      That's just wild 😅 But it's believable at the HS level. I've seen Damage Wagner score 90 in a game. Kobe girls team won by 88 😂 But Wilt was really a once in a lifetime man. There could be more, but most big guys don't put in the kind of work he put in early enough.

    I dunno if it's pure chance that before basketball, Wilt was a track & field champ (sprints, high jump, shotput) and weightlifter. He then became a Harlem Globetrotter. So, with inborn height, raced faster and jumped higher, stamina and strength, he clearly dominated the NBA from his rookie year and onwards. No one comes close. The true G.O.A.T.

    • @dct124
      @dct124 7 месяцев назад +1

      You should pull up his interviews. You could tell he was very intelligent. I think he ended the GOAT debate, but the NBA really wanted Jordan to be the face of the NBA as we came out of the depression. Wilt really was made out to be the villain.
      Without the 6 rings argument, MJ isn't even in the same class as Wilt. To grab 25rpg and put up 12bpg regularly along with 5-7apg, not to mention points. No question, it's Wilt.
      Wilt could play in any era and dominate all Centers past, present, or future. If the 3pt line existed, he had range too. Sadly there's only one video showing him shoot 3s, but it's so damn effortless and nonchalant 😅 you knew the game just came easy to Wilt. I think he benefited mostly from the Harlem Globetrotters with his scoring ability. Those guy's really figured out the science behind the game and were the origin of street ball on the big stage.

    • @lisa-lg9vk

      Don't forget he played a lot of point guard with the Trotters. More than once I saw him bring the ball up on the dribble to start a fast break in the nba. He excelled in every facet of the game. There's no question that if block shots were counted during his career he'd have that record too. I saw him block two or three of Marlene unlockable sky hooks in one trip down the floor! I was so mad because Kareem was my man, I think Wilt blocked a total of five sky hooks that game.

      @@AHMAD-2324 Wilt played different roles on different teams. He averaged 34.6 points and 25.6 rebounds in the playoffs with the Warriors. 34/25 is better than Jordan's stat line as a scorer. He averaged a 30/20 for 4 post seasons.. Nobody else has even had a series average of 30/20.He led the post season 3 times in PER in 4 post seasons. Was only player to ever score 50 points in an elimination game. Which he did 3 times, winning all 3 games.
      He was 24.9/27.5 with the Sixers where he passed more and shot less because he had a better team. He had 30 rebound series at this time(which no one else has done) and numerous triple doubles in the playoffs and series averages of triple doubles. He would have won Finals MVP but it didn't exist. He led the post season 3 times in PER and 2 times in Defensive W/S in 4 post seasons. Both in 1967.
      He was 15.8/22.3 with the Lakers. He was a defensive anchor and outlet passer with them. He won the Finals MVP with 18.8 ppg, so if it was a big problem, he wouldn't have gotten MVP. He led the post season 3 times in Defensive W/S in 5 post seasons.
      He never had a post season with less than 20 rebounding average. He holds numerous playoff rebounding records including the highest rebounding average in the Finals. Most consecutive triple doubles, most FG made in a 7 game series, etc.
      His career averages in the playoffs are lower because he played a disproportionate amount of games with the Lakers where his job was not to score. He played 50%(80/160) of his total games and 69%(24/35) of his finals games as a Laker.
      Wilt led the league in scoring his first 7 seasons. He gradually became more and more focused on defense as his career progressed. He led the post season in PER 6 times his first 8 years. He led the post season in Defensive Win Shares 5 out of his last 7 seasons. In 1967, he led the post season in both PER and Defensive Win Shares. The only other players to do this are Kareem, Lebron, Shaq and Jordan. Only Kareem has led post season more times in PER. Only Russell has led post season in DWS than Wilt. Wilt second most times led post season in PER. and second most times led post season in DWS.

      Not quite true. I was at the game between the L.A. Lakers and the Philadelphia 76ers when Wilt playing for the 76ers picked up two quick technical fouls and was sent to the locker room. He must have had some choice words for the ref because it all happened so quickly. When he received his double technicals, he then quietly walked off the court.

      Because Basketball was largely a white sport back then with white all stars that would still be great players in today’s league.
      They want white people and especially white kids to believe it was always a black sport and the white teams before segregation ended were all trash placeholders. The only white player that anyone ever gave any credit after the 2000s started was Larry Bird and he is considered a freak now.

    So many try to diminish what he could do, and did. As much flack as Jabbar gave him, and Wilt gave back, Jabbar said himself, "Wilt was unbelievable." He gave Jabbar all he could handle, with Jabbar in his prime and Wilt 12 years older, bad knee, and ready to retire. That, in itself, is unbelievable, but we saw it. Jabbar bragged in an interview, on youtube, that he dunked on Wilt. Yes, he did, a time, or two, but Wilt dunked on him, and had him ducking for cover. He also got the timing down and blocked more than 2 skyhooks on Jabbar, in the same game. I don't usually conjecture, but I believe, strongly, that prime against prime, Wilt would cover his s--t up, big time. He would be gunning for him.

This in sports is an unbelievable combination, fairly unmatched till today. Perhaps only Jabar, but probably dominate him in his prime, and Shaq. Wilt's body appears sturdier than Jabar.
