A ton of people are crediting the Dark Knight & Logan for showing us how gritty comic book movies can be. That's pure horse shit The Crow did this before all, even the first 2 Michael Keaton movies dark as they tried to be The Crow makes those look like Saturday morning cartoons. If you love these dark hero movies, then show respect to Brandon Lee in The Crow that movie showed us that when it comes to comic movies that some may be bad... but it can't rain all the time.
That last sequence where Gordon gives the monologue as Batman goes off still gives me goosebumps every time i listen or watch it, i even got goosebumps watching it in this video. This movie was and is CINEMA at it's absolute BEST.
@@ak_buckets7962 rarely do I even notice the soundtrack/score of a movie but this was and still is the first score that I actually noticed throughout the film and that ending theme is just perfect and makes an already fantastic scene somehow even better
Every time he was on the scene, Joker caused a nervous silence in the theater, like "wtf this guy is gonna do now?" Unforgettable the impact he had on everyone watching it...
Christian Bale is my favorite batman. When anyone says Batman, my mind instantly goes to his movies. And Heath Ledger's Joker, I don't think anyone can beat that. And I grew up with these movies, so they will always be special to me. I'm not saying Christian Bale will always the best Batman like some people say for Tobey Maguire, I'm just saying it will always be special to me.
The Dark Knight is my favorite movie of all time. From the storytelling, action, performances of Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart, Heath Ledger, Gary Oldman, & yes the ending! It shows what it means to be a hero!!
Christopher Nolan's The-Dark-Knight-Trilogie (Batman) became a rare masterpiece of filmmaking. In film, acting, score/music, actors and actresses, script ... excellent! I hope you also talk about part 2 and 3. Cheers!
This film is so great, that it hurts. It's the Godfather of my generation, people are still discussing it in the internet after 14 years. _You changed everything,forever._ , Joker told to Nolan. True, after all.
Man whenever I see the dark knight's ending it just tears me up especially because of hans Zimmer's absolutely fabulous theme for the movie. The ending is just perfect!!
I love how Bale's Batman in The Dark Knight Trilogy manages to capture the message that Batman has to become a symbol to strike fear into those who use fear against innocents, but also as a symbol of hope to inspire good in the people of Gotham City. And by the looks of it in The Batman this message will also be addressed which I couldn't be happier to see.
This is still my favorite Batman film. I remember seeing this in theaters and having chills and waiting for the dedications in the credits to silently applaud. This trilogy made The Dark Knight real to me. Kind of like SMALLVILLE actually made me care more about the characters.
The Batman came veeeery close with a really strong sense of cinematography and film noir influence but boy after rewatching The Dark Knight, it still holds up as my favorite of the two. The story was a rare home run in this movie. The story for The Batman was still great but didn't nearly stick the landing imo. Here is hoping the sequel does to this new incarnation of Batman that The Dark Knight did to the Nolan films.
Great video. The one minute version is as follows. “This film had Christopher Nolan and besides these films, no other super hero movie has.” The end monologue gave me goose bumps again. Every time.
*The Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises are the two best comic book movies ever made. Nolan completely changed the game. Even Marvel fans (myself included) pay respect to this masterpiece of a trilogy.*
I would NEVER go THAT far for "Rises". It's immensely flawed. Also lost everything that made The Dark Knight so amazing. Liked it as a teen. Not as much now. The gritty Nolan style of 2000s. I am of the opinion the series should have ended at The Dark Knight .
I also love how, when Batman pushes Harvey off the ledge, the coin falls and lands on the side that was not burnt by the explosion, signifying Gordon's son living. That is just true and genius symbolism being used there.
I just watched the dark Knight the movie is great I love how it covers the actual villain don’t remember his name is it dent but I love how they cover up the fact that he’s becoming the villain with the joker heath ledger is absolutely amazing in this movie
Couldn't agree more with Paul from Heavy Spoiler's. I don't know much I've watched this ending scene over the year's. It's one of best ending I've seen in a film period. I love it so much I have contemplated having Gordon's words tattooed below my batman tattoo. I just hope the new batman is half as good as the Dark Knight then were on for a winner! Big up to the Heavy Spoiler's twins aswell!
I'm a big Marvel fan, have been since the late 70s but I have to say two 👍👍s up for this trilogy, especially *"The Dark Knight."* Now, seeing that it's twice I seen 4 actors won Oscars playing the same characters (Marlon Brando and Robert De Niro for Vito Coleone, Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix, Joker) I still hold a soft spot for Heath's Joker, even though Joaquin was fantastic.
TDK is by far my most favorite batman movie (haven't watched The Batman yet) but i'd be more impressed with Nolan's trilogy if bruce continued to be batman after dent's death. He's only like batman for 2-3 years before the events of TDK Rises. Kinda disappointing because TDK's ending describe him as a silent guardian, a watchful protector but he abandoned it all. 😢
“So we’ll hunt him, because he can take it” that is so awesome and just shows Batman’s awesomeness. And I love the silent guardian a watchful protector
I like that Batman showed a little bit of fear when Joker said his ace in the hole was Harvey. The line "what did you do?" was delivered so well. It was quiet but played brilliantly into Joker's response.
"You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain", "if you are good at something never do it for fee", "When an unstoppable force meets an immovable object", The quotes alone are mind-blowing
Harvey dent ( two face ) covered for Bruce Wayne ( Batman ) when the people of Gotham demanded Batman to reveal himself .. once Two face died it was time for Batman to return the favor and he took cover for Harvey dent and became a villain .. OMG! Right! I'm not even a minute in & I gotta say the ending of dark knight should of somehow been the final ending even though I love rises ending as well.
This really was a perfect ending for a phenomenal film. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on The Batman. I very much enjoyed it. I hope you do too. Cheers!🍻
The Batman is not better than the tdk. Tdk is not only the best superhero movie of all time but one of the best movies of all time. The Batman was still really good though
After seeing The Batman, I thought that it is better than The Dark Knight only because it has better fight scenes and I really dig the aesthetic of the movie..however, after watching this video, you reminded me that how The Dark Knight is a more superior film..
