Same. At this point I’m almost convinced that content creators do it on purpose to encourage comments for the algorithm, so I just dislike if they don’t get it right

100% includes all pokemon in male and female non shiny, male and female shiny, male and female alpha not shiny, male and female alpha shiny. Eventually you'll run out of space and need to send them to HOME.
One of the lake trios need to use explosion a bunch of times for perfecting the dex. EXPLOSION.
I haven’t looked too hard at the lake trio’s entries, but let me guess;

@@cryolitegem Correct, though in PLA Explosion only deals 75% or so of self damage instead of 100%.
And it's not the only pokemon that needs to do that... Drifblin too, and a lot of pokemons have other recoil moves to use.

Makes sense considering Azelf is known in 6v6 PVP Smogon Singles to set up entry hazards and explode. 😂
Actually 100%ing a pokemon’s research tasks does give you something: increased shiny odds for that specific pokemon. Thank goodness you don’t have to 100% the entire dex just for a shiny Infernape, that would be insane. But realistically it would probably be easier to just farm mmo’s for shinies.
Valid! I think overall it would have been nice to get some sort of token of appreciation though for all this work you gotta put into getting this far.
This needs to be a streamed relay race where teams of players 100% the game in a single sitting, rotating between players so people can eat and sleep. 4 teams. 3 players. Multiple cameras on every setup. Rotating announcers. Special guests.
These types of runs are insane. It actually sounds weird but I worry about peoples health during them. I feel like these types of runs should be limited to like segmented only or something.

i was here throughout basically this entire run, it was absolutely incredible to watch! halqery was so dedicated to finishing it even in the hardest parts of the run, nothing but respect

I mean, the reward for perfecting a Pokedex entry is getting the shiny odds down to like 1/500 for that entry. So he's got the shiny odds of the entire dex to that.
I've been slowly working towards my own 100% of Arceus, which is currently on pause due to Pokemon SV, but massive props to Halqery for not only doing it all, but doing it all as fast as possible!
i'm about to start doing this. have there been any surprisingly annoying tasks you've encountered so far? one i've noticed that i'm not too excited about is that every baby Pokemon needs to be caught while asleep at least once 😫
@@kasagure. That isn't too hard, they all have a chance to spawn as part of massive mass outbreaks, so when that happens, just leave em there for last after you check the other spots (if you want to check other spots). Then you can just wait for one of those 4 to fall asleep, doesn't take too long.
The most annoying tasks is the large number of Use X Move or Use Strong/Agile style. I usually carry like 100 leppa berries just to quickly refresh PP without having to travel back to camp, but it does take a while per pokemon.

It's funny that this video mentions Isekai out of nowhere, but questions japanese bean throwing tradition. Setsubun, also known as bean throwing festival is a traditional event in japan that involves throwing beans at evil spirits, also known as oni. The giant ass pokemon was said to be possessed and therefore bean throwing fixed it.

My giratina fight was so ridiculously easy cuz i just used hypnosis and giratina somehow kept sleeping for 6 turns straight every time
It was easy for me cause my dialga was level 89

Honestly, I'm just happy to hear that I'm not the only one who REALLY struggled with the Arceus fight. It took me a good long while to beat, and I def had to take some breaks in the middle after some heartbreakingly close but failed attempts.

i had no idea the buisel quest was hard, i got it randomly when i talked to the guy after catching like 3 non-alpha buisel
Yeah lmao a ton of folks spent months on that quest. I think the biggest thing that people didn't know is all you need is an Alpha to beat him. 😂
Yeah, it can be hilariously difficult to get a Buizel of that size if you aren't lucky. I never spent as much time as some people, but it still took me a few days
@@PulseEffects I caught dozens of buizel trying to complete it with no luck before I finally gave up.
I had been trying to complete it before advancing the story, so there were no Alpha Buizels available.
175 hours is INSANE, even though I wasn't trying to go as fast as I could, by the time I perfected the dex I had like 500 in-game hours logged lmao

But also, it makes me wonder just how much faster it could be if it ever gets TAS'd, presuming sleep is a big chunk of the run.

wouldn't getting the shiny and male/female forms in the dex count as 100%?
I could see why folks would want to include this, but this is a line we kinda have to draw for the leaderboard rules.
While shinies are super cool, it's a rough requirement to add to any speedrun leaderboard.
Do the quests with the trials for every individual Pokémon in the game not count towards 100%?
Could you please explain this? Is there a quest that adds tasks which aren't listed in the pokedex? He spends enough time talking about the tasks by themselves

as someone who has over 100 hours and is chipping away at perfecting the dex while shiny hunting, MAD respect to this guy for SPEEDRUNNING it.
I find the buizel research task so funny because I completed immediately on accident. I didn't even know it was a difficult task because I had already caught a buizel that big, so I thought that the guy was looking for a totally normally sized buizel.
Man for PLA bosses Arcanine was the one that took me OUT. Clevor and Hisuian Liligant were easy and Arcanine came and said you are my @#$@ now. So badly I was WAY over leveled for the rest of the game lol.

I perfected a lot of Pokemon in LA to get better chances for shiny on them, but in general i just settled for the shiny charm. Getting perfect pokedex takes a LOT of time
The funniest part of it all is that it isn't even 100% since you need t take on ingo's solo trials for every pokemon and do the 50 dream battle to have the arceus mark on your trainer card

I actually massively struggled with the volo/giratina fight during my first run as my entire team was full of weaknesses against them. Against volo i could generally use 1 pokemon to beat 1, maybe 2 pokemon. Meaning every single time i had to fight giratina i only had 2 or 3 pokemon left. After a lot of struggle i finally beat volo and giratina

Yeah I could never do this. I caught all the pokemon and beat up God and that was enough for me. My playtime was still 70 hours though.

When I saw the trailers for Pokemon Arceus, the tasks are what sold me the game, I found that was a cool addition...
... Then I faced some really tedious tasks and that's what made me put down the game :')

nintendo knew no one should ever do this giving you no reward and therefore no incentives to do this 500 hour long task which could easily be longer when you need to take breaks to keep your sanity up

I don't know, when there is 'more to the game' after a 100%, its not 100%. Which is shiny hunting.
Shiny Hunting is not a part of 100%ing a game.
Extra stuff like that (that doesn't unlock anything new or gain anything, just an extra) is usually included in something else like a 110% run (not the 100%)
