Yes. I checked with the instruction manual and it says the unit will stop when water runs out.

No. Not at all. It's mostly decorative but it does humidify some, but as far as heat, it does not heat at all.

My didn’t come with the max line so I pour a lot of water and it over flow it turn on fine but now it won’t turn on and the light is blue what do I do throw it or wait till it’s dry
