your music?

Hi there, sorry just wondering? Do you take Commissions at all? Because I'm in need of someone to Commission for a DW Theme Tune, for my Project and your work is phenomenal and I'd love to chat to you about it!
I love when the middle 8 is in a different key than the rest of the theme!
This gave me chills. Nice work!
This is better than the modern stuff, thing I find about the modern crap is its earthly where as this. This is Ailen… I love it
She stood alone, the hum of the vessel echoing in her ears. In his absence, she made a choice, the universe bending slightly to her will.
I theme for themes.
I am blown away!!
This is incredible!
Kraftwerk+Doctor Who!
You make the best Dr Who remixes on RUclips
Love it!!!!!
An absolute banger!
Wow. Just wow. I can see the episode playing out in my head here.
Amazing, gettings from Mexico city
Fantastic work, some how I prefer this to the original version
THAT BASSLINE--😍😍😍
I *love* this rendition. The piano notes are perfect additions!
This is my favorite mix so far
7 of the Doctor.
This would be fantastic on its own, but I love that you used the Doctor Who font for the subtitle, but KNEW the R is completely wrong and replaced it with the right one. That alone deserves a like, but the music is so great it deserves a sub. REMARKABLE work!
I love this
love the impact and punch on the beats, this would be brilliant if your testing s sterio system, love it!
Dfvhhhhhjjkkkkk
The class of 1987 graduation theme
I love how it initially starts with a more unique, sombre sounding Middle-8... Only to return to the more classic 'triumphant' version the second time round!
Well played! It's more than just a mash-up
good theme! it's heavy ambient
Fits the 70s era of Dr who Perfectly! Back when it was just a wacky little Sci fi show
NAILED IT

The class of 1996-2001 graduation theme
Fantastic theme. Just Discovered your channel and I Love everything you've made.Keep up the good work.
Absolutely Fantastic! Keep Up the good work my friend. :)
Cool. I remember 23 years ago when I heard David Arnold was doing a pass on the theme tune I thought we were going to get epic symphonic Independence Day/Stargate/007 kind of arrangement like the Murray Gold themes. To me it just sounded like he woke up badly hungover on a Sunday and realized he was under contract to deliver it Monday so put minimal effort into a quick first draft and went back to bed. It never sounded “finished” (big finish pun) This is definitely more complete sounding.
Your best work imo, I adore this
Your remixes are superb! Do you take commissions?
Thank you very much. Not at the moment I’m afraid but I hope to be back doing it again soon
If Doctor Who didn't get cancelled in 1989, this would've been the theme for Season 27 and early episodes of Season 28
This is an excellent piece. For those who want a timestamp (they're not the official names): 0:00 Cyberman Cliffhanger 3:08 The Dark Dimensions Theme
