I’m so glad yt recommended you’re channel and can relate so much what you’re going through. Over the past few years, I’ve lost all my friends due to my mental state. It gets exhausting for folks. My Mom was the only person who stood by me and was my main source of human interaction until she tragically and unexpectedly died last year. It’s been a really difficult time and hearing about other folk describing the difficulties of daily living helps not to feel so alone and to not beat myself up so much when I’m having long stretches of negative symptoms

Thank you for your video, I relate to this a lot, Low energy, withdrawing from society, sleeping a lot, eating too much, personal hygiene (brushing teeth mainly, which is bizarre as I’m fine with the rest XD), I’ve also found my sense of humour has been dulled so i struggle with what i used to find interesting or humorous, i always used to joke and laugh now i struggle. It’s been 3 and a bit years since my diagnosis and every day is bizarre to me. Another thing about sleep do you find you haven’t got your symptoms when you dream? I find that I’m my old self (normally) when i dream like my brain has a back up partition that hasn’t got the symptoms. As soon as i wake up though it hits like a hammer :( again thank you!

    • @KimberlyHallberg

Thank you for watching and commenting! And yes my humour has definitely been dulled but it has also grown darker when I use it, not sure why but it might also be because I have become quite the nihilist 😂 as for dreams, it varies for me, I have dreams where im not experiencing psychosis but i have also had nightmares about psychosis… 🤔 have a nice Sunday evening and again thank you for watching and commenting 💚

@@KimberlyHallberg on your first suggestion I would initially recommend quite the opposite. Dieticians and doctors are obliged by their licensing bodies to offer only approved advice, which may be obsolete and the results of corrupted science.
Improving your own energy management is individual but you could do a lot worse than considering the teachings of Georgia Ede, including but not limited to her contributions to LCDU.

There’s a huge community of scientifically informed people discussing the benefits of ketosis and even carnivore for humans that fail to thrive on the alternatives. Almost all factions agree that there is no place for processed food in the diet of vulnerable people.
On your second suggestion I agree, regarding visibility of your own results from your food choices. Consider all options but find what works for you.

Hej Kimberly, jag hörde dig i en svensk podd...... skriver på engleska för att ja ser de flesta kommentarer är på Engleska. Modigt av dig att va med i en podd!
I know almost exactly how you feel, the tiredness, the fatigue, the weightgain, the social withdrawl..... i had low self esteem as well.... i still dont have the best self esteem.... Ive changed medication alot of times. Have you done blood tests? i had a very high prolactin so i had to change...... and Abilify Maintena works for me, i took walks with my dog and exercised at home on my yoga mat and danced and when i started to get the energy back i could ever start jogging once in a while.....and started to heat helthier, like protein shakes, smoothies and stuff and i lost 10kg after i changes medication...... when i felt healthier it was easier to keep up with cleaning stuff that needs to get done....
I had the kind opportunity to work in my parents store, half time..... its hard sometimes but you get over it, most people are kind and understanding! And when they are not you learn from that too.... Carl Jung said ''The world will ask you who you are, and if you don't know, the world will tell you'' Im going to school again in November and im nervous but happy! I've been symptom free a long time, but a couple of days ago i started having symptoms again, so im home from work today, it was too much stress. Thank you for sharing! Wish you well

Does you schizophrenia affect your reading? Sometimes words move on the page or I have a hard time reading sentences and making sense of them. I can’t read anymore!

Have you tried CBD oil? I also have paranoid schizophrenia and just medication isn’t enough for me but CBD oil has helped me a lot with depression, anxiety, I have more energy and I experience no hallucinations and my nightmares are not as bad.

and I usually do but it doesn't help much against the negative symtoms of schizophrenia. and then your meds also make you tired so resting during the day isn't uncommon as these things make your energy fluctuate a lot during the day. 🙃
