Do you think there is any use for the zealot cloak(10% damage boost that stacks each time you hit an ally with an area attack)? Only thing I can think of is to have a secondary set with weak area weapons that you bonk your buddies with at the start but that in itself seems like a waste, like the idea of a cruel taskmaster but doubt it could be efficient.
I was always wondering how to utlize her. Now I know thanks bro 👍❤

tips:
if playing with plasma weapons, set Jae 1 cell away from her allies in formation (overheating damage)
-officer buffs her (VoC, AoA)
-first activate Fervour, then Press the Advantage, the AoE attacks (plasma overcharge), keep attacking x2 (gunslinger talent, pair holster gear)
-activate Finest Hour (on Cassia)
-turn goes back to Jae (Fervour, Inspire, Press the Advantage, attack again)

Another great build! I'd love to see how you handled Chaos Marine Aurora on unfair. That is the only fight I ever had problems with the entire game. (I discovered that if you quick save and quick load during party positioning turn, he'll skip his first turn, which allows you to deal with the sniper and debuff him/buff your own party. But that's an exploit, of course.)

For me it was by abusing Seize the Initiative and forcing him to attack Abelard through Bring it Down + Charge.
After his initial attack, it's pretty simple to handle him.
Argenta as a Sniper meanwhile took care of the enemy's own Sniper!

Its very easy kill the sniper nuke him down, position cassia to deal with the trash mobs while sniping him down with idra and the others.
@@Riftmaker17 I can kill him just fine. The problem is killing Aurora + the sniper on the first turn. Aurora immediately starts destroying the shuttles as soon as the second turn starts. I want to save all the shuttles, which means I have to kill Aurora on the first turn. I have not managed to do that on unfair. Too beefy.
@@bleakwalker i don't think anything can 1 shot him also i don't think there is a point of saving all the shuttles you will not get anything extra from it.
This is interesting, thank you for this. Just a heads-up, I honestly think that her unique passive is actually bugged. This could be up to interpretation, but the passive stating "attack from second hand does not cost extra AP" I *think* is supposed to refer to the dual-weapon combat +AP cost, instead of making the attack completely free.
At the time being, it works as it does, but I would not be surprised if it gets changed at some point.
how did it work for you? if ever, the second shot costs at least the regular AP, but I never happened to have to luck that you could shoot several times. does it depend on regular round and not on extra rounds?
So do i take the fellowship on level 20 if i have another officer or when i don't?
Tip for future videos. Don't focus every build based on other classes (officers). Try to make the characters as good as possible by themselves. They will still benefit from officers but also be good for players who want to avoid the officer abuse.
Could a gunsligner build like this work for the Main character or in some way? I've played RT the actual tabletop before and made my Pilot Character into a duel wielding pistolier but dont see a real way to make it work here aside from Jae which kinda sucks
master tactician really op with the damage boost abilities can make the weakest weapons obliterate enemies. Its pathfinders skald and bard on steroids.

i am so using this
I like to use Jae as an armor tank rather than a dodge character, since there are two armor items she can exploit the literal crap out of! The Helm of Determination requires Iconoclast, but gives a small bonus to fellowship and gives 2x fel bonus to armor. The Saint Cognatius's Scriptures accessory gives +20 lore (imperium) and gives armor and extra damage% vs xenos and daemons equal to lore (imperium) / 10. With these items Jae can reach 100% armor in just light armor, simply by stacking fellowship and lore (imperium) which also scales off her fellowship. But give her heavy armor proficiency, and hoo boy!
it is worth mentioning that this build will only work with the item "Pair Holster" - at least for me. without "Pair Holster" I coudn't combo my attacks as shown in the video. anyway - a great build as usual!

Where can you find the Pair Holsters? I already searched every inch of shadow quarters and couldn't find it

How are you able to take Fellowship and Ballistic Skill twice for her? I am only allowed to take both characteristics once, and then they become unavailable. Same for Yrliet. I always assumed that was a bug, but it is not yet fixed for me.

Aren't companion convictions bugged at the moment? Jae has 0 Iconoclast so I cant equip the Iconoclast gear on her.

Since I'm using Toybox, and since my main character is an officer along with Cassia, would you respec her as an Operative to focus her even more as a Gunslinger, or are there things from her Officer talents that affect her damage?
Soldier-arch militant I'm sure would go super hard, just swapping between a bust and an area attack every attack would get you plenty of stacks

That would depend on what other skills your party is covering.
Jae can excel at many skills, ideally Lore Xenos & Lore Imperium, which the rest of my party doesn't tend to go for.
But you can also go for the classic Fellowship skill like Commerce, Persuasion & Coercion (or just 1 of them if you want).
Holy smoke! I did 2 unfair run, and always thought she’s the most useless companion.
At first I thought she would be bad due to no Officer Talent customization, but her unique talents are really powerful!
Officer time piece, from the first faction, makes her move first. My Jae had 100% armour and 150% dodge as well, with light armour, a helmet that gives armour for fellowship and the trinket that gives armour for lore imperium, if I recall.
I just found a similar exploit on last fight in act 3, I dunno if it works everywhere or just here. (or maybe it was just my game) but moving far back during deployment phase then auto save, then start fight and then reload. When it load you will be where you were when you saved but you can move again. So you can keep moving back further and further back.

you should asap spend your heroic act if you are at 200..otherwise your wasting momentum..if you continue killing..so you should shoot on enimies you soften up and not kill

This game is terrible. It's so buggy, it's just another GW cash grab from their IP that is done very terribly half-baked. Just another terrible game in their long line of terrible games do not buy this game do not look at it it's just f****** terrible. I'm so sick and tired of buying this s*** games from GW. The books are great though...
Games Workshop didn't make this game, they made a deal with Owlcat games, developers of good CRPGs like the Pathfinder games, to make this game using their IP. Yes, the game's very buggy right now, unfortunately, but Owlcat is still patching it. Everything else about the game - art, sound, music, dialogue, plot - is well made and shows a lot of effort.
I and many, many other people already put in more than a hundred hours in this game, and had fun *most* of the time. It is buggy, and it doesn't do enough to respect your time. It does let you skip cutscenes, but sometimes you have to go through a couple loading screens to get back to your ship after you've cleared an area - that should be fixed. After they fix all the bugs, and make all these items and abilities work like they're supposed to.
Game is great to me.

I thought to myself ""you know maybe this person's right"". So I open The game back up it's a buggy f****** wrack. I want to like this game it makes me want to bash my head through a window. 5 minutes into it I've restart it twice. I just want to play the game and it's annoying this game is a wreck, it's a disaster I wish I could get my money back.
