Thanks for saving me hundreds of dollars. I live in the country and just getting service for broken appliances is hard to get, not to mention the added expense of travel time. Your detailed instructions make this procedure a breeze and saved me probably an hour of “discovery time”.
Thanks ! I’m happy it worked for you.
Great step by step video! Even better that you kept in some of the small issues. Made this fix smooth.
Thanks!
Thanks for the great video on removing the face panel to access the front components! I didn't need to replace the actuator pads but the ice dispenser flap. Your vid gave me this access needed. Thanks!
Thanks!
Excellent video and the unit on this Jenn-Air is exactly the same as on my KitchenAid KBSD602ESS. Thanks!
Thanks!
Awesome DIY video! Thank you…I will be replacing water and ice pad buttons now. Old buttons are very hard to press.
Thanks!
Brilliant! Very nicely done! This same basic method for removal of the freezer door skin will also work on certain SS Kitchen Aid models like the KSSC42QVS02. Helped me a lot! Many thanks!
Thank you for the feedback!
Thanks, made my job quick and easy.
👍
Thanks Tom. I found your video very helpful. Thanks for making and sharing the video.
Thank you for the feedback.
This is almost identical to my 13yr old Kitchen Aid: KSSS43QTXO3...with paneling frame...great instructions! Even an Over-the-Hill "Female" enjoyed your video. ;-]
Thanks!
Discarded Rx vials are GR8 4 maintaining loose hardware control, especially when the screws vary so wildly.
Thanks for the tip!
how do you replace the water line dispenser on a 42 inch Jennair built in
I have exactly the same fridge and my icemaker randomly keeps dispensing ice cubes by itself . Can you please tell me is this ice dispenser actuator shorted or that dispenser control board ? thank you in advance
@@thesourdoughjourney I was thinking the same. Thanks for the quick response!
I’m not a certified technician, but I’m guessing it is actuator. The board probably can’t dispense without the actuator making contact. Try get lightly tapping on or around the dispenser and see if it dispenses. It is likely the problem. They wear out over time.
Thank you for making these videos.
Where did you find the model number? I have a jenn air fridge I'm working on.
I couldn't find to model number, and I don't have the manuel of the refrigerator.
@@siizrmccoy6262 when you open the fresh food section door. Label with model and serial number should be on the side wall, or on a fresh food section frame somewhere.
great video !!
Thanks!
thank you for the video , what was the problem at first ? that made your replace those parts ? thank you
Good question. I guess I never stated that in the video. Both pads were still operational, but you had to press them very hard to get them to work. And they were intermittent if you did not keep strong pressure on them. They were just wearing out from 10 years of use. And they looked pretty beat up.
@@dontscrewitup got you , thank you for your replay
Thanks!
Thank you!
THanks! is there a way to test these actuators?
You would need to disconnect the pad from the circuit board and do a simple continuity test when you press the actuator. You would probably need to put short jumper wires in the connector. I don’t think you could do it with the standard tips on a multimeter.
@@dontscrewitup i probably need to replace it then . When i don't press the actuator it shows 7volts when i released it it shows zero. Thanks' for all your help!
im going to try to just push the actuator/button up and pull out the actuator. cut wires then reconnect the wire.
Good luck. I can’t recommend that method, but it may work.
b afternoon, ask. I do not speak English. the cover where it has screws? does not show area
Sorry, I don't understand your question. Can you try explaining in a little more detail?
For anyone interested this also works for the Kitchenaid KBSD608ESS (which is a terrible and poorly made fridge if anyone is interested)
Thanks.
Nice job I’m an authorized servicer this is not what I would recommend most novices attempt most don’t have your skill
Thank you for the feedback. If I do another one, I’ll put a stronger warning on it.
