I was there live and this was my first festival, my first tml and my first shm... Glad to tell you this formed my love for the genre 😍 One of the best experiences in my life.

DJing is a skill that a lot of Producers/"DJ" don't bother to think about............ back in the 90's being a superstar DJ meant being a superstar DJ! not a superstar producer... now people will only come to their shows if they have produced a hit... not because they've gained fame from their DJing skills... it's sad but true!!! SMH are one of the few mainstream electronic artists that can really DJ.. they put together authentically amazing sets...
There was a time, when Axwell wore a snapback, Angello wore jogging pants and ppl just came to rave, without bringing flaggs, crazy costumes or plastic hammers..miss the old time.
I do agree with you, you are supposed to enjoy and live the moment, but there's nothing wrong with taking a picture or a video for 30 seconds, the problem is whe this behavior is excessive and you are there just to show off and not enjoy the music. (Btw I hardly even take the cellphone when I am at festivals) I miss the old, gold days of EDM! Hope 2022 is gonna be a better year!

EDM used to have a different vibe 10 years ago. I feel like today many people come to visit Tomorrowland just to say the have been there and not because of the music they want to enjoy. It’s literally a pity, I seriously miss this golden era of EDM.
Since Tomorrowland hit mainstream, the mainstage is trash but other stages are still very good and the crowd have different vibe there. This year there was a lot of very good sets on Freedom stage and Crystal Garden, Mathame set is one of the best, last 15 minutes of their set is magical with great energy from the crowd. I was really suprised how great was Like Mike set on crystal garen, he was just blasting good progressive house music without talking bullshit to microphone and crowd was enjoying it a lot.
