      For my taste it's not bad, but it is a more low to the ground feel shoe rather than a comfy one. I switched to Rush Pro 4.0 this season and it's absolutely fantastic. It's better in every aspect so I recommend trying the 4.0 or the new 4.5 version.

    My 10-year-old already plays with the yonex percept 280g adult size . He already plays national competitions. I thought about testing the Boom MP, MPL and the Extreme L version. What do you indicate from him? Normaly i take off the cushion and put only a one overgrip. That reduces almost 10g from raquet. Do you think that is Boom MP can be bether making this change and recducion wheight?

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy 3 дня назад

      Hi, for your son I would suggest a lighter frame overall, not just replacing a regular grip with an overgrip. So for a 10 year old the best weight is around 255 g and definitely not adult lenght. He should be playing with 26'' racket until 11-12 years old. But of course it depends on the hight. If he is over 150 cm tall and well developed, regular lenght is the way. My recommendation is Babolat Pure Drive Super Light (255g, 645cm2). For his age it's perfect. Yonex Percept 280g has SW of 313. That's not for a 10 old boy, not at all. Such a high swingweight can really hurt his arm.

    • @brunoconti512
      @brunoconti512 2 дня назад

      @@CzechTennisGuy Thank you for the reply. He is 1.50m and the Percept Light is 302 SW. The total weight of it with strings (Multifilament) is 298g. He use to play with the 265g Vcore Game and found it very unstable. As he is in a competition team of a local club, he trains 4x a week and already has an advanced technical level, so my doubt if he already took a 295g Boom, reducing 10g by removing the Cushion and leaving only overgrip. Have you ever tested the gravity MP L?

    Hi! I have always been a fan of your videos but bumped into this video while searching information on TF-X1. Currently I am playing T-Fight ISO 300 (which has 301g unstrung but underspeced balance of 314mm and 278sw unstrung), and but I want a tad more power and considering switching to either TF-X1 300 or Tempo 298 given the attractive prices right now. I do like the "pop" in T-Fight and really love the maneouvrability of 98sq head size so Tempo 298 sounds attractive but the spin potential and built-in dampener in TF-X1 look attractive too (I had wrist issues and thus nowadays I hit two-handed forehand). I just fear that the swingweight on TF-X1 might be too demanding. Any thoughts to share?

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy 7 дней назад

      Hi, I would not recommend switching to the TFX1 once you've hit with TFight 300 ISO. The TFight is a better racket overall. With TFX1 you will for sure gain more free power and bigger spin potential, but you will lose a lot of the manooovrlbity and precision. The dampening in the TFX1 is not really something very special, the racket is still very stiff. But on the other hand if you hit double handed forehand, it can be a good choice, because the SW will no longer be a problem for your two hands and instead of precision and control you need more power (depth) for your shots. You play double handed backhand I assume, too.

    • @ryoumeda4361
      @ryoumeda4361 7 дней назад

      @@CzechTennisGuy You nailed it. T-Fight is such a good racket that it's stable but soft enough to hit comfortably. Probably I'll stick to it, but it's always tempting to test something else 🤣 Yes, I hit two-handed forehand & backhand and head heavy rackets are no issues. Wanna test Tempo 298 someday but I generally prefer softer rackets so I'd be better off sticking to T-Fight.

    For an advanced counter puncher ntrp 4.5-5 with the best shots first serve,slice,drop shots but also advanced forehand,backhand and sometimes.atack on net there is big diference between tf 40.and t fight 305?

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy 7 дней назад

      TF 40 has more control, feels more muted, more precise. The TFight 305 has more free power and a really nice blend of manooovrlbity, stability and spin potential. I would go with TFight 305 that also helps you more when defending.

      I agree. The new RF 01 feel underpowered. Easy to swing with, but the free power is muted by the very dense string pattern in the center. So the sweetspot is very small compared to other 98's on the market. I recommend lower tension around 48-52 lbs / 21-24 kg. And in combination wiht more elastic polyester, maybe even some Soft version.

    Coming from PS85, now using both RF01Pro and Shift 300 strung with HyperG 40 and HyperG Soft 36, both are good sticks. Comfy, good feel, enough power, better plough and stability naturally on RF01 Pro. Small sweetspot on RF? Its fine. In the end, to each on own, tho' reviews can serve as indication; taste, ability, stroke shape, type of play and opponents are different. For me a rec player playing 3x per week, once quite intensely w drills and others mostly doubles, these are fine sticks. Better than Boom, Extreme, Speed, BoostDrive, Ezone 110 and FX500. Much better than Whiteout. Zero regret using both on rotation.

      I can see that coming from a PS85 this can be a super smooth transition. But for a 98/100 in2 headsize user the sweetspot feels like with 18x20 string pattern. It's really small and muted, feels almost stiff and hard. Maybe it's the string and tension, ALU Power on high tension doesn't really feel nice in these rackets.

    I played with RF01 PRO. I've never played with worse stick. Sorry. There is absolutlety nothing behind it apart a marketing. However, in my opinion it's one of the most beautiful racquet at all. Great matt black ish colour looks great to me!

      For me it's the opposite. It plays a lot better than it looks. Everyone feels it different.

      I can say the same about regular RF 01. I feel like it's already not a Pro Staff and not a Blade so far. My 315 grams 6 year old v 11.5 Pro Staff is way more better in terms of feel and precision
