Who ever made the choice to have Rocky deliver his lines like a 90's era Keanu Reeves is a genius! I've never laughed harder or enjoyed a characterization of Rocky this much!
This was brilliant. This has to be one of my favorite productions posted on RUclips. First one to actually make me tear up at the end. The characterizations was great, most of the time the comedic timing was perfect, and the singing was so well done. There wasn't a single person who was off key. I loved this so much and I was hoping someone would post a Rocky Horror production this month since the Coronavirus is blocking people from going out to see a show. I loved the acting and I loved the incorporation of the tv screens being installed on the stage. Well done to the cast and the crew!
I dunno -- my vote's for the West End production over on Ben Forster's channel (he plays Brad in that one & has the whole show posted) as my favorite. But then, that's the pro touring company. This one's really good for first timers...but their constant mugging for callbacks is really distracting, especially there seems to be only a couple audience members doing them.
@@zenfrodo Firstly, I specifically meant a regular production posted on RUclips not something like West End or ones that have a higher tier budget. When I said "my favorite productions posted on RUclips," I will make it more clear I was referring to productions posted with consent from people involved in the production. Secondly, I hate when people compare small productions like these to bigger productions like can I just praise the cast without a constant comparison to people who had more time to master the craft?
Also, your comment on the callback thing. Sometimes you have to press the audience to not be nervous about calling out something because without the callbacks Rocky Horror productions don't feel right. But yeah, it really gets under my skin when people say stuff like that. I really tried to go out of my way to word the comment right so people wouldn't say "oh what about the original" or "oh what about the West End revival." But alas, it was said anyways.
Regarding the callbacks and how integral they've become to even the live productions, I know it's become a regular practice for directors to offer free tickets for the best audience members. They even cast people to be planted within the audience and deliver the lines, which is an odd practice when you think of it. It can take the organic feel from it, like life imitating art or the reverse. Some have great success with it, some are obvious - like the shows where you have all the lines done by one or two people. All we can hope for in the future is that all the kids that found it through "Glee" - because it's undeniable that really is how a majority of the young fans know it now - will take it upon themselves to use the internet (a valuable tool for this most of us didn't have when we found it) and keep the callbacks alive. It lasted for years in cinemas, but it's sad to say most of those are finally drying up.
@@giggles7179 Yeah, people aren't doing much callbacks as they used to. I think younger audiences who haven't heard of Rocky Horror before are going to these shows for the first time and they aren't used to the environment it's in. You kinda have to drag it out of them to let them know they're fine. But I agree, the callbacks are dying out in Rocky Horror shows.
What a delightful cast, and beautiful performance, thank you for uploading this. Of the many stage adaptations the algorithm has suggested, all of which I have consumed with gleeful abandon, this is the most charming by far.
A lot of fun - super glad they didn't over-choreograph the Time Warp like most productions - but there is one small questionable choice: Dr. Frank N. Furter should be the most intimidating figure of the castle. There was a bearded gentleman onstage in a garter belt and fishnets from the first song of the show and I fear it rather overshadowed the "OH MY GOD" reveal of "Sweet Transvestite." Regardless, so many highlights: Brad looked better than 99.9999% of the rest of the male human race in tightie-whitie Y-fronts and managed to remain perfectly in character when Frank took his fall on the steps. But by far, 1:24:05 - THE BEST DR. SCOTT REVEAL EVER. God bless that actor for going all out! And the surprise that the Narrator was a Transylvanian himself was absolutely brilliant and such a fun idea I can't believe I've never seen it done before!
@@gingeedome9812yeah i didn't really react just shocked he wore so much compared to some haha. what a weird reaction. i think a lot of people reacted similarly because the outfit wasn't very impressive. i didn't mind i was shocked by how smooth/fluid almost everyone's dancing and movements were!!!

I've seen other stage productions, and at least in this one, Rocky was blond, as he was described earlier in Frank's song.
super underrated production this is amazing

Dancing in high heels is not easy, but the guys did a great job of it.
Brilliant !!!!!! I loved it so much. Rocky was perfect.
He was better looking than in many other productions.

The bearded dude killed it though! I do agree that Frank should have a more flamboyant/shocking outfit though.

This Brad reminds me of Jarrod Emick’s Brad.
