Hiding the front windshield in the chest is genius. Something Transformers toys have always struggled with is hiding that giant piece of translucent plastic anywhere other than the back and this guy’s engineering it top notch.
the decepticon Sideways in Armada and Cybertron was always an interesting character. Too bad he never even got a chance in ROTF! He was offed like all the other bots and cons in Bayformers XD

To be clear, if we're talking about accurate scaling, than Sideswipe(both robot and vehicle mode) should be a bit bigger. I've seen an actual corvette stingray in real life and while they're not taller than a Camero, they're definitely wider and slightly longer.But for scaling with Optumus, I'd say Bumblebee should be shrank down a little bit
I'm no vehicle person, but from my research it's more like Optimus should be bigger, since Bumblebee, Jazz, Barricade, and (I think?) Ratchet are all well scaled to each other. Ironhide should also be a bit bigger. He's surprisingly huge.

He scales pretty well with MPM Bumblebee in both modes.
That head size is my biggest nitpick with this figure. It just looks too small.

I think I have the original mold, have to say, this looks like somewhat better, and a lot better painted, bigger version - and like the original mold, it looks a lot better than the studio series to me. That bit of space on the abdomen is there, though a bit less, on the original: though there part of that space between those tabs is taken up by a screw that holds that chest/abdomen bit to the armature that moves it.
I think the scale is correct. Bumblebee is a foot bigger than Sideswipe in robot mode. The alt modes are also about the same size...

Now that I take another look at the engineering of this, I could definitely see a couple pointers Hasbro or a 3rd party company could take for a Masterpiece Dino/Mirage concerning the midsection considering he's one of the more slender bots in the franchise.
