This is what happens when you have a stage full of great musicians who can successfully walk that magical line between keeping the groove together and spilling over into chaos. It's electric.
The whole world needed to be here, I was. The feeling of love was overwhelming. Maxi was more than just a frontman, he was more than a philosopher. He was me, you and everybody who _listened._ RIP Maxi, I will never forget this night.
Rest in Peace Maxi Jazz. Brought a level of spiritual integrity and sincerity to dance music and created the sound track for the turn of the century in the process. Legend.
First time I heard this song/band from clicking on a "random" RUclips video for the song title alone. I almost turned it off, "Don't really wan't to listen to 8 minutes of this spoken word stuff." Then the bass player came on - "Jesus, he's playing that bass like it's a weapon." Genius lyrics, genius level musicians - the lot of them. Fantastic energy.
Then you ain't seen many bands. His voice is so weak compared to their recorded material. I saw him live in Sheffield years ago and was blown away at how poor he was. Music: 10/10 Voice live: 1/10
RIP Maxwell, you'll be missed. I've seen you perform live several time and had the honour of working with you twice. Here is to you, have a rave up there for us
I had ordered tickets for this concert. Booked a flight and the hotel in London. It was a beloved gift for my wife. We were really looking forward to this event. And then it cracked ... my spine took a lot of damage. Three months out of order ... I couldn't do anything anymore. Lie in bed and swallow pain pills. When I watch these videos today, tears come to my eyes. Many years later I saw Faithless again. First in Cologne and then on the last tour of these band in Düsseldorf. Unforgettable .... and now I am 66 years old. 😊
Imagine you lay down, sit or stand. Once you hear this track, you loose control of your feet trying to follow that bassline, your hands following the drums until all your body moves and shakes. Maxi will never be forgotten.
Absolutely gutted when I found out. RIP Max. Thank you, along with the rest of Faithless, for producing some of the best songs ever for example insomnia, god is a dj , and we come one to name but a few !!! 😔😮💨
Im 63 this year, i am so lucky i have been listening to Faithless for what seems like a millenium, and i will keep listening to them till my last breath, you are sadly missed Maxi Jazz, love from Australia...
Listen from cancer unit here in Ireland . Have always loved this band , amazing magical music. So much energy . I find it great to just have my headphones on and let the sounds carry me away to the time I saw them live in London , 1998. I was brought to the concert by some good friends . I had sadly lost my fiancée and our unborn baby , a reckless driver hit them from the side and the impact took away my future and all my dreams . I was a young man and time never took away the scar , I just don't pick it , as then I bleed . Anyhow thanks for the music FAITHLESS ... And thanks for reading this . Enjoy your lives and dont take even breathing for granted . ❤❤ Love to all FAITHLESS FANS ...
It is extremely rare that pieces like this come out of nowhere, they are so unbelievably good that one gets the impression that they are not from this world. Everything is just right with them: the soul, the bassline, the mix, the vocals - everything. They take you into another world, let you forget everyday life for a moment, no matter how dark it may be. These pieces have a spirit that makes that possible. And I'm thankful to be able to find such rare gems here, because compared to these dreamlike tracks, what's in the charts is absolute rubbish.... Thanks - and RIP Maxi!
Then the bass player came on - "Jesus, he's playing that bass like it's a weapon." Genius lyrics, genius level musicians - the lot of them. Fantastic energy.
Every time the synth ruthlessly kicks in I still have shivers along the back of my skull and down my spine - I guess I still have the chemicals in my brain- God I miss it all - reach out to me all you ex ravers I need a hug 🤗
I'll be 53 this year and still listening this magical music, was lucky to see and hear them live twice. One of my favorite bands ever. Thank you so much for these timeless tracks, you are my God!
Even as a little kid when I didn't understood a single word in English I felt this music was special and always was a fan. Even yesterday I listened to Insomnia several times and today I saw the news. Rest in peace legend, you'll be missed.
This song by Faithless and his band just blows my mind,I've never seen such energy put into one song in all my seventy years on this earth,it is just excellent, thank you Faithless from the bottom of my heart and peace be with everybody. Regards, Doug Hughes, Williamstown, Australia

Faithless tunes were the banging soundtrack to a lot of my life and still sound as good now as they did then. First time I saw them was at Leeds Poly where the power cut out in the middle of the set. Maxi came to the front of the stage and continued Acapella style, rapping about being there doing the gig without any power - awesome! Loved him and Faithless from then on. Total star! 🌟
Simply beautiful. Rest easy my friend. You've been in my ears for 20+ years. I feel your influence on newer artists too. So in that sense you will never be forgotten.
Absolute FANTASTIC Performance from the Band 👍👍👍R.I.P. lovely Maxi Jazz... You'll be in our Hearts FOREVER... GOD IS A DJ and YOU are a fantastic Artist and Person... Forever ❤❤❤
Gosh, tears are running down my cheeks seeing Maxi Jazz during a concert. A benevolent, spiritual, genius, charismatic rapper then singer with lots of alliterations, assonances and lexical fields in stylistic. A great poet of métaphysics...RIP from France
Sleep well maxi. The world is a sadder place without you.
I‘m so sorry and sad. Stay well forever…😢🎉❤
