    Another good video. Funny how you just uploaded a video on this racquet. Literally was at a tournament and during practice someone enthusiastically informed me across the fence that the new Radicals are the 'racquet to get' on the market. The edition before I was not fond of at all but I used to use a 2016 Radical MPA 98 sq inch which was ok.
    Can only agree when you say the Radicals are more a tournament players choice. This is more so the case when you notice how few Pros even use it or endorse it. I have nearly never seen a Radical at open or lower level pro tournaments and rarely at club competitions even.
    Do you think this new Radical Pro would suit well for 1-handed back? And is there any other racquet similar with a 18x20 pattern? Surprised they dont try 18x20 also as Tecnifibre does.

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  Год назад

      Yeah, there is lots of things that surprise me to. The lack of variability in string patterns, the lack of 100 inch2 version and so on. But that's the beauty of marketing. It's just my idea but I believe, if they would make Radical MP with 100 inch2, it would be their best racket to go with if you are at good intermediate and advanced level. It would be the perfect MP. But It would damage the other rackets like Extreme MP, Speed MP, Gravity MP and so on. They would become obsolete. The Radicals really have it all if you are serious about tennis. I would also welcome 16x20 versions or 18x20 versions for sure to make them little bit more precise. But again, that would probably go against the Prestige line. So it's all about making the most money with the biggest lineup of rackets possible. And Head is for sure making the most rackets out there.
      The Pro version for my taste is too slow during the swing for a one handed backhand. Somehow the balance and overall manooovrlbity is too complicated. You need the second hand to really control the frame. Sadly the balance is 315 mm. I would suggest they make it at 310 mm for the 315 g Pro version to make it more manooovrable. But again, this would probably go against some of the Prestige rackets. The MP feels better for one hand in my opinion.

But It would damage the other rackets like Extreme MP, Speed MP, Gravity MP and so on. They would become obsolete''
      Everything in this unsustainable self-destructive corporate 'world we live in' is becoming more materialistically homogenised(homogenisation works better in the organic not the inanimate) and planned inferior. I swear if you a few others, someone with access and or skills to racquet construction and a investor who wanted to see proper technology be more easily accessible to the player came together and formed a co-operative that your racquet production would be superior than a large chunk of what is on sale.
      I was not that impressed(plushy feel that was it) with the new v8 Blade when it came out and the Wilson Ultras were not worth releasing.
      As for Head, agreed on the Speed and Gravity, however I dont think it would make the Extreme obsolete as Extreme MP seems to be more topspin inclined and easy to use at least from my experience compared to the Radicals. Was not a big fan on Extreme on the volleys and on serves its inferior to the v7 Blade 98 18x20. I do agree that a Radical 100 would end the Speed and Gravity even though there is claims that the new Gravity Pros are one of the best racquets made especially for 2023.
      ''The Radicals really have it all if you are serious about tennis''
      Well to say I am serious about tennis is an understatement and I have not had that positive experiences with Radicals especially the previous edition. I think they suit 2-handers and perhaps then if one is 2-hander they should try Radicals. For a future racquet review video I would like to try Radical MP and Pros and hopefully they work out better than my last experience as I am on the look for a better racquet not to mention string setup.
      ''but again, that would probably go against the Prestige line. So it's all about making the most money with the biggest lineup of rackets possible''
      Who though is actually using the Prestige's? How many players from club to semi-pro to pros are using or endorsing them? I very rarely see Prestiges anywhere and besides Cilic and Karatsev there is next to nil using it in top 100. Maybe there is a top junior using it but I nearly never see Prestiges at clubs or tournaments. So if Head came out with a 98, 99 and 100 that was precision tournament player based then how could it not be a overall positive move?
      ''The Pro version for my taste is too slow during the swing for a one handed backhand. Somehow the balance and overall manooovrlbity is too complicated.''
      Thats a shame but kind of what I expected. How would one customise the Radical to make it more one-handed friendly in your opinion then?

    @CH-yp5by 6 месяцев назад

    Similar string pattern to an Ezone 98 2022 7th edition, you will have to try to get spin but you can get a lot of it if you good enough but it allows you to flat the short out as well.
    I would argue it really does matter if you get the Pro or MP because there is room to modify the MP with the low 300 unstrung weight without making the static weight too high once its counter balanced.

    In regards to the Radical MP Aux and the Extreme Tour Aux. Which racket do you believe has more dwell time? In other words... which racket does the ball stay on the stringbed longer?

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  Год назад +1

      For my taste which is surprising, the dwell time for me was longer when using the Extreme Tour. It feels softer compared to Radical, which is actually weird, because more control oriented rackets are usually softer and power rackets are stiffer. But for these two frames, I feel it's the opposite. And according to Tennis Warehouse numbers, it is true.

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  Год назад

      They are different. I still think the Artengo has a more classic feel that reminds me of Pro Staff rackets. There is not much going on in terms of advanced technologies, the frame feels pure and raw. You don't really feel any helping hand there. On the contrary both Radicals and Ezones feel like they are enhanced so they have some helping tech inside that boost the overall performance. For some people it's better, but for other people who want the classic uncontaminated feel, the Artengo is the racket to try.

    • @CzechTennisGuy

      Hi, that's not easy to say. It depends on how strong player you are. The Radicals are easier to swing with, but at the same time the sweetspots feels smaller. 305 ISO is super stable, very powerful but also it's more demanding in terms of the swingweight. So if you can survive the 305 ISO's swingweight for 2 hours, it can become your best friend. Otherwise the Radicals are overall great players stick that are easy to pick up and play with. But it takes time to master both of these rackets. It also depends which Radical you are talking about. I would go with the MP version, it has more free power and the swing speed is faster with it.

      Trying a new racket never hurt anyone. So go for it, both are great rackets.

    what string you use for the racket?

      Head Lynx Tour 1.25 mm in orange color.

      @@CzechTennisGuy I found that Lynx Tour orange feels TERRIBLE, have you tried other strings in this racket? I tried it at 48 and 52 and both felt absolutely horrific. Since I've tried HyperG 18, Razor Code 1.2, multi/revolve hybrid, multi/dunlop explosive tour, poly tour rev, TAAN 8600, and they've all felt FAR better than Lynx Tour Orange

    Hello ,do you prefer Radical 2023 or Wilson Clash V2

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  Год назад +1

      Hi, that's a tough one. I really liked the Clash V2, I think it was a huge improvement over the first generation - everything was done better with this update. But Radicals are generally more capable rackets from the control and precision perspective. I depends on what you want - if you want brutal power and impressive spin, Clash is a lot powerful racket. But if you want more traditional players stick, Radical's are the one to go with.

    Your videos are FAAAAAR too long. Nobody is gong to listen to this for 40mins. Just get to the key points in less than 10mins if you want people watch.

      I know but I create the videos for myself. It's important to me how I make it. The audience is just a nice bonus. If someone is truly passionate and truly wants to get into the same mood and feel like I have, he/she will watch the most of the video. Who wants quick, fast, sensation info, has plenty of other channels to watch.

    In testing the Radical did you have any issues with directional control? How did it perform when you changed a shot's direction? Predictable?

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  Год назад

      Surprisingly the directional control wasn't that good as I expected to be. I struggled little bit with the long line shots. Cross courts are great. When you push the opponent constantly in the cross direction, the racket is overwhelming. But changing the pace from cross to long line wasn't that smooth. I didn't have that confidence going long line with these rackets as I feel the really precise targeting is not that great. I blaim the head shape for it and the denser 16x19 string pattern, which requires you to hit it in the sweetspot to gain the precision, otherwise you are too wide. I feel that the 18x20 pattern with wide spacing would be much better for these rackets.
