Now, 12 years later I can say that I've been able to live my passion for electronic music vigorously, not only I've attended Tomorrowland but also some other festivals like Ultra or EDC and last week I saw Eric Prydz's HOLO and he played Mirage. Listening to Mirage immediately took me back in time these 12 years and all I've lived ever since, and I couldn't feel happier. What a great memory Prydz gave, I cried of joy.

I still remember when this aftermovie first came out it was the first time I'd ever heard about Tomorrowland. A friend of mine told me I had to watch and when I did it blew my mind! I'd never seen an event so incredible and I straight away said to her we're going next year! Then on the day the tickets for 2012 went on sale I took the day off work and bought the tickets at the very moment they became available without any hesitation. Her and I flew from New Zealand and it was the most magical place. This is a place where dreams become reality.
2011-2012 was right when EDM was peaking at the height of its popularity. For those of us who had listened to trance and techno since the 90s, it felt like "our" music had finally been recognized. But now it's 2016, I haven't heard a good beat in months, and all of the new EDM just feels like reprocessed mainstream garbage.
+Patriotis 2011-2012 was very electroish and anthemy, house was really the late 80s and early 90s. Also +GTOAviator, most trance and techno fans weren't that happy, because this definitely wasn't there style and the peak of trance was pretty much the late 90s and 00s. The Tomorrowland era kinda ended the whole trance era.

I watch this video in 2012, my English professor showed to the entire class, in that moment I fell in love with EDM, I was like 10 years old and I truly say that this video changed my life. I still dream to go there, is like one of the biggest dream I have.
I watched all the aftermovies of Tomorrowland and seriously Tomroowland 2011 had the best crowd without a doubt. The people looked just so excited just for dancing and jumping instead of using smartphones all the time. 2012 was epic as well. 2013 was above average and 2014 and 15 was really poor. I hope something better happens in 2016.

As you said everyone was jumping instead of using smartphones and everyone was truly enjoying it from the heart. You could feel energy, excitement and love everywhere around you. When you look at Tomorrowland 2013, 2014 ,2015 ( and not just Tomorrowland but other festivals worldwide too) you can see how completely unnatural it is. Music is completely mess and nonsense, people are brainwashed following just what's popular because they wanna be IN. Everything popular became more important then what's right. Money ruined it all. It happens everytime when marketing becomes more important then the festival itself. I was at Tomorrowland in 2011,2012 and 2014 and the last one was just disappointment. It wasn't the Tomorrowland i knew. I'm glad i could be part of very last 2 real editions of Tomorrowland and i will never forget. Tomorrowland died for me but will always stay in my heart. Forever.

You can't make a trip to Tomorrowland, Belgium for 400$ anymore, even if you live in Europe. Speaking as a European, if you wanna go to Tomorrowland these days it will cost you about 800$ ( including everything - flight tickets, regular festival tickets, food/drinks ). If you travel from oversea it will cost you over 2000$.

2011-2012 was right when EDM was peaking at the height of its popularity. For those of us who had listened to trance and techno since the 90s, it felt like "our" music had finally been recognized. But now it's 2016, I haven't heard a good beat in months, and all of the new EDM just feels like reprocessed mainstream garbage.
+Patriotis 2011-2012 was very electroish and anthemy, house was really the late 80s and early 90s. Also +GTOAviator, most trance and techno fans weren't that happy, because this definitely wasn't there style and the peak of trance was pretty much the late 90s and 00s. The Tomorrowland era kinda ended the whole trance era.
+Hugo Hakvoort when did trance die? What was its peak era? Wasn't it 1999-2005 ? I think so.
szymusiek1980 Trance never died, but if there is a period trance 'died' it was definitely after 1996, that's when the traditional trance sound was replaced by the more accessible uplifting and progressive sounds.

I watch this video in 2012, my English professor showed to the entire class, in that moment I fell in love with EDM, I was like 10 years old and I truly say that this video changed my life.
I still dream to go there, is like one of the biggest dream I have.

I watched all the aftermovies of Tomorrowland and seriously Tomroowland 2011 had the best crowd without a doubt. The people looked just so excited just for dancing and jumping instead of using smartphones all the time. 2012 was epic as well. 2013 was above average and 2014 and 15 was really poor. I hope something better happens in 2016.

You're so right mate. Till 2013 Tomorrowland was truly amazing event. The people, the music and everything around the festival was just natural and real. As you said everyone was jumping instead of using smartphones and everyone was truly enjoying it from the heart. You could feel energy, excitement and love everywhere around you. When you look at Tomorrowland 2013, 2014 ,2015 ( and not just Tomorrowland but other festivals worldwide too) you can see how completely unnatural it is. Music is completely mess and nonsense, people are brainwashed following just what's popular because they wanna be IN. Everything popular became more important then what's right. Money ruined it all. It happens everytime when marketing becomes more important then the festival itself. I was at Tomorrowland in 2011,2012 and 2014 and the last one was just disappointment. It wasn't the Tomorrowland i knew. I'm glad i could be part of very last 2 real editions of Tomorrowland and i will never forget. Tomorrowland died for me but will always stay in my heart. Forever.
Bro I heard Tomorrowland 2016 Brazil was a good one. But I am sure it will never match 2011 and 2012 ones. And can you say the costs for going there. I seriously wanted to know

In 2011 the whole trip cost us about $400 including V.I.P. tickets. In 2012 $700 including regular tickets and in 2014 $800-900 including regular tickets. Right now only ONE regular ticket cost about $400.
What provisions do you get on the regular tickets? Does the flight costs and living there comes under 400$? Thanks

Provisions? Don't know what provisions you get i'm afraid. I stopped watching Tomorrowland 2 years back. Check Tomorrowland official website for the info. You can't make a trip to Tomorrowland, Belgium for 400$ anymore, even if you live in Europe. Speaking as a European, if you wanna go to Tomorrowland these days it will cost you about 800$ ( including everything - flight tickets, regular festival tickets, food/drinks ). If you travel from oversea it will cost you over 2000$.
