A very sad fact about most cities in this modern world. Around 20yrs or so ago my buddy lost his liquor license for a while. He switched to byob with a cover charge and still did good business. It kept him open until he got his license reinstated.

The building beyond the parking lot across form police headquarters was another club in the 80s. 14:29 the place down the steps Google Maps 2009 puts as Flamo Lounge? For Norma Jeans it wasn't just alcohol violations it was also other stuff too.
On the 2nd floor above the Jewel box use to be a boxing ring run by Eli Hanover. He was the man in Baltimore when it came to professional fighting, and he promoted the fights and had several ranked fighters in his gym.
Among the pros during the time I trained there were Leo Saenz, Johnny Wilburn, Lou Benson, Marvin Mcdowell, Larry Washington and several others
After a brief illness passed away in late 70's
Around 20yrs or so ago my buddy lost his liquor license for a while. He switched to byob with a cover charge and still did good business. It kept him open until he got his license reinstated.
Restaurant, right? Not a bar. Seen lots of BYOB restaurants, never a bar.
Restaurant bar, kitchen only open for breakfast and lunch except on weekends it ran until 8pm making food. He had a lot of food customers but not really enough help to be a full-time restaurant.
@@mjc8248 Checks out.
In 31 and already feeling like the old days need to come back. Man I miss with things were simpler
Good times back in the day on the whole strip! Thanks for this.
I loved this video!
I used to DJ at HUSTLER back in 2006! I once wrote up a proposal to put together a "Reality Show" for hopefully HBO..... where cameras would be placed all about Crazy Johns... and capture the insanity that occurred nightly when the clubs would close at 2am
it's nothing like what it used to be. it was so much fun to be had back in the day
Years ago, the old manager of the Oasis called me and asked me to come in and work the day shift. I was working a corporate job at the time and declined....and I did end up regretting it greatly. lol Old Mac was a class act. RIP brother. Worked at the Mouse Trap, Stage Door and a few others over the years.
surprisingly friendly folk
this was a great video, wow
Its amazing how , The Baltimore City Dept of Housing and The Baltimore City Central Police Dept are neighbors to the notorius Strip Club Block .
I've only been to the Gold Club on Pulaski Highway, and that's how my credit cards got really messed up in 2018. Right now I rarely go to those kind of clubs, unless I'm in Las Vegas(which is basically twice a year, atm)
And it's in UHD! Incredible.
I watched a minute before I realized it was the guy I remember from crappy hotel videos, what's up dude? Subbed.
I actually thought that hookah sign said hooker sisters ...my eyes need sleep
dan's got the greatest laugh
Times square in New York in the 70s was all peep shows and xxx rated shows etc. People forget how it used to be and so crazy too.
Damn there is some crazy history on that block I remember the movie Blaze about Blaze Starr but it was based down in Louisiana and she was with Governor Earl Long but Starr did start performing at he 2 o clock club in 1950 then she ended up buying the place in 1968 and she danced there while she owned it.
Love you guys
Dan, Its Telly! I watch all ya videos
