A few months ago, Gloss Gods made two advent calendars available - the Great Glacial (which was more expensive) and the Polar Perfect (slightly more affordable) - and I got mine in the post! Full disclosure - I am an affiliate of Gloss Gods. This video is the unboxing of the great glacial and more expensive palette and giving you my first impressions of it.

The bag is super cute and usable. I must say this advent calendar is way better than Sephora’s for sure 😅.
I live in the US & my husband got me one of these advent calendars as a xmas gift. I don’t have anything from this company but I am a bit worried that the products might be damaged, ect. It’s awesome that the owner is so responsive. To me that makes or breaks me continuing to support the brand. I’m sure glossgods will learn from this advent calendar since they seem like they want to please their customers. That being said, there are tons of indie companies who do mystery bags or xmas calendars. Maybe in the future they could offer a light or deep option or even just reveal the contents of the bag in a spoiler before ppl spend money with them. Anyway, I’m super excited to try them out!
I agree - an option to say if you'd like lighter or darker products would be so smart - and I think SOME indication of what's involved is helpful to make a more informed purchase. I hope that you love the calendar that you got!
Sweet Beets! I'm so glad you reached out to them. Did they give you this level of assistance knowing who you were or do you feel they would be this attentive to anyone who reaches out? I mean if someone else contacted them with the same issues, would they be offered the new collection too? Not that I'm judging, but I feel like it's easier for companies, no matter the size, to apologize than ovoid the issue in the first place. I contacted them once after receiving a completely smashed palette. It was that bad I couldn't use it. When I went through their customer service I didn't have a good experience. They refunded me the price of the palette but nothing for postage. Meaning I spent £7 on something I couldn't use. Hope that helps. Companies do tend to treat customers and creators differently. I can't see me ordering again for a long time.
I've ordered from them too, in one palette a couple of shades had crumbled I contacted them and they told me how to repress the shades and because I had ordered two different palettes they refunded the cost of one. I thought that was pretty fair. 🤷♀️🙇♂️

@TheWilmaFingerdooReview I was extremely disappointed with them, and it has put me off purchasing again. They definitely need to package palettes better. I have received other palettes with one broken shade before but never the entire palette. Hopefully, they will improve their customer service and package items better in the future.
Great vid. I got this advent calendar and we are twins right down to the separated product. Only my blush shades are different from yours in honey bun and heartbreaker, the latter of which is so light I don't think anyone can use it. This was my first purchase from gloss gods and it was fun and obviously no repeats for me. Wtf to the toner ball though. Overall I'm a bit meh about the products but I haven't tried any yet. Glad they received your criticism well. I look forward to the smaller unboxing for Thurs. Love the makeup bag though!

I’m not surprised that the calendars were so similar. I don’t know what the price difference is between the two.
Brushes are from what I’ve seen often used as fillers, and the brand have 7 brushes for sale.
I understand that you’re disappointed to get the same ones twice, but I’m not surprised. I don’t know how much the calendars differs in price, or if the multichromes makes up for it. I think that they could have included some skincare products in the more expensive one as well.

@@teresamulhern thanks I just hope it gets sorted before then cos my friend is coming all way from england to scotland haven't seen her since 2019 for my b day. It's my hiatus hernia I need up had ambulance out on sat as thought was having heart attack. I'm going to doc tommo. Ffs I'm sick of it all. Fibromyalgia is easier to cope with.

Okayyy I can finally watch your unboxing!! I kinda feel the same thank you about this… I do not own that many Glossgods pigments, so I didn’t get any repeats, but I wish we would have gotten a few more really interesting exclusive items, especially one new eyeshadow palette!!! One thing that could have been nice too would have been one or two exclusive liquid shadows, cause I liked the ones they came out with, but yeah, I put my money on the table cause they said we would get new products, and people know Glossgods because of their eyeshadow palettes, not their loose pigments 🤷♀️ I’m quite pissed about this, but it’s done! I’m glad they took your constructive criticism well, I’m definitely gonna share my thoughts on my stories as well!

I'm really quite disappointed I was looking forward to newness ,spent so much on the glacial advent would have got the cheaper one or just not got it, fortunately it had the two pallets I don't have I will be gifting some other things
I think if they were going to do any duplicates it should have only been duplicate brushes just because you can always use more brushes especially if they are good. But to do repeats on the eye shadow that’s a bit shady
