in today's speedbuild i created a rundown, grungy family starter house for the world of willowcreek! this lot and family will be included in my save pack :)

☆ how to access live edit/debug menu (with no mods):
1. open command console using: ctrl/command shift C
2. type type the following cheats in order:
☆ testingcheats true
☆ bb.showhiddenobjects
☆ bb.showliveeditobjects
3. close the command console using ctrl/command shift C
4. enter build mode and type "debug" into the search bar to access all these objects
note: you need to repeat all these steps each time you open the game or a world - if you don't have the better build & buy mod :)
i love seeing “lived in” and “well loved” builds lol makes the sims feel a little more real and adds character to the town/save

Honestly vids like these feel so comforting to me. The sims has always felt so clean and cookie cutter, but this is more like what it was like growing up, for me at least! Life isn’t perfectly clean, and it’s always nice to be seen through the builds. Maybe some grunge or crumblind walls, but still a home.
theres something so special about homes with "flaws" they so much character and history, i'm happy i could make you feel seen💛

I absolutely love the way you've made the whole block so cohesive with similar style builds! Touches like that add so much realism, these are homes you'd actually see next to each other in the real world. And the way they blend into the sidewalk is SO perfect, really fits the builds!! Builds like this, opposed to super common cleancut ones, feel so thought out and real. I'd love to see you do a longplay if you have the chance to make one!

Aw thank u! yay for the longplay!! sadly I don't really film gameplay stuff but I could film CAS videos of me making the sims if that sounds interesting :)
@@aluhhsim aww well I understand; especially having also been in living situations where it’s not always welcome or comfortable to do voiceovers or creative projects, but just know it would be exciting if it was ever something you wanted to do! So many creators & players including myself mostly focus on building & CAS, but imo gameplay could use some public testing, esp since it’s often glitchy & fun to laugh at & maybe EA will get the picture lol. But I’ll absolutely support & enjoy whatever you make; I love your style!

A real-time build would be nice. I just found your channel today, so I say do whatever makes you comfortable. I would say my limit for video-length is around 90 minutes, but at the same time I am aware that it usually takes longer to build

These are the types of sims builds I love, the grungy lived in realistic beat up houses - much preferred over the pretty mansions lol they remind me of dollhouses sometimes, I still like them but theses type are definitely preferred!

2:24 ooo the window ac unit from for rent would work perfectly as an extra homage to the reference photo, put time stamp in from when this thought popped into my head. i just took a quick sec to look at the reference photo. so I will update this comment if it is utilized later in this build (: so far so great!

You are a great storyteller. if you are not into filmmaking yet, you should consider that. You would do so well as a production designer, art director or director on set.

oml im silly, cuz I hear peoples idea's for drama like with how you described this sim family and I like it, it sounds fun to me, but when i try to impliment such things in my game, i just get anxiety about will I be able to fix their lives or will the poor pixel people crash and burn XD also random side note, I hope a stuff pack comes out for infants, cuz theres one for toddlers and kids and theres 2 kits for toddlers aswell but the lil infants dont have as much stuff and i'd rather not use cc so hopefully some new clothes and maybe nursery stuff will come out
haha i completely get that! I don't do to much gameplay with the sims so usually I am relieved from the pressure of actually playing it out LOL

I hate to say it,but for some reason this gives me The Sims 3 vibes🤷🏾♀️
honestly not mad about that, sims 3 is so nostalgic💛
cosplaying as being poor in sims is uhhhhh. my family manages to get by pretty well but i grew up in a poor neighborhood. lots of my friends from childhood/teenage years lived in messy homes with old furniture, they were ashamed of being poor and some got bullied. it’s not a „fun” thing to be be poor and bullied. it’s not silly gameplay it’s people’s lives.
imo it’s insensitive of you
