I’m so glad yt recommended you’re channel and can relate so much what you’re going through. Over the past few years, I’ve lost all my friends due to my mental state. It gets exhausting for folks. My Mom was the only person who stood by me and was my main source of human interaction until she tragically and unexpectedly died last year. It’s been a really difficult time and hearing about other folk describing the difficulties of daily living helps not to feel so alone and to not beat myself up so much when I’m having long stretches of negative symptoms
Thank you! 💚 i'm sad to hear about your situation, i'm very lucky to have my family around me for support. I wish you the best!
I just want to clarify that i translated dopamin secretion wrong. It’s not the secretion but the receptors that some antipsychotics affect I believe! 😊 I’m of course not a doctor so I’m no expert! 😅
So greatly appreciate all you do to help others by sharing your experience!
@@celiari9702 oh thank you! It’s really nice to hear! 🥹💚
I have paranoid schizophrenia too high five 🙌🏻
💚🙌@@chloecosmina1243
Thank you for your video, I relate to this a lot, Low energy, withdrawing from society, sleeping a lot, eating too much, personal hygiene (brushing teeth mainly, which is bizarre as I’m fine with the rest XD), I’ve also found my sense of humour has been dulled so i struggle with what i used to find interesting or humorous, i always used to joke and laugh now i struggle. It’s been 3 and a bit years since my diagnosis and every day is bizarre to me. Another thing about sleep do you find you haven’t got your symptoms when you dream? I find that I’m my old self (normally) when i dream like my brain has a back up partition that hasn’t got the symptoms. As soon as i wake up though it hits like a hammer :( again thank you!
Thank you for watching and commenting! And yes my humour has definitely been dulled but it has also grown darker when I use it, not sure why but it might also be because I have become quite the nihilist 😂 as for dreams, it varies for me, I have dreams where im not experiencing psychosis but i have also had nightmares about psychosis… 🤔 have a nice Sunday evening and again thank you for watching and commenting 💚
Thank you for making these invaluable videos! You’re so brave for putting yourself in such a vulnerable position, sharing your story. You’re helping so many people by sharing your story of your life. Keep doing what you’re doing! ❤️
Thank you so much!! 💚😍
Your courage to be open about your journey is much appreciated …much love and big hugs from Cape Town, South Africa 🇿🇦❤️🤗
thank you! 🥰
Now i dont have schophrenia but i am an introvert and being around a lot of people takes a lot of energy of me. It´s like draining my social battery. In so many ways you describe me 😊
yes! and it can also take some time alone in order to recharge! 😊
@@KimberlyHallbergwondering why so many people talk about it and somehow they enjoy the game of extremely high and low moods, you can stop spinning and just go back to work 😁
You're describing my life. I'm 99% sure I have Schizophrenia. I need to be put on the right meds asap.
Thanks so much for making these videos; they're invaluable!
i glad my videos are helping in some way! thank you! and I hope you receive the help you need! 💚
Great video! Thank you for talking so openly about these things.😊 I can relate to a lot of things you talked about especially social interactions, overstimulation and personal hygiene
thank you! 🥰
I am so happy I found your channel! Thank you for sharing it. It is so helpful for me, cause I have a daughter with the same diagnosis. Your videos help me to understand better her illness and the symptoms. Also you are so interesting and brave person with tender voice, so it’s pleasure to watch your content. Thank you one more time for your insights!
oh wow thank you! 💚 I'm sending you and your daughter my best wishes! 💚
You are amazing Kimberly, thanks for sharing your experiences with us. Greetings from Brazil 🙌🏻
ah thank you! I hope you have a great week! 🥰
This reminds me so much of my symptoms when recovering from psychosis. I would sleep so much and I also felt this was my mind healing itself. My last psychosis I was in an abusive relationship he would abuse me for not cleaning and sleeping all the time. I'm still so angry I couldn't recover properly due to that relationship
thank your for sharing and watching! I hope you're doing better now? 🥰
vad fint att du delar med dig, har verkligen fått mer kunskap/mer förståelse tack vare dig! ❤
Åh tack! Det är jätteroligt att höra! 🥰

Thank you for sharing.I have have been paranoid schizophrenia for about 24 years. It's not easy
thank you for watching! 🥰
Thank you for this information. When I was young, I had a friend who had psychotic episodes. I tried to support him, but it was quite difficult. I wish I knew then what it was about, and how to help. I wasn’t close firend. He seemed quite isolated, and that bothered me.
Please make more videos!
I wish you good mental and physical helth!
thank you! 😊 I hope you have a great weekend 😊
Thank you for sharing your experience. You’re also really beautiful 💖

has having a youtube channel helped in any way with regards to being less social?
thank you for watching! and yes it has helped some, I have some mutual RUclipsrs who I message with 😊
I think your very brave talking about your schizophrenia as I find when I talk about it it increases my anxiety and depression

Glad to see you back. It sounds like a trying life. My mom has a lot of your symptoms. She is bipolar and psychotic. Right now she has shingles which makes everything worse. Your hair looks beautiful!
im sad to hear about your mother! but thank you and thank you for motivating me to film and get back at it when you commented yesterday! 🥺💚
@@KimberlyHallberg I hope things will be well for you and stay well!
@@kimalonzo3363 thank you and you too! 🥰
Thank you for sharing
thank you! 🥰 Im actually a big introvert and not really that fond of people originally but schizophrenia kind of exaggerated that trait in me. maybe you're also introverted? My social battery was quite low before schizophrenia too. 🙃
@@KimberlyHallberg yes, I'm more of an introvert too and love spending time alone. But I've noticed since becaming a little isolated how much harder it is for me to feel connection to others ,that I was able to feel before. And how much less I have energy for socializing.
I also have diagnosis of bipolar 2. It has influenced every part of my life. It's not easy for "healthy" people to understand ,so all of them have disappeared from my life.
@@ruth6983 might be as simple that we're aging? or that mental illness makes it harder to connect with others? I certainly feel that it is harder to connect to "normal" people... just a thought. 🤔
I didn't watch more of your videos, so I Don't know if you have struggled with major depression, but for me, that also has made me isolate and notto built relationships because I know when having an episode, I can't keep it up .
@@ruth6983 I had a severe depression before I got sick with psychosis and now I "just" have depression from schizophrenia and I know what you mean, isolation really is a social killer, you don't have the energy to keep up with friendships at all, even remaining in contact with family is hard when you're depressed. and now after getting slightly better I have a hard time connecting and making new friends. but to be honest I also sometimes like to isolate myself but it can get lonely too 🙃
Beautiful white cat, I love white cats ❤️. Great video as always. I want to come off my antipsychotic but my doctor won’t let me. It’s an injection so I can’t just stop taking it :(
thank you! 💚 im sad to hear but I would probably follow the doctors advice even though I understand the want to quit them... I hope you have a great weekend! 🥰
I got Schizophrenia too. I had 6 episodes (psychosis) the last one was the worst.
im sad to hear! I hope you're doing better now! 💚
Hej. Kram ♥️. Bra informativ video.
tack! och ta hand om dig! 🥰
@@KimberlyHallberg Tack detsamma. ♥️
I also have paranoid schizophrenia and share a lot of your struggles. Low energy and low motivation is one of them. Social interaction also became hard after psychosis, but medication has helped me so much, it's all about finding the right combination of SSRI's and antipsychotics. You have a lot you would love to do but you just don't have the energy to do it, like if you're lucky you maybe can get some shit done and you get so proud of it afterwards. Can I ask, what kind of medications are you on?
thank you! and yes I also believe that the right combination of meds is key! im currently taking cariparazine I believe its called and, olazapine and bupropion as antidepressant but I haven't had that combination for very long yet so Im probably not in the full effect yet. 🥰
What medications helped you?
I think everyone is very sensitive not just the mentally disturbed One. This advice you can do what you want with but have you tried to challenge your psychotic thoughts with some humor and scepticism? Also your channel is soon reaching monetization so Good job there 💖
sadly I can't really use humor when I experience psychotic symtoms as they can be very scary and I usually don't have much insight as well so its hard to combat. 😕
good video!
thank you! 😊
@@KimberlyHallberg your welcome.....its very calming to know im not alone
thank you!
@@robertstone8056 oh that makes me very happy to hear! I really recommend forum.schizophrenia.com/ if you want to talk with other people also living with schizophrenia! 💚
Yes I think not gaining weight on anti psychotics is almost impossible... Though much less on Aripriprazole (Abilify)
sadly yes 😕 I have tried Abilify also and the hunger was not as strong as it has been on other medications. 😊
hi kimberly , thanks for your video . my brother have the same case (Paranoid Schizophrenia , how can we his family conivince him to go and see a doctor ? whats your advice ? how to bring it to him that he need medication ... thanks again
thank you for watching! 😊 as for your brother im not sure, sometimes it can be very hard to help them get the help that they need. they are adults after all Perhaps try to get him to see a therapist first? they might help him realize that he can get help with his symtoms? I wish you well!💚
I take two antidepressants and omg am I tired sometimes but also my sinus issues don't help,I feel soooo tired
Im sad to hear! I also get very tired from medication 🫤
Having problems with social situation is defenatly symptom of schizophrenia. 47 % of schizophrenic have social anxiety. For me this is worst symptom i have (i am psychosis free for 6 months) becuse i was so good in social situation before illness but now it is so hard to socilaze. I just dont understand how to be around people, as much as it sound silly. It is hard to follow conversation, to respond prooertly, sometimes i dont understand what are people saying to me...
I very much relate to you! I definitely have social anxiety 🫤 thank you for watching! 💚
HEYO from a person without schizophrenia! No need to take a shower all the time =) I only do mine once a week!
❤
Hey this symptom isn't always part of schizophrenia but alot of ppl experience this with schizophrenia is sleep hallucinations. I was diagnosed with schizophrenia and experience them
oh wow i have never heard of that! 😮 what is it like?
@@KimberlyHallberg it can be scary at times they are kinda like dreams but there aren't
@@mcatcatt6239 I can imagine! I might need to do some research on that! 😊
Same here
sad to hear! thank you for watching! 💚
I was diagnosed with schizophrenia at 29 years old. Just before I was diagnosed I was 173 lbs in 2020 then I got diagnosed and put on medication now I'm 260 lbs what are some tips to lose weight?
I would really recommend (if you can) meeting with a professional like a dietitian or doctor. other than that I really recommend keeping track of that you eat during the day 😊
@@KimberlyHallberg on your first suggestion I would initially recommend quite the opposite. Dieticians and doctors are obliged by their licensing bodies to offer only approved advice, which may be obsolete and the results of corrupted science.
Improving your own energy management is individual but you could do a lot worse than considering the teachings of Georgia Ede, including but not limited to her contributions to LCDU.

There’s a huge community of scientifically informed people discussing the benefits of ketosis and even carnivore for humans that fail to thrive on the alternatives. Almost all factions agree that there is no place for processed food in the diet of vulnerable people.
On your second suggestion I agree, regarding visibility of your own results from your food choices. Consider all options but find what works for you.
Hej Kimberly, jag hörde dig i en svensk podd...... skriver på engleska för att ja ser de flesta kommentarer är på Engleska. Modigt av dig att va med i en podd!
I know almost exactly how you feel, the tiredness, the fatigue, the weightgain, the social withdrawl..... i had low self esteem as well.... i still dont have the best self esteem.... Ive changed medication alot of times. Have you done blood tests? i had a very high prolactin so i had to change...... and Abilify Maintena works for me, i took walks with my dog and exercised at home on my yoga mat and danced and when i started to get the energy back i could ever start jogging once in a while.....and started to heat helthier, like protein shakes, smoothies and stuff and i lost 10kg after i changes medication...... when i felt healthier it was easier to keep up with cleaning stuff that needs to get done....
I had the kind opportunity to work in my parents store, half time..... its hard sometimes but you get over it, most people are kind and understanding! And when they are not you learn from that too.... Carl Jung said ''The world will ask you who you are, and if you don't know, the world will tell you'' Im going to school again in November and im nervous but happy! I've been symptom free a long time, but a couple of days ago i started having symptoms again, so im home from work today, it was too much stress. Thank you for sharing! Wish you well
åh vad kul att du hittade mig via podden! 😍 im sad to hear that you also suffer from this but glad that your feeling better! and I think It was wise to stay home from work at the first sign of symtoms, it will probably help to prevent further symtoms or a full blown psychotic break. I think leaning to handle stress is important when you have mental illness and especially when you have schizophrenia. I hope everything goes well for you! and have a great weekend! 💚
Thank you!! 😃💚
do you take immovane to sleep????
Not right now but I have done so in the past. 😊
May I ask what medication you are on?
Right now I’m on olanzapine and kariprazine 😊
@@KimberlyHallberg thank you.
Hello. Is the living in Sweden for free for people who have Schizophrenia?
no it is not but depending on your disability and function you can get disability checks which will cover your living expenses. but before you can get those you will need a doctors note and a lot of other things 😊
i am facing schizophrenia symptom due to spiritual awakening, please guide me
what do you mean with spiritual awakening?
What do you mean?
Change meds, fine the one that makes you symptom free
I have tried several but none have taken away all symptoms sadly
Hej Kimberly

oh thank you! 💚
My brother had a severe case of paranoia shizophrenia and died at 63
Sad to hear 😔
I'm so sorry for ur loss🙏🏻✝️❤️ can I ask how he died?
it is lot worse when you have both the psychosis as well an ocd its very not good
l
A keto or Carnivore diet is great for weight loss and general health . Ask your medical Doctor about how do to correctly ,though .
I would think that a good born again style church* would be a perfect place to go (( not catholic..))) you are loved❤
thank you but I'm not interested in religion! I'm very much an atheist ❤
Does you schizophrenia affect your reading? Sometimes words move on the page or I have a hard time reading sentences and making sense of them. I can’t read anymore!
yes it does! but mostly with being unable to concentrate to read, it used to be a bigger problem but it has gotten a lot better the last 3 years 😊
Yes me too! I cant concentrate while reading. I use audio books instead
@@Mf7d89 glad you found another way to enjoy books! 😊
Have you tried CBD oil? I also have paranoid schizophrenia and just medication isn’t enough for me but CBD oil has helped me a lot with depression, anxiety, I have more energy and I experience no hallucinations and my nightmares are not as bad.
i have heard of others also taking CBD oil but I have never tried it myself. I might need to look into that! thank you for the recommendation! 🥰
@@KimberlyHallberg np. It has helped me a lot with my social anxiety too. I take 5% few drops a day
@@aleksandracatt thank you! I definitely look that up! 🥰
@@aleksandracatt hi could u tell me what type of cbd oil you use for your symptoms of social anxiety?
do you suffer from negative symptoms such as depression?
Yes i do, its probably what effects my day to day life the most sadly
animals are usually very sensitive. does you cat behaves differently when you are about to have an episode? does you cat is afraid of you after an episode?
no not that I have noticed but they are more cuddly when I'm depressed 🤔
Dude you have to excersise to get more energy...
and I usually do but it doesn't help much against the negative symtoms of schizophrenia. and then your meds also make you tired so resting during the day isn't uncommon as these things make your energy fluctuate a lot during the day. 🙃
Lazy.........
