This is true! I wanted to get it out early to show the more fun side. The last episode has got me down if I’m telling the truth. I get that it didn’t come across well! But can’t change that now. Seen 1000’s of comments about it. Can only try & learn from it, move on & try to be better. (Guy)

I think you just got a bit Hung up on something that really isn't that important. How we as viewers perceive Pete or any other golf youtuber isn't really that big a deal and surely its down to the viewer to decide. I completely get the point you were trying to make but by doing so and drawing it out for so long and in the way you put it across was just a bit unnecessary. But a small blip in an otherwise amazing podcast really is nothing and I'm sure you will grow as a podcaster and learn from the mistake for the better!
Pete is even better and more likeable in long form podcasts.

Course vlogs may be “lazy content’ but it’s certainly very enjoyable to watch. I often rewatch previous matches and vlogs - it’s easy watching and great entertainment. Would still love to see a new second hand club challenge

there's only so many times i can watch "x illegal club review" **cough cough. But at least with course vlogs it brings the viewers along as if they are also able to get out for a round of golf. The course vlog is enjoyable just how a podcast and round of golf is, a little bit of banter and ease of enjoyment and it doesnt matter if its at your local course, country club or at a championship course

Agreed, except instead of a table it's on a golf course, and they set it up like The Match with cameras in the carts and just listening to them talk trash to each other and discuss golf strategy.
This is why Good Good Crew is doing so well. They don't have loser douche bags on their crew like Guy. I don't know what happened to Rick, but the old crew is missed. #GetRidOfGuy

I think the best videos Rick and Peter did was when they hold the camera for each other while they hit. I really like it when they played 18 holes and put up three or four video part

Thoroughly enjoyed this episode, everyone was relaxed and enjoyed it. Part 1, was difficult to watch at times, everyone looked uncomfortable, Pete in particular, and once that was out the way for Part 2, everything worked. I love Rick and Pete, so i am glad this episode shown how it's all been moved on from. Guy, 'shit happens', yeah, what you have said didnt come across well, we live and learn, hold our hands up and move on. Keep up the good work all!
Guy is giving a perspective that I am sure a ton of listeners share. I think he should keep coming at these topics from a fresh perspective. Great to see Rick and Pete back together. Mates for life for sure!

I agree, you can say podcasts are lazy! Simply sitting there having a chat is the easiest thing to do. They have openly stated they don’t even edit it and they air the podcast with limited editing.
Podcasts are lazy but they still do them because they get views. Work smart, not hard. They got their growth when they were doing course vlogs.

I must admit this part 2 podcast is so much better than part 1 its great to see rick and pete giving us a great insight to their past and how they met , cant wait to see rick and pete in action against each other again , great video guys look forward to the next one , please bring pete and sophie back again !

love the show, I think Guy needs to play less devils advocate. this show has a chill laid back feel and some of the questions come across aggressively. That's my only nitpick. Keep em comin!!
Rick I’ve thought this for a while, you need a couple of competitive tournament’s can’t be having Lumineer as the end of your playing ‘career’ also for a golfer as good as you it just doesn’t seem right to have it hanging over you.

What a change from the first episode with Pete. A lot more fun and could visibly see all three relax and be less tense.
A brilliant podcast. Well done Guy and Rick. Good decision to release this early as I did think the first part was a bit awkward. Normal service resumed.
Pete & Rick take for granted the on camera chemistry they have together. Something us long time fans of theirs know well from their early RUclips days. I realize it's never going to be like it was, or anywhere close to that. But I think they should make it a priority to do 2-3 collabs a year. Great stuff, very much enjoyed the chat!👍
👍👍 I think what made the first one seem so bad is that it was half of the total podcast of it was shown as 2 hours it wouldn’t of been an issue. Right decision get this one out ASAP 😂
This was a far easier watch than part 1 - Which was awkward. Importantly, opinions matter but we all have our own and it’s important to remember that. Good content, Guy maybe needed to express it better but in general they work well and I’m always happy to listen to them. Keep it up lads and keep trying Pete.
Good ideas from the podcast:
Pete: make a day of it: 18 🕳 matchplay in the morning, 18 🕳 stroke play in the afternoon, with a sudden death play-off if needed.
Pete: Crowds invited: I would pay a fee to charity to watch.
Guy: Rick has to enter a comp if he loses. Maybe Pete could have to do a podcast with Rick as a guest if he loses.
Can't wait for this clash of the RUclips Titans. 😁
Amazing to see the lads back together and set the record straight about still being mates. My girlfriend was worried that they were after falling out after seeing me watch so many of the videos of them playing together. She will sleep happy tonight 🤣.

Agreed. Much better episode in Pt 2. Finchy poking 'The Bulldog'! The 2nd hand club challenge is the Mack. The 2019 challenge was awesome to watch. The ending was madness. Can't wait to see you two back on the Golf Course together!
My favorite Rick Shiels era was during all of the course vlogs with the trio Rick Pete and Carter. Ive always super super enjoys Ricks course vlogs and was super bummed when they stopped showing up. The reason break 75 is working is because its the course vlog 2.0 Never shame the ole course vlog. Cheers mates glad to see you two chatting.
This podcast episode is what we want to tune into. The previous two, not so much. Look forward to the rematch, but add in Fryer and James Robinson Golf.
I had some choice words for you on the last episode Guy but this is the version of you that I’m a fan of. I hope that the last two episodes were just you on a bad day and you can continue to create great content like this.
Guy had some rough takes in the past couple but this is refreshing. Back to why I subscribe!

I feel I owe Guy an apology. Part 1 with P. Finch came across in a way you probably didn't intend, and in Pt 2, you do an excellent job of laying back and letting the two stars of the show(s) reveal why they're so close, only interjecting when absolutely necessary. So I take back my criticism of Pt 1 and say thanks to all three of you for giving us one of your best pods in a while. Can't wait for September!

I do think you guys are underestimating how many people would watch rick and Pete play golf again-whether it's a match, scramble, whatever! The GM Golf boys basically exclusively do matches, and I'm pretty sure their best-performing videos are the long running series of Garrett v. Micah-they play literally every Sunday, and they're on season 2! Pete and Rick have great chemistry on the course.
Loved seeing you guys back together talking it out, looking forward to the match! Can we get a bonus talking about the multiple Peter Finch's that got mentioned? My first golf lesson was with a Peter Finch so how many are there?!

I’ve only been playing for just over a year and that’s with all the lockdowns, ricks videos helped me massively with my game. And his club review shows have been the reason why I’ve spent £1300 on a new bag and clubs 😬

I've enjoyed the conversations and comments all of you have made. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and we don;t always have to agree with what another person thinks. You just can't speak on behalf of someone else and better to understand as much as you can.

This was a completely different podcast from the last one! Good on everyone, including Guy. I thought he was great in this episode. Hopefully, we can forget about the last two.
Love what Pete said about the World Handicap System. I've struggled for ages with the h'cap i was given by my club, but the new WHS system is showing my true capability and now I'm not afraid to enter comps anymore.

Excited for the September match! I genuinely enjoyed your old matches with Pete, Andy&Piers etc more then the recent content (which I still like). Once the pandemic is over I’d love to see you guys travel to states and record with other youtubers too, Bryan bros, Micah, Garret, maybe even Zac Radford. That would be some of the most epic RUclips golf.
I want to see a match, Rick and Pete and crew against the Good Good boys Ryder cup style in the US around the actual event. Lets make it happen.

Fair play to Guy for having the balls to go face to face with Pete over both podcasts after the “controversy” and also to stand by his opinions and clear it up rather than go back on it. Pete definitely seems like a really sound bloke and the chemistry between him and Rick is clear to see!

And on one of your episodes you were talking about the masters versus the open and how the masters is a little stodgy and Elitist, however, people in general love a hero and that’s why it’s so popular. It’s heroic and “Disney-like” and almost fake and so it’s an escape.
I’ve always loved everything English/British for whatever reason, the language and culture seems so debonair and so classy so after the masters I got to say that open is my favorite. Love the rotation and the courses are really nothing like the states.
I had bleached blond hair and two earrings in high school/university, so embarrassing now lol.
If Rick and Pete decide to have their next match in South Florida, I will absolutely be there. If I had the means, I'd travel across the pond to Europe to see it.

I know nothing about the views they generate, but the old course vlogs taught me a lot about course management strategies, imagining unconventional shots, how to deal with a bad shot etc, etc. Plus, the banter was entertaining and sometimes hysterical. (I've watched Night Golf in Turkey with the fox stealing Pete's putter cover half a dozen times and it still cracks me up). The Break 75 series was great. Loved it. But can you occasionally do a good old-fashioned course vlog with 2 or 3 guests? Thanks!
