New Tecnifibre TF40 290g 16x19 Tennis Racket In Camo Design Is Out!
Good vid! I just bought Tf-x1 285 v1. I’m an aggressive player but with precision and control also, do u think will this racket fit with me? I have high hopes
A nice way to end the year. Thanks for all your videos and its good you have finally found your racquet(at least for now). It will be interesting to see how your choice will hold up with all the crazy amount of new racquets incoming. Have a good Jule Michal
Thank you Mattias and I wish you the best for 2025 as well.
I am also very much looking forward to demo the Tour 98
Is the gravity team , L or mp good for beginners? How does it compare to Pure drive?
Came for the tennis. stayed for the motivation. Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals!
We say the tfight 300 2025, 100 Sq inch, on the solow sports channel.
I feel like matte rackets becomes glossy after using them for a while
This happens sometimes around the throat section due to sweating.
Thanks man, and merry christmas for you, from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I enjoy your videos and your way to make the analisis of the rackets, and Happy New Year!!!!!
Thank you so much and merry christmas to Buenos Aires ✌
The v2 Clash was a major failure right down to the scarlet paint. The rubbery finish would get sticky in the heat. Terrible. And the person who designed it is gone from Wilson.
I can see that, the design was really unusual and not very pleasing to the male audience in my opinion. But the V2 played better for my taste. More solid and predictable. I've hit with the V3 regular version 100 today, played a doubles match. I've had a blast with the racket, super easy to play with and with insane amount of power. And the wooden sound is super loud when hitting the sweetspot, it goes really boom. So far I feel like it works pretty well in doubles where you need to react fast and also play pretty accurate. Surprised about how accurate I was in cross court rallies, full swings, volleys, dropshots. Good connection with the frame. Feels like a good update to me, responsive and easy to use.
Hey! I play with the blade 98 v9 16x19, also have the 18x20. Love the rackets and I am playing a very good level with it, but I love Federer, and I wonder if I would adapt to the RF 01... Do you think as a blade user, that like control oriented rackets, would transition well to the RF O1? Happy holidays!!
Thank you for what you did this year, keep producing content with your honest and true opinion. Keen to see your final RF review and the big hitter string compared to Alu Power. Based on your answers on a previous video I bought the RF Future, keen to test it !
Thank you and merry Christmas 🎄
Please compare the tour to PA98, PD98, Blade 98 and maybe even Speed MP?
Love you’re reviews Tennis guy 👌 ok which one do I buy Extreme tour 2022 , Vcore pro 97, Blade V8, Tecnifibre TF40 305 or Blade V8 I’m level 4.5 veteran solid all court game ✊
thats one ugly racket...
Yep, it's far away from being called a nice looking racket, I agree. The first two generations looked a lot better.
The yonex ezone 2025 is the most ugliest racket ever 😂
@@Tennis040 I don't like the colour either. The racket looks like a toy and it's very distracting.
True 🔥
Please be sure to do a comparison with the v1. A lot of Clash users did not upgrade to the v2 cos the aesthetics were worse (subjective) and there wasn’t enough difference between the versions to justify (again subjective). Thanks!
100 pro might be interesting
Finally 😊
Hello there well i have to say i dont agréé with you, this racket was a blast for me the first time i player a match with it. The feeling i ve had is the best since many years. You can imagine how pessimistic i was in the beginning because I am used to the pure aero
2025 best selling racket, wilson should take notes
I hope Wilson will make next Blades in full gloss like the Pro versions. The same with Pro Staffs and Ultras.
@@CzechTennisGuy I hope so mate
Tennis Guy… you are the best….Can a 4.0 senior singles player handle the new Gravity Tour? And how does the Gravity 98 compare to the Ezone 98….Ive been playing with the Shift 99 prototype, but I am developing a little sensitivity in the elbow, so I will consider the Ezones, Vcores and the Gravity … I always play with gut in mains 54 and poly in crosses 52… Hope you are well. Best, John
Hi John, thank you for stoping by. I think the Gravity Tour is pretty easy to use, but of course it requires some good hitting to truly unleash it's potential. I think the regular MP version would be better for you. With the Gravity I feel I have quite a lot more control compared to the Ezone series. The Ezones are closer to Pure Drives in my opinion, but even more forgiving. But I will maybe scare you a little bit now. Last couple of days I started feeling pain in my elbow. Pretty bad, never had that before. I can even feel it during sleep, sometimes I wake up during the night with a burning pain. Something happened and I'm not sure what is that. But in one of my older videos I talk how softer rackets can hurt your arm and I'm little bit worried that this was actually caused by the Gravity rackets, which are very soft, RA is under 60. I always prefer stiffer rackets with RA around 65-70. But of course I cannot be sure what is the cause because I did test also the Pure Drives 2025 at the same time and they are stiff. Who knows, maybe changing the rackets all the time is the reason. Or maybe I'm just overtrained, I've hit several hours a week at this time so maybe that's it. Anyway, I think for your age and level the regular Gravity MP would be a lot better and enjoyable. Anyway, thanks for your comment and enjoy Christmas time.
@ I hope your elbow heals quickly… Somehow you should try to determine the actual cause. It might be difficult since you demo so many racquets. I’m always tempted to hit with a pure poly, but, to protect my elbow, I always use a gut mains 55, poly cross 52….i hope this is a good set up for me. Merry Christmas, best, John
you are butchering Mercedes omg haaha
I just fellt in love with the Speed pro Novak. Damn, why not spent a polygam tennislife?
I hope Head will continue making glossy frames in the years to come. People will pay few extra bucks for it, no problem at all.
@@CzechTennisGuy absoutely a gamechanger. I played all the Gravity versions( Short time). There are three more guys in my Club with gravity. There will be more, since the price goes down a little with the new glossy line. The new design will reach female players too. The most people buy the cheapest for there Money, but is has to be a big brand. Most in my Club stick with Head. Every 2 years new frames( cosmetics ) from Head makes small budget frames. So Head goes cheaper and cheaper. There are no Yonex guys for example….
@@Tennissensitive In my club there weren't Yonex players at all couple years ago. But since I started making videos on them for the Czech audience, I talked about those rackets in my club, explained the quality, after some time there were more and more people interested in the Yonex brand. Now there are several good young players using the Ezones and Percept rackets and they are very happy. Sometimes you just need a spark to ignite it into a big flame.
The is no need not to buy them❤😊
Thank you for the informative review. I would like to know your opinion. If you compare the new Gravity Tour or MP with the Wilson Blade V9 16/19. What would you say? Is it worth switching? I really like the Blade because it has a lot of control, enough power and is very arm friendly. But I'm interested in the new Gravity, but I don't know if it would give me anything more
Hi, i have the artengo tr 960 control tour, tecnifibre IGA glossy paint, wilson steam 100 ( badosa racket), 3 extraordinary rackets!!! the question is: this gravity is the same level?
Hi, yes, they are on the same level. I would say the feel is a mix between the Iga and TR960 Control Tour. You get the solid feel upon impact. But Gravity's are more flexible so the ball stay on the strings little bit longer and creates the sensation of feeling like grabbing the ball in your hand.
GRAVITY 98 THOR
You spent 5 minutes on glossy paint... 🙂why not go directly into hitting experience?
Because it’s a big selling point and a lot of people care about the looks of a racquet…
I think thats okay, and you can skip that part right?
@@maulana.arjuna ya, end up I skip the whole video.
Because there will be a second full ultimate review. This first review is bout explaining the whole thing in a more emotional way let's say. I always want others to feel the same what I feel and it takes time to explain it a little bit more. I can make it in 5 minutes, but I don't like that short format.
Actually this is why for the first time I am interested in Gravity; is the paint color similar to Ultra Pro? The Ultra Pro is the most beautiful gloss racket beside Prestige aux 2.0
Can’t wait to demo this racquet next month 🔥
What about the MP L and Team? Will you be reviewing these? Thank you
Sadly no. The MP and Tour are the only ones I was given.
on the tenniswarehouse website the sw is 328, is that wrong? Tour.
It's possible. The racket balance and weight can be little bit off, so the number is different.
Great Job describing the feel of the rackets. It is very difficult to find the right words, but I can feel the rackets in my mind already. Very excited to play the MP. Thanks.
1:15 Which wilson blade did you use here the 100 or the 98?
That's the 98 18x20 version.
Here is my review of the 98 16x19 - ruclips.net/video/a16CrYNp36A/видео.htmlsi=l2sn8VV5p87wSkRT
It could be Ostapenko's rackets. I read that she plays with an actual blade 101l in a steam mold painted as a Blade.
Is it all rubber? Breathability?
It's breathable, but of course the rubber skin makes it little bit less breathable. But I would say it's more breathable than Gel-Resolution 9.
On tenniswarehouse they tell the swingweight should be at 328 so 320 it's pretty low for that kind of racquet you need swingweight for stabilise the racquet. The previous generation of the wilson blade was around 317 for the swingweight and some people was complain about the stability now it's around 324 and it's much better. But i didn't test the new gravity the auxetic could do a really good job and a lots of reviews is good. The racket looks beautiful.
For my taste the numbers I got are great for these rackets. 328 for the Tour would be too high for most people in my opinion. Interesting that TW has for both rackets exactly 8 points higher SW compared to my numbers. But my QC test is here to show you, that you can also get a racket with different specs that are shown online. It's just based on luck. But the history showed me that almost every single racket on TW has higher SW compared to the rackets I received. Maybe for Europe they always choose rackets with lower SW and for the US they ship rackets with higher SW, I don't know but it's suspicious.
Agreed! Feel like we might have same style of play. What string tension do you think would work best in this blade 98 v9?
I use 24/23 kg. (53/51 lbs)
Thank you for such a detailed review! It's very helpful for me! I’m planning to switch to the Gravity 98 racket from the TF40 305 98 2022. I hope the Gravity will provide a bit more maneuverability, speed, and fewer errors while maintaining power from the baseline and on serves. Can you confirm this?
Yes, I can confirm that. It's a lot easier to play with Gravity 98 compared to TF40 305 2022. It's more forgiving and it has more free power, too.
Thanks very much for your review. I will split my following post into 2 categories for more clarity: WINTER TENNIS Very relevant for me at the moment as I'm about to buy a case for my winter tennis (indoor medium fast hard courts - green set). I'm a 47 year old male tennis player (EU equivalent of 5.5+ in the US) training regularly with promising juniors. This past weekend played the best tennis of my life on indoor courts and was using Technifibre Court. I hadn't heard of this ball at all but after 4 hours of play it's still going strong. It has excellent playability, feel and most importantly makes the court feel like medium pace so rallies can take place (I personally hate fast surfaces or conditions where the point ends in less than 5 shots). In a nutshell: this was a rare find and a very pleasant surprise particularly as I have had tennis elbow in the past and it can sometimes flare up when using harder balls. This was a dream ( note: there is a 15 minute break in period where the balls seem to have a low bounce but after that they really play like a dream). I'm also going to be testing out the Technifibre Club and compare the two. For hard courts used to use Dunlop AO but their longevity of late has gone down the drain and they play too fast. I saw your review on the Club and X1 and was just a bit scared of trying them out because you mentioned that in both cases they have a break in period of approx 45 minutes and my winter sessions are on average 75 mins per session. This being the case should I nonetheless try out the Technifibre Club before deciding what to buy? I've also heard from others on the Diadem Court Premier. Any thoughts on that ball? SPRING / SUMMER TENNIS In Spring /Summer (April - October) I mainly play on Clay and have kind of resorted (after a lot of trial and error) to Dunlop AO (I tried the X1's last year and they were like bricks for 30 minutes - it killed my arm. lol!). However I have also recently been hearing about the Diadem Premier Clay Court ball. Any thoughts on that ball for clay court tennis? PS. Also one other thing to note with the Technifibre Court. Contrary to all other balls I've tried, after 4 hours of play the bounce was actually higher than when opened out of the can and best of all they don't fluff up while also not feeling too fast on the court. It almost defies logic.
Hi, Did you find any differences in the sweetspot sizes ? Was having a look on TW lab, and very surprised to notice a very small sweetspot for the future compared to the 01. Same for the pro, which is listed to have an even bigger sweetspot than an Ezone 98 … I wonder how is that possible since almost every RF’s characteristics are the same. Thks
Quite low swingweight for my taste. I would like to see them 5 pts higher.
I feel like the SW is actually perfect for these rackets. And it will be very easy to customize them so another 5 SW points is a matter of 1-2g of lead tape at 12 o clock.
Why u didnt switch it
At that time I wasn't interested in switching to that brand. But with the RF 01 I found something unique and special.
What level of players will you recommend these two rackets to?
The MP can easily work great also for lower beginners up to advanced juniors. The Tour is obviously best for intermediate and advanced adults.
You prefer blade v9 or this? And why thanks
I prefer Blade V9, because it's overall easier to play with.
Can't wait for the playtest.
Thank you. I like this format and I have been waiting for the new Gravity MP 👍 Could it be, that the strings are more than 16g? I think if you measure by a 1/10th gram, you should also measure the strings that way. 🙏🏼
I always count strings for a 100 in2 headsize 17g, but almost always I see on TW specs that they measure the strings 15-16g. So assume that 16g is the average weight of strings for both 100in2 and 98in2 headsizes. Of course it can vary between 15-17g depending on the string pattern. But that's a minor number in my opinion. Of course unstrung specs are always the best but then you don't know the strung SW, which is more important for most players. It would be great if racket companies put info about he unstrung SW of their rackets on the frame or on the specs sheet. Some companies to that, the smaller ones.
It will be one of the best seller in 2025
@@Tennissensitive I am seriously considering to buy it as soon as it is available, and not wait for the first wave of used ones. MP will probably be around 250Eur after rebate. 🥶 But I want it, and @Czechtennisguy said I should buy it 🫡
Look at the new pure drives 😂
Yeap, new Pure Drives 2025 are relaxing on the armchair 😀 They will be in my next quality control video.
parece o oito com bigode.
Speed Legend is glossy and looks / feels amazing!
No yonex in your tests?
Next in line is Babolat Pure Drive 2025 regular/98, Wilson Clash V3, Tecnifibre Tfight 2025 and new Yonex Ezone as well. Which versions I don't know but I assume it will be 100 and 98. But recently they send me also the lighter versions, so who knows. You can find some Yonex QC tests on my channel, just look for them.
