I am having issue with my controller working, and Special K UI or overlay showing up.

hmm... what controller is it? Could be a windows update issue, or a video driver issue. Try running display driver uninstaller and doing a clean uninstall. I have an xbox controller that works fine. also, if you did any registry tweaks to force exclusive fullscreen, undo them. it breaks overlays and in general, windows 10 and 11 don't like it when you do this, it fucks up how it's supposed to work. if you have another kind of controller, you can find fixes on pcgamingwiki.

It's not a perfect fix by any means, but it can help. Ymmv

I think when you hit groups of enemies the game stops intentionally. It’s called hit stun it’s really aggressive in this game
