Spotted whilst scuba diving off Tenerife in March a Pyrosome colony - also known as Unicorns of the Seas or Sea Worms. Pyrosomes are not one living being, but a colony of thousands of mini-organisms.
This one was around 5m long

Indeed! So lucky to encounter this, just makes me realise how much more is out there to see!
Allah is the creator
Almost everything, it's hard to name one thing living that doesn't need water😊

You can tell how rare this is based on how old the video is because pyrosomes are constantly getting more common! It’s still uncommon to find one at this time so nice find!
Thank you! Must admit it was a lucky encounter!
I thought it glowed for a moment
Me too!

I learned about pyrosomes on RUclips. Had I seen one in real life before that, I would've identified it as plastic pollution.

So adorable!
It is in a way! 🥰
@@rebstriesitBro i can barely touch insects and you are here basically touching allien lifeforms
I just admit it wasn't me who touched it (I had the camera) although I did get close to see the structure of it! 😊
Keep your hands to yourself!
Yes, best not to touch any wildlife etc whilst diving!
….. the glowing is the divers torch pointing at it! Gonna Google this as I’ve never heard of them before
Yes it is! Was so cool to encounter - thanks for watching! :)
Fun fact: these guys are chordates!
Amazing!

Apart from beign an alien form of life, hehe, what it's supposed to be ?.
They’re a colony of zooids (single cell animals) that feed on plankton :)
They’re tubular as they move (very slowly) by propelling water through the tube
@@rebstriesit Correction, zooids are multicellular
