    Great and interesting video. Please do more of these direct comparisons (for example a comparison between the Wilson Pro Staff and ProKennex Ki Black Ace Pro or Wilson Blade 98 16x19 v8 and Head Graphene 360+ Radical Pro).
    I will try that string setup and tension on my ProKennex Ki Black Ace Pro.

    ET was one of the few racquets I've tried that I truly just could not find any love for. Radical MP and Pro were excellent. I found the ET to lack power and spin, sweetspot seemed small. I found the Radicals to be more forgiving and created more spin. I tried the ET twice... once when it first came out and then a few months ago thinking maybe I just got a bad one (out of spec, etc.). Nope... same experience even the 2nd time round. Tried multiple string setup, etc. Just did not work for me and felt really unstable. My personal opinion is if a racquet doesn't feel good in stock form... it's not going to magically get that much better with weight.. A good racquet can be made better, but if you really don't vibe with a stick from the start it'll just feel like a heavier bad racquet.

    • @gregbishopmav
      @gregbishopmav 2 года назад +2

      I bought an ET and almost made the switch. But after weighting it up a little, it was just a crappier radical 😂 I didn't want to weight it but in stock, it's just a little too unstable and gets pushed around by big servers.

    I tried a lot of rackets in the past two years and the Radical MP is the one I went for and I absolutely love it! I play with it for a year now. The only thing I could complain about is that maybe I would have liked a little bit more plowthrough and or a slighty lower flex. On my forehand it is all fine but I sometimes struggle a bit with my 2hbh. Where when I play with my Blade 98 v7 (16x19) my 2hbh feels awesome. When I switch to a 1hbh the feeling is fine. Curious what the Auxetic tech will do to the radicals!

    Launch angle of ET is little bit low (for me). On video Nikki hits flatter (trajectory) with with stick. I think slightly wider pattern in the center of mains will be make this racket perfect. 100% agree about customization. Stiffness, crispness and feeling of this racket is perfect for me, but I prefer Solinco WO other this stick.

  • @hybrid11theory75
    @hybrid11theory75 2 года назад +2

    I wouldn't recommend adding weight at 3/9 on the ExtremeT because u loose a lot of maneuverability and quickness that makes this racquet stand out in first place. I've only added about 5 grams at 12 to counterbalance the weight of an overgrip and that's stable enough for most players...

    • @tennis-fan
      @tennis-fan Год назад

      Did you felt when adding weight in hoop that the racket become more stiff ? Looses that edge of softness that it has over radical or ex mp...

    • @hybrid11theory75
      @hybrid11theory75 Год назад

      @@tennis-fan Not really, but u have to be careful with strings and grips on this racquet. I've tried a leather grip + overgrip but there was too much unwanted vibration coming through. Also a full bed of stiff poly can be quite uncomfortable. I would def. recommend a hybrid setup with a round poly/multifilament. To your comparison, I found the radical to be more consistent and stable with a slightly larger sweetspot. The ET can be very erratic with a wrong setup and has a relatively small sweetspot so you'll frame a lot more balls.. ;)

    For extreme topspin strokes in forehand and backhand the extreme tour feels better. The radical is better for more conventional strokes x

    • @LarzB
      @LarzB 2 года назад +4

      That's too simplistic. Someone who can generate already a surplus of spin would probably prefer more control of the radical. That a racket has a more dense string pattern doesn't mean that the racket is for conventional strokes. There is nothing conventional about djokovic strokes but he plays with a 95 inch² racket with a 18x19 string pattern (as i can remember) which is much tighter than the radical. Thiem's strokes are loaded with spin but his babolat strike is tighter than the radical. And i can go on and on with examples.

    • @adriellepretre9047
      @adriellepretre9047 2 года назад

      I don’t refer to the string pattern. In my opinion I find the extreme suits my technique for generating more topspin. I find it more aerodynamic. So, maybe that is different for another person. It’s relative depending on the player.

  • @doublefaultaftermissedtoss

    I wonder what if you put the lively string on a stiff racquet and dead string to the lively racquet.

    • @raderT90
      @raderT90 2 года назад +1

      A lively string in a stiff racket will likely provide too much power and not enough control. While a dead string to a lively racket will help add control to the frame which already is powerful on its own. A good example would be like adding natural gut to a pure drive vs solinco hyper g. natural gut is lively and so would be too much power but solinco hyper g, a more dead string, would add control and spin and it matches the nature of the frame its being placed in.
