if youre directing people to this video, you should probably edit the part that says miyokos rappers are compostable or put some kind of disclaimer on it lol
this is the level of chill I aspire to be when it comes to meal planning!! I've yet to break out of the find a recipe for each meal and only buy those ingredients rut
I am in awe of the fact that you spent so little. Jaw-on-the-floor, crying-into-my-sweater in awe. #goals. I'll be working on my budgeting this week! All of those dins look so good!
Yes, more of the meal planning videos! I love how you try to include nice video cuts and b-rolls (even though it's very time consuming). Keep up the awesome job!
aww i wouldn't have it any other way 🥰 your comment literally made my day so thanks a million for that. i'm schemin up some new videos that i hope you'll also enjoy!!
Oh maybe! I lived there 2021-2022! Pretty much right across the street. Would have been super helpful at that point in my life to find your videos actually, but glad I found them now :)
my “””controversial / unpopular””” opinions on shopping zero waste: 1. i opt for naked conventional produce over organic plastic-wrapped produce because it’s just as safe and usually always more affordable; 2. steel cans (and aluminum too!) are infinitely recyclable and have a high recyclability rate so i don’t think twice about throwing canned stuff in my cart; 3. by some measures, plastic is more sustainable than glass; 4. i think it’s better to buy tofu in plastic than meat in your own container; 5. BUT shaming people for not being vegan is not okay; and 6. personal health, ethics, accessibility/affordability, and food miles all outweigh zero waste! agree / disagree?? i want to hear your unpopular opinions for a future video!
I have never thought of doing that with the cherries. That is a definite must for my next trip. Have you tried checking out kings red and white’s or the super compare foods nearby it?
ooh a durhamite yay! i'd actually never heard of those grocery stores -- are they good? we try to stick to our neighborhood bubble to save gas, the food lion we went to is the one on chapel hill rd.!
@@allisonfromearth super compare foods is pretty decent if you’re looking for things like a variety of peppers and more Spanish style foods in their produce section. Kings I feel has a little more meat variety, in plastic unfortunately but I am going to try and get to them one day to see if there’s something I can bring in instead. They have milk and lemonade in the glass jugs that can be returned for a discount and they go back for sterilization and reuse to the manufacturer if I understand correctly.
@@allisonfromearth thank you for informing me of that, I really don't know many vegan or vegetarian. I hope to include more vegan nights like: tofu Tuesday, tomato Thursdays (salads all day)😁, eggless frittata Friday, and smoothie Sunday. I haven't figured out Wednesday and Saturday, so if you have any ideas. Please share with me, thank you in advance.
@@joannabrown9577 i love this idea of themed nights, turns it into a fun thing to look forward to! a bit of advice if you're thinking about incorporating more plant-based dishes into your rotation: try to make sure to include enough fat + protein in your meals so you get full enough and satisfied! might i suggest squashé saturday?? i share the recipe in my video called "what we eat in a week" but it's so flexible, you can basically throw in whatever you want and it'll somehow taste good! thank you so much for watching and for your good questions
I'm so sad because the nearest grocery store from where I live is a 20 min walk and my bicycle doesn't work and the public transport doesn't even seem to go towards that grocery store. I can walk of course and I do sometimes. I just don't find that many options either at that grocery store.. And I'm sad because in Sweden, all sweet potatoes are from USA or Egypt 🥲 I just want some damn sweet potato 🙃 and there are no fairtrade bananas in my towns grocery stores. 😭
Anyone from West Virginia_(near Charleston) can answer this...Where is the best place in West Virginia to shop for Organic Food (besides the Health Market). We just moved from southern Minnesota and we had a CO-OP there, so yeah, we were spoiled. 😭

lmao THANK YOU! miyokos butter wrappers are not compostable, people! had to learn the hard way

aww i'd never consider that a rut!! def my favorite way to prevent food waste! will say it was kinda fun trying it this way for once though hehe
I don't see you as nerdy. I see sensible, organized, and striving to stay healthy. Love to witness your planning process.

omg thank you i have dreams about this sweet potato din on the reg!! needs to become a weekly staple!

@@allisonfromearth My pleasure! Looking forward to them :)
I lived within walking distance of that Food Lion a couple of years ago and this is so nostalgic! Thanks for the menu inspiration 🩷
whoa really?! is it possible we were neighbors?? i lived around there from 2018-2022!

So cool that you did a regular grocery store! Here, where I live, there are NO bulk stores within an hour drive. Thank you!
Something that feels illegal but isn't: Taking cherries and grapes out of their original package to only buy what you need.
HAHAHA wait was that a siren? 👀

Ο τρόπος που διαχειρίζεσαι τα τρόφιμα είναι φανταστικός θα τον δοκιμάσω ευχαριστώ πολύ
This film was so motivating and inspiring! I love your shopping and recipes and have now subscribed. Thank you for sharing. 😋
Loved this!
Question: as a vegan, is ghee vegan? I'm just curious, I'm not a vegan or vegetarian but I do meatless Monday!
ghee is clarified butter, so dairy! vegans don't consume animal products. meatless monday is something to be proud of! keep it up 🧡

nice video, new subscriber here. I love california peaches
a belated but huge welcome to you! thank you for subscribing! california peaches are great but have you ever tried a georgia one?? HEAVEN
I'm confused as to what was up with the salad dressing. Is it the brand or ingredients?
haha it was the brand name
