The Ravager Lurkers did amazingly well considering cost difference. So did the Reavers. Mutas suck in combat as usual and Ultras need to be able to step over lings like the HotS trailer. So painful to see them derping around TT
Man, rough day. For some reason I expected the ghosts to be smart and wipe the archons and then best the zealots straight up. Also couldn't believe how much difference the 20 collosus made. Last the immortals plinking down zerglings. 0/3 day for even mediocre targeting expectations
I've only played SC and SC: Broodwar and I love protoss - they're so cool and versatile and I can win vs both zerg and terran with ease (I''m not a pro player, never played pvp). But looking at Tya's videos I can't help but notice that protoss just downright suck or they need greater numbers to be on par with zerg or terran units. I mean archons were the best unit in SC1 (medium range, fast attack animation, splash damage), but here they just stand there waiting for their attack animation to kick in. This is especially noticeable when they attack a unit, but mid-animation the enemy unit dies and the archon's attack animation resets which takes about 2 seconds to perform a new attack.
I really feel like units whose main source of dps comes from their abilities are poorly represented here by the AI. A smart human would have saved at least some ghost energy to EMP the archons, but the ghosts kept sniping zealots instead. I doubt they would have won, but it probably would have been closer. Or at least fewer archons would have survived.
