On this episode of Field Trip, we head to Cable Airport with Ken Block and his Can-Am X3 XRS with newly fitted handbrake and Toyo r888r tires wrapped around Fifteen52 Tarmacs. Ken tests out his new setup on a Gymkhana grid style course that we built on an active runway. Jason Ellis stops by to set some times and breaks a few things in the process. Good times were had by all.

It's in the middle of the desert and doesn't have too much traffic.

We have 3 hangars in that airport, but there isn't much air traffic apart from our workers and military.

The R888 were way to sticky for such a vehicule. I wish they did the final video with the Maxxis Bighorn instead. Looks way cooler.

you guys are gonna have fun when you have to change an axle or CV joint, the c-clips leave witness marks on the splines, so they wont pull out, you gotta remove the diff with one axle still on it , or whats left of it.
sweet, looks fun lads! im guessing the heavy steering was due to scrub radius on front wheels changing, cause very likley with different wheel/tyre widths and then the spacers too its gotta have changed to the nagative, just a guess, but worth calculating what it should be and trying again...

I noticed the clutch/drive belt cover is off while they are on the course driving it. I’m guessing they had to replace a few of those belts. Also, it keeps the heat down.
