Thanks for the review guys and a great addition with Sean. Shame that this racquet has less control than the Graphene Radical Pro which is my racquet of choice.
Might not be Michelle's favorite racquet but based on the highlights, this is the best I've ever seen Michelle play. Very tempting racquet to try since I also play with the RF97A as well.
Tried it a few days ago entirely agree with Michelle; forehand was amazing , touch shots no good and backhand was meh. You indeed need to got for bigger targets as well with this racket, I tried to do very fine down the line slices a few times ball just sailed towards the back fence and I barely hit the ball.
Enjoyed the video. This is one of the racquets I'm considering. Could you please tell me what gauge of Volkl Cyclone and what overgrip you were using? Thanks!
@S Ro, It was 16 gauge Volkl Cyclone, and Head Prime Overgrip. www.tennis-warehouse.com/Volkl_Cyclone_16_String/descpageACVOLKL-VCYC.html. www.tennis-warehouse.com/Head_Prime_Overgrip_3_Pack/descpageHEAD-HPRIME.html. Troy, TW
This HEAD RADICAL TOUCH GRAPHENE PRO racket is firmer than previous versions, such as YOUTEK IG (310g), AND A microgel (315 GRAMAS)? HEAD RADICAL TOUCH GRAPHENE PRO touch (310 grams), put more ball weight than Microgel(315 grams)?
@Rodrigo Lana, This Head Graphene Touch Radical Pro, is firmer/stiffer than the Head YOUTEK IG Radical Pro, but not as stiff as the Extreme Pro. I would say that the "ball weight", or what we like to refer to as plow through of the Graphene Touch Radical Pro is just as good, if not better than the Extreme Pro. Troy, TW
Hi, I need to know if the previous model (Head Radical Pro Graphene XT) and this model share the same grommets, because I'm turning crazy trying ti find the grommets of the Touch one. Thank you very much!!!
Hi. Please, can you compare this with the Prince phantom 100(o Ports), textreme tour 100p (2015) and extreme mp Graphene Touch? Wich of them have more control, better directional control and you think is and overall better racquet from 1 to 4? Thanks for your time!!!
@esteban francisco izeta, From most control to least: Prince Phantom 100, Textreme Tour 100P, Touch Radical Pro, and Touch Extreme MP. It depends on who you ask, as to which is the best. Both the Textreme Tour 100P, and Touch Radical Pro offer a good blend of power and control. The Phantom 100 is the most control oriented, and the Touch Extreme MP is the most powerful. Troy, TW
Hi TW, how this compares to the Babolat Pure Strike 98 16x19? I am looking for a 98 Sq inch racket which offers me a bit more accuracy and control than my Babolat Pure Aero, not a whole lot. I've tested the Pure Strike and I had to string it at as a Hybrid to make it more powerful as it was too dead with a full bed of Hyper G (I usually play with Solinco Hyper G 16 full bed on my Pure Aero at 50 tension) but after using the same tension, but Hyper G in the mains and Multi Filament on the cross, same tension, I've notice that my service were not as fast and I had to put a lot more effort. I am looking for a racket in between the Pure Aero and the Pure Strike. Thanks.
@juanchoja, This Radical Pro packs a decent amount of power, partly due to the avg. swingweight of 330. It is definitely worth a demo, but I can't say for certain that it will have more power than the Pure Strike 98 16x19. A couple of other racquets I would consider, are the Prince Textreme Beast 98, and Dunlop Srixon Revo CV 3.0 F Tour. Troy, TW
Tennis warehouse, would you recommend this racket or the Wilson blade 98l with added lead tape, I am a younger player looking for good controlled power, if the blade where should I put the tape?
I would go with a lighter spec than the Radical Pro. The Blade 98L is a good choice. I would try it out in stock form, and decide to add weight from there. 3 and 9 o'clock, and a little in the handle are good places to add weight. Troy, TW
I have a question. Sometimes on the website there is a racquet for "sale" but when I click on it I cant select a grip size making me think its not for sale. Sooooooo are they or are they not for sale?
@HIEPO123, Which racquet are you looking at? There is a chance it has recently sold out and we don't have any others available. Also, sometimes we will just have a used version of that racquet left to sell. Feel free to contact our Customer Service Department and we should be able to help you out! Michelle, TW
@HIEPO123, It is likely due to the fact that we either have, or recently had a used version available for sale. When we post a used racquet for sale, it will also show up under the list of racquets, for each brand. For instance, the red and black Pro Staff 97, we have one used version available for purchase, www.tennis-warehouse.com/usedcatpage.html?ccode=WILSONRACS. Troy, TW
@Thomas Trotta, The Touch Radical Pro packs more plow through, stability, and has a bit more controlled response. The Touch Extreme MP is a bit more maneuverable, and has a more lively response. Troy, TW
Hey TW! I recently had tennis elbow while I was playing with my Wilson ProStaff 90. I was wondering if this Radical Pro is a good choice or will I get stuck with elbow problems just like before. Also how do you compare this stick to the Babolat Pure Strike 16x90 (ProjectOne7)? Thanks in advance!
@Sérgio Gomes, This Graphene Touch Radical Pro definitely has a larger sweet-spot, and more power than the Wilson Pro Staff 90. We found the comfort of this Radical Pro to be decent, but it is still somewhat of a firm racquet. The Pure Strike 16x19 is also a pretty firm racquet, but will also have a larger sweet-spot than the Pro Staff 90. If you are looking for a high level of comfort, I would consider the Prince Phantom Pro 100P racquet. Another racquet I would consider is the Yonex VCORE Duel G 97 (310g). Troy, TW
@Josh Henderson, These racquets can suit a variety of playing styles, but likely best for baseliners to all-court players. These new Radicals are what we consider a modern-player type of racquet racquet. They are on the control side of the spectrum, but with much easier access to power than your traditional player type of racquet (think classic Prestige or classic Wilson Pro Staff). I would recommend these racquets to players in the NTRP 4.0 and above level, that mostly play at the baseline, like to mix up pace and spin, and also feel competent at net. Troy, TW
@Tommy Torence, The main difference is the feel and stiffness, being that the weight/swingweight has remained pretty similar between the two versions of the radical pro. This Graphene Touch Radical Pro has a stiffer, more powerful response, and is pretty muted and dampened, due to the Graphene Touch technology. The IG Radical Radical Pro has a more classic feeling flex, and better responsiveness/feedback when striking the ball. Troy, TW
Hi Andy, how are you? When you are going to be reviewing the ProKennex Ki Q+Tour (300)? I have been waiting patiently. Regards from Colombia to the TW team.
@Will Jerkins, Ever since we concluded the playtest for the Dunlop Srixon Revo CX 2.0 Tour 18x20, and I dialed in the specs with some added weight, it has been my go to racquet. I still love the play-ability of the Six One 95 18x20, but it seems that Wilson will no longer be stocking us with it. Troy, TW
Hi TW, I️ was looking to buy some new tennis shoes and was wondering what is the main difference between a clay court and hard court shoe? And would clay court shoes work on the hard courts? Thanks and great review once again! :)
@Devin Blackburn, The main difference is the outsole. With clay court specific shoes, there is a full herringbone tread pattern, which has very fine ridges which help grab the clay. With hard court shoes, there is more of a modified herringbone pattern, which is usually thicker and more dense. I typically don't recommend using clay court shoes on a hard court, because you won't have good traction, and the fine ridges will wear down relatively fast. Troy, TW
Hi there, this is Ryan from China, I just wanna knwo if there was any possibility that your guys could forward me with the script of this Radical review through email? I'm going to translate the video, and post it on the Chinese website, hoping more people would watch it.
@沈一飞, Ryan, I'm sorry we don't offer Chinese translations at this time for our videos and we don't use scripts for our videos. Also, you are more than welcome to share our video, but it is considered copyright infringement if you take our content without our permission. Thanks, Michelle, TW
Hi Troy from TW, I am going to purchase either the new Head Graphene 360 Speed Pro or the Head Graphene Touch Radical Pro. How do they compare and which do you prefer or that you will recommend me purchasing? I currently use the Yonex Ezone 2018 and the Head graphene XT MP LTD. Also can you recommend some polyester or hybrid strings to use and tension. I have used Solinco hyper G @ 54 pounds but found it to dead. I am thinking of Signum Pro Yellow Jacket. Can you reccomend other suggestions of polyester or hybrid string that are in your top 5 that'll pair well with the above head racquets. Thanks.
@Vortex Designs, The 360 Speed Pro is more maneuverable, and has a bit better predictability on shots. I also found that the feel is a bit crisper, and responsive with the Speed Pro. The Touch Radical Pro packs more stability, and plow through on the ball. It has a more muted, and dampened response. It feels more control oriented, but was less predictable on my shots. I was surprised to find that overall I prefer the 360 Speed Pro, because the specs wouldn't typically indicate that. Troy, TW
@Vortex Designs, Some polys that I recommend are, Yellow Jacket, Cyclone, MSV Focus Hex +38, ISOSPEED Cream, Ytex Quadro Twist, Signum Pro X-Perience. All of which are softer, and should provide some more liveliness compared to Hyper-G. I also prefer stringing Hyper-G lower than 54 pounds. For hybrids, I prefer round polys, such as Signum Pro Poly Plasma, Topspin Cyberflash, Tourna Bit Hitter Silver, Kirschbaum Pro Line X. For cross strings, I would go with something like Gosen AK Pro CX, Head Synthetic Gut PPS, or Babolat Synthetic Gut. Troy, TW

What can I use to clean the tennis racket? Can you use silicone that applies on bike, which does not damage plastic or rubber? Could it be applied before stranding? The silicone would be that of the link below: ruclips.net/video/ASfEQQDX-Is/видео.html
@Rodrigo Lana, We have never tried using something like that on a racquet. If I ever need to clean off a racquet, specifically if I am changing the grommets/bumper, then I will use some sort of cleaning wipes, such as the green works by clorox. It doesn't seem to cause any damage to my racquets. Troy, TW
Well usually with poly you can get great control even into the upper 40s, the deadness of poly let’s you rip right into the ball confidently and offers great targeting control all around.
I love the new playtester he is very informative and gives plenty advice for players like me.
I tried this yesterday. Troy and Sean's comments were spot on.
Beast mode, Michelle! Absolutely launched those winners. Great review by Sean, too!
That left hand volley by Michelle at 1:28, what a queen
1:28 lefty smash
Michelle, loving the color coordination of eye shadow and racquet beam colorway ;-)
Thanks for the review guys and a great addition with Sean. Shame that this racquet has less control than the Graphene Radical Pro which is my racquet of choice.
I liked how informative Shaun(?) was:)
You guys should throw some serve data into the Playsight stuff.
Mshel lost alot of weight=moving well and making shots 👍🏻
Might not be Michelle's favorite racquet but based on the highlights, this is the best I've ever seen Michelle play. Very tempting racquet to try since I also play with the RF97A as well.

well well well Michelle, I see you've been working out and getting slim :) Good on you!
Recommended string for this racquet plx.
Enjoyed the video. This is one of the racquets I'm considering. Could you please tell me what gauge of Volkl Cyclone and what overgrip you were using? Thanks!

It was 16 gauge Volkl Cyclone, and Head Prime Overgrip.

This HEAD RADICAL TOUCH GRAPHENE PRO racket is firmer than previous versions, such as YOUTEK IG (310g), AND A microgel (315 GRAMAS)?

Correcting, I meant RADICAL MIGROGEL PRO, instead of EXTREME.
Many thanks for the tip, I understand, thank you for your attention.
Hi, I need to know if the previous model (Head Radical Pro Graphene XT) and this model share the same grommets, because I'm turning crazy trying ti find the grommets of the Touch one. Thank you very much!!!
Yes, those two are interchangeable. If you want to add a lot of swingweight to your racquet, you could also use the Radical Pro CAP Grommet. Troy, TW
Hi. Please, can you compare this with the Prince phantom 100(o Ports), textreme tour 100p (2015) and extreme mp Graphene Touch? Wich of them have more control, better directional control and you think is and overall better racquet from 1 to 4? Thanks for your time!!!

Hey how to compare this raquet with the head touch extreme mp? Which is more powerfull?
@Thomas Trotta,
The Touch Radical Pro packs more plow through, stability, and has a bit more controlled response. The Touch Extreme MP is a bit more maneuverable, and has a more lively response.
Troy, TW
Hey TW, how does this racquet compare to the Yonex EZONE DR 98 (310g)?
@Skyelar Ng,
This Radical Pro has a firmer feel, more power, and is a bit less maneuverability compared to the DR 98 (310g).
Troy, TW
Tennis Warehouse thank you Troy!
Hey TW!
I recently had tennis elbow while I was playing with my Wilson ProStaff 90. I was wondering if this Radical Pro is a good choice or will I get stuck with elbow problems just like before.

@Sérgio Gomes,
This Graphene Touch Radical Pro definitely has a larger sweet-spot, and more power than the Wilson Pro Staff 90.
Troy, TW
hey TW what style of play would you say the Head racquets are built for?
@Josh Henderson,
These racquets can suit a variety of playing styles, but likely best for baseliners to all-court players. These new Radicals are what we consider a modern-player type of racquet racquet. how would you compare this to the youtek ig radical pro?
@Tommy Torence,
The main difference is the feel and stiffness, being that the weight/swingweight has remained pretty similar between the two versions of the radical pro. Yes, Volkl Cyclone 16 Fluo Orange.

Think we need to see some more believable returns that aren’t to the middle of the court.
Good racquet
When did troy switch rackets
@Will Jerkins,
Ever since we concluded the playtest for the Dunlop Srixon Revo CX 2.0 Tour 18x20, and I dialed in the specs with some added weight, it has been my go to racquet. I still love the play-ability of the Six One 95 18x20, but it seems that Wilson will no longer be stocking us with it.
Troy, TW
Tennis Warehouse sorry to hear that about wilson. I myself just switch from a custom burn 100 to a rf97
Tennis Warehouse that is very similar if not exact same as my Dunlop F2.0 tour
so were not gonna talk about how she switched hands and hit a left handed volley, 5 points for style lol
@Preston Smith,
Hahah thanks for the style points :)
